You are on CB, minding your own business, until you spotted this Ski Lodge. Not unusual in the least. You click on it, of course, and begin to read it, the question lingering in your mind: Should I join?
Suddenly, you receive an email. How odd, you think. An email? So you go into your email and click into it, and spot a typed up message sent to you under the names Secret, Rune, and Enigma. Cautiously, you read it, scrolling down slowly and taking in each word, hopefully. It reads:
You have received an invitation to Mystery Inn, the most prestigious and arguably the most sophisticated place to stay. Everything here is new, just for you! We will take around 15 guests maximum. AEs and CAPTCHAs are allowed. Each set of guests receive a certain code as well, in order for you to be eligible to enter. You must translate the following to enter the inn: - - - - -. Hopefully, you have a - Message Interpreter with you. For those of you unlucky ones who don’t have one, make your own interpretation of the message. And please fill out the form below if you are willing to attend this luxurious stay:

I think me and verde's clue means that 6 is the 1st number.
we should figure it out and then go to secret.(unless verde wants to do something different)

I don't understand why the first number is 6. The clue was on the second page of the book, but I might be missing something?

Day 3, Part 6
Before Lyric went over to Secret, she ran into Wildsong. “Have you found anything?” Lyric asked her.
“Not really,” she replied. “Did you?”
Lyric nodded enthusiastically. “I found a clue in the recreation room. On the bottom of the popcorn machine is an octagon with a 3 on it. What do you think that could mean?”
“Well, the octagon must mean 8 since it has 8 sides…” Wildsong started.
“And because there are only five numbers, that must mean that 8 is the third number!” Lyric finished. Together, the two rushed over to Secret, who was in the lounge room. “We found another clue,” she announced.
Secret stood up and smiled. “That’s great! What was it?”
“I saw an octagon with the number 3 on the bottom of the popcorn machine,” Lyric said.
“So that must mean the third number is 8,” Wildsong concluded.
“Correct,” Secret confirmed. They took out the strip of paper with the five dashes, which so far had only one number confirmed—a 5 written above the fourth dash. They took out a pen and wrote the 8 above the third dash. “Good job so far! There’s only…3 more numbers to go!”
They could either search in the dining room or garden or any other rooms that have not been searched yet, or go help some other guests.

Rune and Enigma were in their office once more. “Why does Secret bother?” Rune wondered aloud to Enigma. “We have no need to get involved or go save the world…”
“Secret just has too much compassion and care for the guests,” Enigma replied. “They suggested it, so that’s why they feel responsible.”
“A bit too responsible,” Rune said. “Though it is strange why Secret suggested it. I suppose writing it on paper is different from actually doing it.”
“That is true,” Enigma said. He turned towards the locked door of the Entity’s room. “I should check on the Entity.”
He unlocked the door, closing it behind him carefully, as he examined the blazing orb of light…or was it darkness? The Entity seemed…angrier than before. Or was it a step closer to its former glory…? Though Enigma ignored it. He could bring it up when it was necessary, but a hunch was not enough to cause suspicion and worry among the hosts and guests.
Enigma locked the door behind him as he left the room.

For me and Cocoa cat’s clue, I think it means either that 2 is the first number, or that 1 is the second number.

I think our clue means that 6 is the 1st number because the math riddle equation thingys answer was 6 and the poem in the book was talking about 1.
