The first one was super fun! The second one was REALLY HARD!!!!!!!!! I was really happy because both my friend and I were in the higher group. We learned about 6 months worth of choreography in 2 weeks! The first week was tough, because we were cramming all of this choreography, and one of the teachers who taught us this Afro-jazz dance was kind of mean, but the second week was much better. In the show at the end we did most of Paquita, a jazz dance, and the Afro-jazz thing that I mentioned earlier. In Paquita, everyone in my group did a variation, either by themselves, or with one other person. The one that I did with one other girl had a bunch of brise voles, which I had never learned before. I worked on them really hard, and eventually got them down. Overall it was a really good experience!

I am so excited! I know I had said in a previous comment that my dance school does not put on a story ballet, but that just changed! Now all the ballet students (including pointe) will put on the production of Anastasia!
We don't have our parts yet, which is disappointing. We have to audition for main roles on September 6th. I want to be Anastasia, but if I'm not her, I at least want to have a different main role.

The first Saturday of September. I actually felt like I did a decent job at the audition. Some things I was weak on (pirouttes, grande battement en croix), because I haven't done them three days a week over the summer. My teacher said that everyone who auditions will probably get a 'special' part! I'm excited!
