Pretend for a minute that George Washington, "The Father of Our Country" was corrupt. That a mysterious person from the 3000s built a time machine and used it to carry complex weapons from the 31st century back to the 1700s for George Washington to use for his army so they could take over the world. That the same person then kidnapped you from you home in whichever time period you're from and dumped you, too, in the 1700's--and now you have to stop a world war or the past and future will never be the same again.
This is not historically accurate whatsoever, I guess, but then it wouldn't be fun!
Sooo...whatever time period you pick for your character, make sure you read your history so you don't make mistakes!
...And I guess that's it for description of this roleplay, feel free to ask questions or whatever. Only one character per time period of each country, but otherwise no limit on the number of people that can join. And no more than two charries per person.

Maybe the losing my profile turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I tweaked some things about Victoria and moved her time period a bit earlier, and I like her better now.
--------
Name: Lady Victoria Wyntour-Howard
Age: 15
Appearance: Dark brown hair with a slight wave. White skin. She has a light spray of freckles but she's usually forced to cover them up with makeup. Lips with a slight doll-like pucker that don't actually pucker but...eh, whatever. She has dark brown eyes with flecks of light brown. They get really round when she's excited or surprised about soemthing. Dainty conex nose.
Attire (this needed its own section for some reason): The style of the time period of course.
Brief but probably not completely accurate summary of that: drum-shaped dresses held up by hoop things called farthingales (such a funny name!). Having frills and ruffs such as at the end of sleeves and around necks is fashionable, but one of the few things Victoria doesn't like about fashions. She tries to get out of wearing them as much as possible. She'd rather wear a bunch of pearls...they're her favorite gem. Pearls in her hair, or her dress, or as jewelry....she thinks pearls go with anything on her. The other thing she doesn't like fashion-wise is wigs. She utterly refuses to wear a wig, which was also fashionable. She'd rather make her hair look beautiful then have fake hair.
She has a fan imported from some foreign country that she loves. (The fan, not the country.)
Personality: She enjoys her luxurious life and is a proper lady except for one thing: she is terrified of getting caught up in the politics of it, and or getting married. She hates the feuds, drama, danger, and betrayal that occurs a lot amongst nobility, especially those that are related but have ambitions or major differences. She dreads marriage. In her time, upper-class girls (and girls in general) get married off very young, usually to older men. For the sake of strengthening relations. She's seen what it can do to other people, and also simply doesn't want it for herself. It seems so cold and manipulative compared to the dramatic love-based marriages she sees in plays and reads about in books. She doesn't even want to think about marriage for herself actually. She likes her life as it is.
I wouldn't call her rebellious or even a very strong feminist. She just wants to left alone in her life, and by that I mean all the fears such as politics and marriage leaving her alone and letting her live her life. She's carefree. She's fine with being socially proper and polite. She's a good conversationalist. She enjoys being outside (under the shade of a French-imported parasol of course), more than her elders would like her to. She only likes being indoors if there's a specific activity to do. Her favorite things to do are reading and being with her best friend Catharine.
(This is getting long, oh well. I developed Victoria so much I could write a book on her! I do love Tudor era history.)
Oh! And she adores seeing plays too. I think that's her 2nd favorite. She doesn't get to do it as much as she would like, because although drama is popular during this time period, the majority of the playhouses are considered shameful or just improper to her elders. (I keep calling them that, but I don't really know what else...yes, her parents, but just basically whoever's in charge where she is???). She mostly only gets to see them when her aunt, a Duchess, is around. Her aunt's very fun-loving, and probably Victoria's favorite relative. Her mother's away a lot, and she's not that close with her father. She doesn't hate them or anything.
She went through a stage where she was trying to write novels and plays of her own, but did not prove to succeed at that.
Of course as a lady she is trained in other hobbies as well, such as crocheting, cards, chess, playing the virginal/harpischord (it's a type of harpischord or related to it....basically an early form of a piano. She's quite good actually...that's her 3rd favorite thing to do, after Catharine and books), and other instruments like viol (early form of violin) and lute although she is not so good at those.
Historical period and country: England. Around 1560's. English Renaissance/Tudor Reighn/Beginning of Elizabethaen Era.
Bit more history: Elizabeth has only been on the throne for 1 or 2 years. The country is still adjusting from the reign of "Bloody Mary," Elizabeth's sister, who died after a pretty insane rule, in which she switched England from the Protestant Church of England (originally created by Henry III, their father, because he wanted to divorce one of his wives but he couldn't with the Catholic church so he made his own Church and had everyone convert to it) to Catholic, and persecuted/executed a lot of people, many of whom did nothing wrong. Not a popular queen. Had some anger management issues. She also had some complicated marriage arrangements, although she never actually got married before she died.
Even more history: before Mary was Edward, Mary's brother but he was like 12 or something so he had a regent, and he died really quickly. Before him was the infamous and proven insane and medically ill in a bunch of ways was Henry III who went through 6 wives. So yah. That's just the rulers! Imagine how crazy the rest of the court can get. No wonder Victoria fears it all.
Backstory: Her mom was married to her birth father then she was born. Her father died when she was young, and her mother remarried to who is now currently her stepdad/Father. Her mom was away a lot during that period. She mostly grew up with Catharine, her best friend, who happened to move when she moved. She also has a close relationship with her aunt, and a lot of the tutors and people who cared for her. Victoria is nobility, in case you didn't get that already by her title "Lady."
She loves Catharine dearly, as a friend or sister, or so she thought. It was a little more than that. Maybe that's why marriage seems so repulsive to her....anywho, but Catharine didn't really think about that much--she was just happy to be with Catharine. Then Catharine got suddenly married off, due to a dispute with her family and a sudden need to strengthen relationships. This happened fairly recently. Catharine hasn't officially left yet. Victoria knows that once she does, she would rarely ever see her friend again.
Catharine and Victoria called each other Cath and Tori as nicknames...only Catharine/Cath has ever called Victoria Tori. So nicknames are a sensitive spot for her. Also, I feel like it would be cool of Victoria saw someone who looked like Cath and freaked out. Possibly shipping??? Idk.
I got so into this I started making a sheet for Cath. She has siblings that are way older than her and she doesn't see them a lot because they're married somewhere. She has blond hair that she likes to curl and/or braid parts of. She has blue eyes. She also has a laugh that Victoria can't help but smile at even if she's in a bad mood. She has a decent singing voice. She loves flowers and flowery things. Especially tulips, which also happens to be Victoria's favorite. I wish I could say more but alas I haveth no time for a sheet and also I can't make two. There'd be no point since Cath isn't time-travelling.
Other: Ship-able! She's not a crush-at-first-sight kind of gal, especially since I think she'd need to get over suddenly being swept away from everyone (and Cath, but she was already leaving :/). Still, she's open.

