EEEEEEEE!!! I literally just got my magazine in the mail! I. GOT. PUBLISHED. Oh my goodness. And it was my post about cyphers! Wow! Thank you, Admins. That makes me feel really special.

You're welcome. We like to publish things in Letterbox that relate to themes in the rest of the issue. In your case it's "The Girl Who Codes," which begins on page 5.

Yeah, that's what I thought when I first read the title of the story, "Oh! The Admins chose my comment so that it tied into what one of the main stories's theme is!" xD

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! I got published! Could someone possibly tell me what it said? I've mysteriously stopped getting Cricket since January, and I haven't been able to read anything I've been published for, even though I've been on multiple congratulations threads since then. :,( I'll probably have to have my mom renew my subscription.

(As a side note, yes, I did notice that you misspelled congratulations.)

Here it is: "I have been reading dog books pretty much since I was old
enough to read. Dogs have a really good sense of smell and great hearing, but
their eyesight isn’t as good. So it isn’t nearly as hard for dogs to be blind
as it is for humans, because dogs can navigate with the senses of smell and
hearing."

Cool! I don't get Cricket, so could I also know what I got published for?

Here it is:

A wooden sign sits next to the road, swaying slightly in the
breeze. It reads: “Welcome to Fenford, Pennsylvania! Population: 37 Humans,
Multiple Cats, Dogs, Birds, and One Llama. And a Few Ghosts.” Something is
happening, though. .  .  . The ghosts aren’t coming out of
Malconten Manor as much anymore.

So, perhaps a mansion. I've been inspired, I think; I know there must be trees to climb and mazelike passages to hunt and be hunted in.

Old mansions are interesting because they can have lots of secret passeges in them, but since we're basing this off of the dead one, maybe something related to seasons... like a fall mansion. Hmm. Trains are good, but everyone does trains.

*gasp* How about a ryokan? That might be interesting.

*Googles it* Nice. Sounds good. Set in the mountains, maybe near a lake. Dawn shall fade in over drying blood... *rubs hands together, chuckling evilly* We can have the guests come in by train if you want, but the tracks can't be too close to the ryokan, or the guests might try to escape. And we can't have that.

How about summer? Maybe late summer, like August. The days are hot and long and you're getting sick of it, and so you jump at the opportunity to go to this mysterious ryokan in the faraway hills. We can write it in August, too.

Let's make it quick, update daily, either taking turns or working together, maybe posting drafts and letting the other person edit. We'll have to post the thing in advance to give people time to post sheets. So that would probably be in July. Will we be clear about the dual hosting, or should we try the illusion of being one person?

(April 3, 2018 - 2:26 pm)

Yeah, summer would work. Lakes and mountains, and sliding doors. Sliding doors are... convenient. *Cackles*

I think we should go with double hosting, but posting the parts might be tricky. Hmm, maybe one of us could come up with an outline and we'll take tuns from there. Like, I (or you) would make something like:

day one: death of ___

day two: death of ___

day three: death of ____

etc.

culprit: ___

And then you would write day one, I would write day two and we'd go from there.

Also, we'll need aliases. Any ideas for that?

So we'll discuss outlines here together, and then take turns filling them in. Sounds good!

Aliases... Summer and June? Summer and Skye? The Proprietors? Lacy and Lulu? (Insert name) 1 and (insert name) 2? Riley and Rory? Miss and Ms.? Wait, are you a girl?

Would we be upset about the murders, or pleased at having successfully lured a bunch of people into our death trap?

submitted by '...'
(April 3, 2018 - 9:57 pm)

First: Yes, I am a girl.

Second: If we knew it was a death trap, then one of us would have to be the murderer, because we wouldn't be planning on one of the guests to kill everybody. So, either we'd be upset about the murders, non-acknowledging of the murders, or we kill the guests. So I'm not sure...

Third: The Proprietors is a good one... Ooooh, maybe you could be Biora & I could be Sukāretto. Google translate those from Japanese. That might be good... *grins*
