Oh, we're both scared of spiders apparently! The big ones frighten me the most. There's just something about them that is really creepy crawly...for some reason I like other insects but not spiders.
And we both like the Chronicles of Narnia and Wonder! Those are all very, very good books. Which is your favorite book in the Narnia series? Mine is the Horse and His Boy. The interesting thing is when I first read Wonder, I didn't like it, but when I read it the second time, I loved it.
What kind of poetry do you like to write? I like to write rhyming poems with rhyme scheme, meter, and consistent syllable length.

Ooh yes another magical ability for the Shadow Wolves sounds good. And yes yes I love your other ideas too... Ideas So Far (sometimes all that's needed is a list)
~There are two main packs, the Forest Wolves and the Ice Wolves. (I'm tempted to have more packs than this, but then we'd need any number of charries to make up all of them, so better to stick with two...)
~These wolves have some magical abilities, such as... hmm. Possibly creating snow/ice or trees (depending on which pack they're from)? Or being able to disappear, such as during snowstorms for the Ice Wolves, and being able to communicate with other species; and possibly some wolves could be able to foresee some things of the future. This definitely needs work...
~There are also Shadow Wolves, who mingle with the other wolves and are not known to be different; however, they are different, and blend into shadows because of their dark fur. (Btw, I think Ice Wolves should usually be white, and Forest Wolves should be brown.) Long ago, the Shadow Wolves were known to be evil and cast out of the packs/not accepted by the other wolves, but now the other wolves have forgotten, and the Shadow Wolves have returned to the packs and are waging a secret war to take down all other wolves.
~Eventually, they are discovered and the other wolves try to stop them, although the Shadow Wolves have already grown powerful; for a long time there is tension among some wolves, conflict between others, and finally the packs realize that they're all the same; and they're stronger together than they could ever be apart...

I love that zentangle! It looks amazing :D And zentangles are also called mandalas? That would make sense... I've heard of mandalas before, and they do look like zentangles. I definitely want to post some knotwork designs here, as soon as I have the time (and proper lighting) to take the pictures of them.
Yes, Origami's a hedgehog too, although a pink paper crane would actually suit her personality perfectly. And oh yeah, there are some captcha things which are very very difficult... CB captchas can be difficult too - when I first joined it was like "What is this captcha thing trying to say?? Why can't it write its letters properly???" But I've finally started distinguishing when a letter's an a and when it's a d, and so on XD
Btw, I just wanted to say, I love the descriptions for the Vault of Magic's rooms that you posted on your ski lodge! I didn't manage to say so on the thread itself, but each floor is so nicely themed to its season, and so creative :)

When you said there are two main packs that made me think that the Shadow Wolves might just be wolves who have the ability to blend into shadows and used to be openly evil, but can otherwise blend in with the other two packs. That way, their camoflauging into shadow ability would be a complete secret.
Communicating with other species...do you mean other types of animals, or packs? I like the being able to disappear in a snowstorm (or cause snowstorms even?) magical ability for the Ice Wolves, as well as the foreseeing into the future ability (although we'd have to be careful that we don't accidentally reveal too much about the future). And then abilities for the Forest Wolves...maybe they're able to use potions or something like that, made out of plants or herbs?
I agree with the colors you mentioned, btw.
A mandala is a circle pattern, with smaller circles nested into bigger circles. I usually like to draw 1 quarter mandalas, because they fit very snugly onto any line and don't take up as much space as full mandalas. I think zentangles are any drawing that is intended to be relaxing. They're usually drawn slowly and thoughtfully, which is what makes them relaxing. The one I've attached below is a noom zentangle I loosely themed as fourth-of-july (I hope that it actually attached). Oh yes, it's so hard sometimes to find proper lighting!! Many times in the past I've I ended up getting a shadow of my hand or the phone in the photo, or the pencil doesn't show up, or the colors look strange.
I still mess up a lot on the captchas and realize that I typed the wrong letter(s), but by that time there's a new captcha which I have to decode all over again lol. For some reason, the letters seem to have a shadow of themselves behind them, which used to confuse me a lot.
Thank you so much!! I actually wrote them out at 11:00 at night, (usually I'm asleep or very tired by that time, but for some reason that night was an exception and I was wide awake) then later (in the daytime) revised them to add more detail.
Sorry I didn't reply very quickly!! I've been busy with school and actually meant to post this yesterday, but I spent so long typing it that my computer time ran out :(

I love those ideas :) Definitely the wolves should have those abilities. For communication, the wolves should certainly be able to communicate with each other, but I think it might be good if they could speak with other types of animals also.
Ah, that would make sense; as I said, I've seen mandalas (though never actually drawn them), though I'd never heard of zentangles before I saw some on the Art Posting thread. Ooh that zentangle is beautiful!! I love the colors and the pattern :)) And yeah, for some reason lighting is extremely difficult.
Yes the shadows behind the captcha letters used to confuse me a lot too. And how it says "respecting upper/lower case" under the captcha, and at first I would sit there and puzzle over if a letter was upper or lower case XD I sympathize, it's so irritating when you've gotten a captcha wrong and you realize where you went wrong, but then it's another captcha and you have to figure it out instead.
Lol sometimes I get inspired for poetry or stories when I'm supposed to be asleep. Inspiration strikes in strange moments... Anyway, I've been enjoying the rest of your ski lodge too, and I'm so glad there's a non-death ski lodge :)

