Forest Role Play
In the middle of a huge sea of trees lies a tiny town.
The forest used to be called Silva Vivus Umbrare, which, when translated from the old language, means the Forest of Living Shadows, but the people just called it the Woods. Still, the forest lived up to its old name.
The trees moved during the night, uprooting themselves and gliding across the earth to a new spot. Sometimes the guards on duty at night would catch a glimps of an elk or deer gliding through the trees with a tall, graceful figure on its back. Occasionally, a larger creature slipped past the guards and stole away a cow or pig or goat.
But even with all of the dangers which surrounded them, the people of the town were proud to say that through the half-decade of the existance of the town, they have never lost a person to the woods or to any creature living in the woods.
Until now.
This year, during the Cilana festival, a time in the spring when the people cut down all the trees which have grown at or moved to the edge of the town, three young children disappeared.
Alana, an eight-year-old girl with frizzy red hair and a quick smile, Jakob, a serious five-year-old boy with sunburned skin from too many naps in the open, and Zena, a talkative seven-year-old girl with intense blue eyes. Their disappearence stopped the Cilana festival and threw the town into chaos.
The townspeaple knew that the three would never have gone off into the Woods by themselves, for the fear of the forest was too deep set in everyone, so the townspeople could only think that they had been kindnapped or stolen. Although the townspeaple were frightened and scared and the parents of the children were frantic, only a few people dared to go out into the woods.
You, along with a small group, have decided to venture into the forest to see if the children can still be found. Your bravery has given the town new hope, and the townspeaple have provided you with weapons, tools, and horses. You will leave on the new moon.

I'll post my character once this thread shows up, and I'll start the roleplay on Saturday, July 25.
Other notes: Don't be afraid to move the story forward! Feel free to introduce your favorite kinds of magical creatures, write memorable settings in the forest, and put the charries in danger!
If anyone decides to drop out, which I hope will not happen, consider putting up one last post to take care of your character, whether to have them return to the village or be trapped somewhere or die. (Wow, that was slightly depressing!)

Please post guys!!! I refuse to let this die! Here's @Lumi's list of ideas if you've run out:
-make something bad happen to our charries. again (XD)
-make something good happen our charries!
-make someone get injured/poisoned/sick/etc. (this goes under the first category)
-give our charries a clue to find Zena and Alana
-make a super emotional post that's entirely centered on your charrie's feelings
-just make a post about everyday life while adventuring in Silvus Vivus Umbrare!
-do some worldbuilding- what was it like in the village? Does your charrie miss it? Who were their friends? Their family?
THIS WILL NOT DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been reading this for a while. I'm not in the RP, but I love this story, and the Zacy ship... All this talk about them reminded me that I made their... Er... future daughter.
MWAHAHAHAHAAAA- I HAVE NO REGRETS!
(Also, I'm aware I put flowers in Nightfalls character Callumi's hair before, but I really like making the flowers and my knowledge of accessory designing is sparse.)

Okay a couple things
1. @The Artist: AAAAHHHHHH THATS AMAZING! I love it so much and the flowers *chefs kiss*
2. Macy will stay alive for the time being. That means I have to write her out of this terrible situation I put her in because I didn't think I would come back. yay

SO When you guys probably left off we had just learned that ZANDER lost his memory! Oh No! Now the only thing he remembers is the dead body we found previously. It is unclear how he came to this loss of memory. Word spreads that JEANIE has a plan how to bring back his memory. WE FIND THE CHILDREN. Or so we think...
BRADLEY and DEMI have a moment!!!!!!!!! Demley? or Bemi! I like Bemi. please if you do not like that feel free to choose something else!
JEANNIE's plan does not work. sadly. ZANDER still remembers nothing. maybe that will change soon?

ASH has snuck off and found ENOCH, a Fynchnox. A Fynchnox lives alone and hunts out people who are alone. ENOCH has ZENA. ASH discovers this but before he can try to do anything DEMI finds him. DEMI gets agressive which does not go over well. ENOCH shoots and arrow at ASH but DEMI shields him and falls unconcious with an arrow in her back. BRADLEY hears this and rushes to the scene. ENOCH throws a potion at him which knocks him unconcious.
Everyone else hears the commotion and gathers around the group. SEBASTIAN is very very mad at ENOCH. MACY tells JEANNIE to get everyone out and away. She does but ZANDER stays. MACY did not tell anyone that she is planning to sacrifice herself for ZENA. Group learns of this......

"Wait," Azi says. "I can't believe it."
"What?" I ask, pausing nervously.
"We just willingly left our friends there, basically to die. Is that really who we are?"
"Well, Macey a-asked me to get everyone to safety," Jeannie says, looking unsure.
"And leave her in danger?"
"Guys," Bradley jumps in. "Macey's going to trade her life for Zena's. I just know it."
Demi gasps, and my heart sinks. That sounds like just the kind of stupid, impulsive, and heroic thing Macey would do.
"Oh no..." Iyara says. "What can we do?"
Sebastian rounds on me. "Caston! What do you know about Fynchnoxes?"
I blanch. "Oh, um, well... they're elf/gnome like creatures who... I already told you that. Well, um they're very solitary creatures, and very territorial, so it's very likely that this is the only one we'll see. Which doesn't help us much," I add at Sebastian's glare. "I'm almost positive they have a weakness, but I can't remember..."
"Cold!" Azi suddenly says. "Their weakness is the cold!"
I nod, suddenly remembering. "That's right! That's why he had the fire. If we can lure him away from it-"
"We can save Macey and Zena!" Demi finishes. "Come on, we have to go back for them!"

"We can save Macy and Zena!" I finish Caston's sentence. "Come on, we have to go back for them!"
"But first," Caston says, "We need a gameplan."
"What if we just extinguish the fire." Ash points out. "Instead of going through luring him away and all that."
"Great idea," Caston said. "Anyone have a canteen of water or something at the camp?"
"I do!" Azi shouts, already running over to our campfire. He runs back and is holding his canteen. "It's half-empty though."
"Anyone who has water go grab it now!" Sebastion yelled.
"Please grab mine too!" I called after them. "It has my initials on it!" It was difficult for me to walk, let alone run.
"Demi, how about you wait with Alana and Jakob at the campsite while we deal with this," Iyara suggested.
"Sure," I sighed, I wanted to be in on the action, but I knew that wasn't the best option right now. Iyara helped me over to one of the logs and I sat down with Alana and Jakob.
"What happening?" Jakob asked quietly.
"The others are...going on a hike!" I lied.
"Why you not going?" he asked in his adorable five-year-old voice.
"I'm staying to play games with you!" I glance at Alana, who was sitting to my right, looking grim. "Hey, Alana, it's gonna be ok."
"You don't know that," she said, tearing up a little.
"Listen. It may not seem like it, but we're winning! We have a plan, and Enoch doesn't! We are going to win this fight, no matter what it takes."
Alana managed a small smile. "What should we do in the meantime?"
"Make a dirt-man!!!" Jakob exclaimed.
"What's that?" Alana asked.
"It's a snow-man, but with dirt!" I explained, catching on. I got down on my hands and knees and started building a "dirt-man" and Alana followed suit. Soon we were too focused on playing to notice anything going on nearby...
