I was thinking,

Chatterbox: Inkwell

I was thinking,

I was thinking, we could start a new story chain. You make up a new character, but they CAN'T be from the 21st century (they'll wind up there later). They have to be related to someone famous but NOT an actor, actress, singer, etc.

Mine is: Dehlia Ludington.

Related to a heroine of the American Revolution: Sybil Ludington.

Lives in Fredericksburg NY, 1777

Suddenly transported to the 21st century.

Age: Unkown

Short length blonde hair, blue-gray eyes, exactly 5 feet, rather pale.

Personality: Quiet most of the time, yet speaks out passionately when its something she cares about, strong, dependable, loving.

Hope ya'll like my idea!

Ooh! I love it! Okay, I might take that and run with it!

Dehlia ~

I had been scanning the books, fighting the urge to pull one out, sit down, and just start reading through them all. I couldn't believe they were hundreds, thousands of years old. Who knew what stories they could tell? Suddenly, I heard Dora shriek. I pulled my gun out of its holster, cocked it, and started rapidly making my way down the aisle, listening, my eyes taking in everything. I was hesitant to call to Dora, for fear I would attract others. Suddenly I heard a sound behind me. I spun around, gun raised. But there was nothing. I started running, entering the main atruim. Not a sound. I didn't see Errol or Felix, and I could no longer hear Dora. My senses were tingling, and I was starting to freak out. I tried to force myself to stay calm. This place was huge. The others could be anywhere.

"What the?!" I heard Felix shout, somewhere below. Then Errol's startled cry. My panic took over, and I ran. I had no idea where anyone was, or what was happening. I glanced behind me, sure I'd hear footfalls, nothing.

BAM! I crashed backward into a bookshelf, rubbing my head.

"FELIX!" I cried! He was panting like he, too, had just been running for dear life. His cheeks were scarlet, and his eyes were wild.

"What's going on?!" I whispered. He placed a finger to his lips, and leaned slightly back out of the aisle. He picked himself up to a crouch, and motioned for me to follow. We scurried along the back wall, keeping a sharp eye out. Finally, he stopped, knelt, and faced me.

"Did you hear Dora scream?" he asked, his voice low. I nodded.

"Well, I know why now. There are guards here. But they're illusive. They're stalking us, watching. I ran into one, but got away. I don't know where Dora and Errol are, but we need to find them. FAST." I nodded again, and glanced around. I'd been right then, about hearing something. Suddenly, another noise, just down an aisle three away from us. We stood up, and ducked into the shadows. We slunk down the hall to where we heard voices. I peeked around the corner. Dora stood with her back against a bookshelf, a guard standing in front of her, gun aimed.

"We need to act FAST!" I said to Felix. I glanced around. I coudn't use my tesla, since it made just enough noise to alert the guard. I was here before I could even aim. My eyes rested on a particularly large and heavy-looking book. I grabbed it, and looked at Felix, who understood my plan perfectly. He formed a foothold. I stepped in, and he boosted me up. Using the other shelves, I climbed up to the top, where I was positioned over the guard. I held the book high, and hurled it straight down as hard as I could. He never knew what hit him. Dora looked up at me with a grin.

So, we still need to find Errol. I told you I'd take this and run with it! ;) Also, I will credit Red with the "heavy book hurting when it falls on your head idea." Or so his opinion of Little Women. ;)

That's great! Where did Red say that?

~Dora~

I picked up my gun and pointed it at the man who was on the floor in a heap. A second was all it took.

"Thanks," I turned to Feliex and Deliha and gave them a big smile. But it was quickly wiped off my face.

"Where's Errol?" I demanded. "I heared his yell."

Deliha figeted with her dress. "We don't know yet," she said softly.

"He could be anywhere!" I exclaimed.

Feliex nodded. "Let's start," he said.

Wordlessly, we started up the corridor we were in, peeping into every room.

"Nothing," I said, in disappointment.

"Well, we can go to the next corridor," Deliha said, when I heard a rustling behind us.

I whirled around, and was just in time to see a black figure dart into the next room, which I knew, from peeking in, had no other door. I turned to the others.

"We're being followed," I whispered.

Deliha's eyes went wide, but Felix barely nodded, and gripped his gun protectively.

"Get him," he whispered back.

Deliha and I took a tight hold on  our guns, then we tiptoes into the room.

There was a guard, a gun pointed straight at us. He saw that he was outnumbered immediately, though, and made a mad dash for the door.

I heard a familiar cry from the room, and saw the stream of light coming from the gun that Felix held. In a second, the man had crumpled to the ground.

"The cry! " I exclaimed.

"Errol!" Deliha cried our, and we dashed into the room.

"There!" I said, pointing to the handle in the floor. "He's in there."

Oh, he's said it a couple of times! Once or twice on the NEW STORY THREAD, it was mentioned in that murder mystery thread in PP, and I think it might have been mentioned in the World Domination thread. It's actually really funny! Especially when he mentioned it in the NEW STORY THREAD on a total side story rant on what happened to the characters when we had a brake at a crucial moment. If you want, you can read it on page twelve. It's really funny!

