Good luck!

Anastasia is tomorrow!!! I am really nervous. We just had dress rehearsal at the studio and I have quick changes that involve both costumes and hairpieces and they pull on my hair so that hair sticks out in weird places.

Good luck!!! I can't wait to hear all about it, and I'm sure you'll be wonderful! Also, good luck with the quick change. I hate those!

I find out between tomorrow and Monday about ABT!

@Teresa: How did Anastasia go?

Great! My pointe class's dance was a mess at rehearsals, but we pulled it together for the show. All my dances went well actually. I loved my duet with Dmitri (the soldier I fell in love with). Most of the choreography was made up of my favorite moves. My quick changes went smoothly, except when I was changing from slippers to pointe shoes because the padding was in an akward position. Otherwise the show was AMAZING. At the end, I got the sweetest smelling white and red roses from my dance teacher and four bouquets from my family and friends. My brother got me this big rose (and by big, I mean four feet!). It wasn't real, of course, but still...

How was ABT?

I'm so glad it went well!

I got into ABT North Carolina, which I'm really happy about, but I'm not sure if I'm going or not.

Congratulations! Even if you're not going, it is still a big accomplishment!

I emailed them and asked if I could switch to the California Intensive (The only one I could go to), and they said yes! I so excited that I'm going!

That sounds like an awesome show! I still don't know what our next show is, but I heard we might be trying to do something unusual like The Wizard of Oz. Let me know when you find out your part!

I have a small performance called Great Artists today. It's for the school that my studio is in. I, once again, have the craziest quick changes! The enitire show is pretty dance, quick change, repeat. There are three performances that are about 20-30 min. a piece. I'm doing a ballet dance, a contemporary dance, a tap dance and a hip hop dance. I don't normally do hip hop, so this has been interesting for me!

The pointe shoes I use are Bloch, but everyone else in my pointe class uses Grishko (I think I spelled it right) because that is the type of pointe shoe my teacher prefers.

I wore Grishkos for a long time, but I've witched to Russian Pointe Rubins, which I love. My teacher really likes Grishkos too, but of course we're alllowed to wear whatever fits out foot.

Today we start working on our Spring show, so I'll pribablly find out what I am in Aladdin!