What other kind of animals should there be in the RP? For some reason I was thinking of rabbits, but then I realized that wolves might be predators to rabbits and that got kind of complicated...
Thank you!! :D I love your knotwork pattern (the photo caption said figure-of-eight I think), especially how there were multiple colors instead of a single color. And the way the lines crossed each other was so pretty! :D
Hmmm, "respecting upper/lower case"...I wonder what that means exactly...I've never entered any upper case letters into the captcha. I wonder if I could type something in ALL CAPS and it would still work. I think I'll try that right now, just to see what happens.
Aw, thank you for the second time in this post! I haven't worked on the Ski Lodge lately, because of a lack of free time, but I hope I can post the next part soon...Yay for non-death ski lodges! I'm a little bit nervous of regular ski lodges, now that I am now the first listed in the "Dead" section of Moon Wolf's Ski Lodge, but maybe I'll get over it.
And for the zentangle, here's another mandala (I draw mandalas a lot because they don't take a long time and are easy to draw depending on the pattern) that involves things like rainbows, stars, and clouds, because they all have to do with the sky. It came out a little blurry, probably because my hand was wobbling when I took the picture lol. And hopefully it appears in this reply.
Oh dear...I've been entering the captcha in all caps for the past few times and it doesn't appear to be working. I thought that "respecting upper/lower case" meant that you could enter the letters in either upper or lowercase and it would work, but maybe it means the opposite?

I love these aspects of worldbuilding. Rabbits might be good, because they'd live in the same places. Maybe these wolves don't eat rabbits? Hmm. Other than that, we could have eagles, maybe, as messengers who are allied to the packs; maybe years ago a wolf saved an eagle or a nest of eagle chicks, and in gratitude the eagles offered to maintain friendships with the wolves. Then we could have foxes, maybe - Arctic foxes for the Ice Wolves, and red foxes for the Forest Wolves. OoH I'm getting inspired--
Thank you! It's so much fun to do, too :) I'll attach another one here - hopefully the lighting will be better (the one on the last one turned out not too good despite all my efforts, unfortunately). I think it means the opposite with the captchas... *sigh* uppercase seems to be impossible for our poor little captchas. I've never seen any either, so who knows what it means.
Non-death ski lodges forever!! I joined a few ski lodges during my first few months on the CB, but I've decided I don't really like the idea - it seems unnatural and not really like something I want to participate in. Oh dear, you're on Moon Wolf's "Dead" list!!! Help, you're not alive anymore :(( (This is why I don't join ski lodges) I hope you'll get over it...

Oh dear, for the first time this thread has needed a top...I am becoming incredibly inactive and am probably on a half-hiatus at this point :/
Maybe there could be (not poisonous) mushrooms for the wolves/foxes/eagles to eat, so they aren't eating their fellow animals? I'm not sure if that's a good idea, but I can't imagine wolves eating vegetables lol. I like the eagle and fox ideas! Would the eagles be allied with all the wolves, or would there be Shadow Eagles for Shadow Wolves?
I love how you wrote "Cypress" and the flowers above it and the knotwork design. It's really pretty :)
I understand exactly what you mean. It does feel slightly unnatural, because you know that nobody's actually dead and one or two Ski Lodges I read had too much detail when it came to describing the deaths :( Thank you, I actually have gotten over it.
Here's another zentangle. This one's called a zendangle (because there are things dangling from it). I have some that I did more recently, but this one is my favorite. It's the least tidiest of the ones I sent, since I drew it when I was just learning how to draw zentangles.
I've been cleaning a lot to prepare for Thanksgiving...which is today. How is your Thanksgiving going? We got fresh cranberries from the grocery store, which is exciting because I've only ever seen dried ones.

Ah yes, that would solve the animal-eating-animal problem. Maybe they eat mushrooms/certain plants (like ferns)/leaves from trees?? It is hard to circumnavigate that. Lol I love the idea of a wolf eating broccoli or spinach XD But I don't think it would work too well in an RP... OoOh I love the idea of Shadow Eagles! Another idea - at birth, perhaps each wolf is linked to an eagle, and so the Shadow Eagles are the ones who were linked to the Shadow Wolves? "Linked" is probably a very vague term, but share their magic in some way or something like that so that they would always know where the other one was/be particular allies/whatever. Just an idea, I don't know how well it would really work out, but maybe we could incorporate it.

Each string of dangling things has its own style of objects, but they all go together so well :D I'll post some more knotwork designs when I can get good lighting again - the last ones somehow ended up with not-too-good lighting...
My Thanksgiving was wonderful, thanks! We actually didn't have our full Thanksgiving dinner until the day after, because we had some friends over early and we wouldn't have been able to enjoy a very large, fancy dinner, but we did have pumpkin pie :) Yay for fresh cranberries! (Though to be honest, I like dried ones too) I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving :)