Great! We can start now; I can't post a roleplay piece at the moment but if I've caught up on all the other CB stuff and still have some time I will post.
(July 5, 2017 - 9:55 am)
I'll roleplay tomorrow, because it's a Friday so I'll have more computer time.
(July 6, 2017 - 1:51 pm)
(July 7, 2017 - 9:30 am)
Ughh, I don't know how to start this! Writing it in 3rd person, it feels like I'm starting a whole story (which I guess I am).
(July 7, 2017 - 2:02 pm)
I'll start writing because I have some free time right now. If this doesn't work with the story, you can pretend it doesn't exist.
~Kasim
When Kasim opened his eyes, he was in a big room with lots of other people. They were very diverse, unlike his home, where everyone had exactly the same skin color. These people were also wearing all sorts of different types of clothing. That's weird, he thought, Where am I?
He started talking, seeing if the others in the room were awake, but they all looked at him blankly. He realized that he should talk in English. That was a language he only used at school, but maybe it was the language of these people.
"Hello? Are you awake? Where are we?" he said.
"Umm, what do you remember about your home?" said a girl with long blonde hair, "I'm from California."
"California?" said someone else, "Where's that?"
"America," replied the first girl.
"America? I've never heard of America," commented one kid.
"Oh no. WHEN are you from?" asked Kasim.
"2017."
"1420."
"2999."
"1944."
"1899."
"Okay, I think we got the idea. We aren't all from the same time and place, so something weird must have happened," interrupted the girl from 2017, "What happened just before you got here?"

Pre-post rambling that has nothing to do with the actual post: Guys I just watched Spiderman Homecoming and WOW it was so good 10/10 would reccomend. I loved it.
Genevieve:
"Good night, Hazel." I kissed my little sister on the forehead and tucked the blankets up to her chin. "Have you seen Ricky?" I add.
"I think he's already in his room," she mumbles, already half-asleep. I head to Ricky's bedroom to tuck him in before going to bed. When I get there, he's nowhere to be seen.
"Ricky?" I call. "Where are you?" A small sniff clues me i on the fact that he's hiding behind his bed. "What are you doing, you silly goose?" I stop in my tracks when I see him. He's holding a crumpled-up piece of paper and tears are on his face. "Ricky, what's wrong?"
"I-i miss dad," He sniffs. "I was reading the last letter he sent to us, before- well, you know." I wrap him in a big hug.
"I know, it's hard. It's hard for all of us. But remember, he's just missing. He's likely still out there, waiting to be found so he can come home. Now lets get you into bed-" I'm cut off by the shrill noise of sirens sounding through the neighborhood. "Blackout," I mumble. "Ricky, there's a blackout! Get Hazel up and go to the cellar. I'll close the curtains and turn off the lights. Go!" Still clutching his letter, Ricky tumbles off his bed and runs across the hall to Hazel's bedroom. I quickly draw the thick, heavy curtains across our windows and put out all the lamps. oN the way to the cellar, I grab a flashlight from the drawer and run into Mom's bedroom. She's already out of bed, grabbing a blanket. "Go, Mom," I say. "I'll get it." She nods and runs down the hall to the basement. As I'm heading out of the room, I hear footsteps approaching. A small blonde head bobs by. "Ricky? What are you doing?"
"Dad!" He shouts, running to the living room.
"I'll get it," I promise. "Just go."
"But-"
"Go." I grab the small shoebox sitting next to the armchair- a box filled with all the letters dad sent us before he went missing, and seveal pictures as well. Running down the hallway, I grab Ricky's hand and start to climb the stairs to the basment. Ricky makes it down first. I'm almost there when suddenly a hand grabs me out of nowhere, knocking the shoebox out of my hand. The hand pulls on me, and the basment disappears. I hear someone shout my name, then everything goes black.
~~~
I wake up in a room surrounded by other kids around my age. Still clutched in one hand is a small photograph of Dad I was able to grab before I blacked out. I quickly shove it in my pocket and stand up.
"Where am I?" I ask. "And who are you guys?"
I just posted my first post, but I also looked back through the thread and saw Leafpool's comment about writing it in 3rd person. I'm sorry, Leafpool, I didn't see that comment until now. I'll write my next posts in 3rd person. :)
