Pirate RP!!!

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Pirate RP!!!

Pirate RP!!!
I just had a WONDERFUL idea!  I have seen TONS of different roleplays on the ChatterBox, and not ONE has had anything to do with pirates!
So now, I will make a PIRATE ROLEPLAY!!!
There will be two sides on this conflict betwixt the British colonists and the Pirates, you will be able to choose which side you are on, ultimately; because not all Pirates are friends.

This roleplay will be based in the Virgin Islands, here's a map:

Character Sheet:

Name:

Age: (Prefferibly older, like in the twenty's. {If you are a British captian or Admiral, prefferably in the forty's through sixty's})

Rough Size and Appearance: (Rough Size being height and body poportions.)

Preffered Weapon: (Such as musket, pistol, dagger, knife, sword. {Specify what kind of sword.})<- Hand-and-a-half, rapier, cutlass

Position: Such as: sailor, buccaneer, mate, captain, admiral, soldier.

Faction: What governor you serve, (If you are British.) and what captian you serve, or, if you are a British captain, what Admiral you serve.  Example: Pirate, under the captian Edward Teach.

Deadline for joining: July 16th

Arrgh!  Let's get it started, mateys!!!

Sure! But only you and the first mate (can we use Harmen?) can know she's actually a girl.

Hrm. I want to join, but I'm about to make an amazing RP better than this (JK, slightly) but I'm not really into pirates, 'specially not after reading Treasure Island and not understanding a word. I might join later though!

Oh, my whiskers I know! I could barely get past Chapter 8 and that was for an English project!

You are soooooo nice to your friend!

"Glares maveolently at Cho."

I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE!!!  Which; by the way, is VERY true.

I don't think of books like Treasure Island (I didn't really care for it either.) when I think of pirates, I think of THOSE AWESOME MOVIES, (I'm pretty shure they are making another.)  XD

And also, we'll see about this RP of yours...

I'm pretty "shure" this RP is going to be better than Cho's. I just read it and I found a lot.... meaning, a lot of typos, spelling errors, missing punctuation, and nonexistent words ("applyable?" Really?). Not saying yours doesn't either, though. When can we start? I think we have enough people.

(It's funny, I can just hear you saying that!) My RP is based off of Settlers of Catan and Dominon. What could go wrong!? Also, I don't watch pirate movies. I watch Star Wars.

XD

Yes, I know there are pirates in SW, but they are different.

HA!!!!    If we're going to play the grammar game, then Cho: you don't say based of off, you say based on something.       Wink

And thank you; Scylla for teaching me about "shure" and "sure"    (Though I think it sounded a bit rude.)

I meant nothing by that gesture, I just thought it was kind of cute :). Sorry. And yes, you can say "based off of...," which actually works better than the suggested alternative in most situations. My apologies; I am the self-appointed ruler of the Grammar Game.

Maybe based 'off of' is for multiple things and based 'on' is singular.

I don't know, though.  I've never taken a grammar class.   "Shrugs"   Let's just say what you said was "Cheeky".    Laughing

But then again, my mom always says that you say based 'on' and not 'off of' but maybe that's the way she grew up with it and it has changed now.

Orucio says uufz!  What, Orucio?  Are you so drunk now, your running into stuff?  Serves you right!

Well, if "off of" is plural, then I am in the right.

That's awesome! I really respect that. I would never be worthy of such a title... unless it was mocking?