Dehlia ~

We bent down and pulled at the handle. Naturally, it wouldn't work at first. Together, we pulled, and finally, the door flung open. A must smell met our noses. Inside, an old wooden ladder in terrible state of disrepair led down to a cracked marble floor. Inside, small bookshelves lined the walls with some old scrolls that were cracked and yellowed with age. Errol stood at the base of the ladder.

"Overpowered by four guys," Errol said in disgust as he climbed out.

I sat back on my heels. "Who would have thought that so many people were following us, and us without the slightest clue. But now we need to get the time tears, FAST."

"But this time, we work in pairs," Errol. So we divided up as usual. Errol and Dora, Felix and I. I prayed we would find it soon.

Before I wirte, how many more places are we going to?

(September 28, 2013 - 3:08 pm)

Hmm, we've been to Russia, England, France, Egypt... Hmm. Maybe we should try to hit the main continents? And main countries? Like now maybe Ireland, or Scotland, New Zealand, Australia, Japan;)... These are just thoughts. But since we're in a WW III, we might need to do main countries. I'll let you decide!

I suppose that there should be only one or two more places. Maybe, Japan? We've hit Africa, Europe, and Asia, if we do. New York would be an interesting last place. Will we bring Max back? And Volt?

(September 29, 2013 - 6:25 pm)

I like that idea! So Japan, then New York. And yeah, we should bring back Max and Volt. Maybe they'll have found Elexhiia, and are waiting till we finished gathering the time tears?

All right. :) If L comes, or Tovah, they can have some say, though.

I have an idea about getting some excitement, though it may cause one of us to write a long thing. Maybe one of us could get shot with one of our shock guns by mistake?

~Dora~

Errol and I dodged yet another hiding guard, and shocked him instantly.

"That was close," I said, as we walked on. Errol didn't seem to hear.

"Where would one of those bottles be?" he was murmuring. "The Library is huge. We'll never find it!"

"Don't say that!" I cried out. "We'll find them, somehow."

"Hmmp," he said.

We turned a corner, then jumped back to the cover of the wall. Ahead of us, we saw a dozen guards, grouped together.

"We found it," I whispered.

Sounds good to me! But I agree, we need more excitement. The whole stunner thing sounds good! Also, we should think about what we'll do once we go to New York, since that sounds like it'll be our "big finale" type thing. We need a real climax. Something that brings everthing to a peak, and holds the reader in suspense, ya know? An epic battle between us, Max, and Volt for the time tears? Suggestions?

Dehlia ~

Felix and I walked quickly down the hall, senses alert. Suddenly we turned a corner, immediately scrambled backwards. A dozen armed guards stood directly down the isle.

"On three?" I whispered. Felix raised his gun in reply. We ran forward, stunning as we went. The first three guards were down before they ever even knew we were there. We came to the end of the aisle, still firing, when I heard someone shout to our left. Felix and I turned in just in time to see Dora and Errol.

"Don't shoot!" I shouted, as both Errol and Felix shot in unison, but it was too late. I felt a shocking force hit me in the chest, hurling me backwards. Everything went black.

---

My head throbbed, and my chest felt like felt so heavy, I felt I could hardly breathe. I slowly blinked my eyes open. We were still in the library, on the main bridge we'd arrived on.

"Welcome back to the living," Felix said.

"What happened?" I asked feebly.

"Errol shot at the same time we ran out," Felix said. "He startled me, so I shot back instinctively."

"You and Dora took a pretty nasty blow," Errol added. That's when I noticed Dora leaning against the railing. She grinned weakly at me. I tried to push myself up, though my arms shook with the effort.

"Did we get the tears?" I asked. Errol held them up for display.

"Good," I said. After several deep breaths, I added, "But we need to get going."

"Are you two up for that?" Felix asked. I looked at Dora, who grinned. We both pushed ourselves up to our feet, though we both were still slightly wobbly.

"Yes," I answered. "We don't have much time."

*********************************************************************

So there was the stunning scene. You're more than welcome to tweak it! I was just getting something out there.

That was awsome!

Maybe Elexhiia can meet us in New York, or be with us at least, and we can get the tears, and have Max and Volt and their gang ready to fight. Maybe Elexhiia is the only one to survive the battle, and comes to our times by her own means, and tells us about the battle and the future time traveling. Long idea, but what do you think.

Wow, this has been going on for almost a year!

~Dora~

"No!" I shouted, as Errol cocked his gun at Feliex and Deliha, though I think he didn't know who they were. I reached over to knock the gun away from him, just as he shot. Another shot sounded, this time from Felix.

His shot came hurling at me, with no time for me to escape it. I heard Deliha's cry out, and just saw Felixs started face, then everything went black.

When I awoke, I felt a sharp pang in my head, and my eyes closed heavily. I groaned from the pain, then I suddenly remembered what had happened. I opened my eyes, and struggled to lift my head.

"You're alive!" Fliex's murmer made me look up, weakly. "Welcome back," he said.

"W-what happened?" I asked, softly.

"Fliex and Deliha were in the middle of the group of guards," Errol  explained. "I thought that Felix was a guard who had Deliha, and shot at him. You knocked the gun away rom me, except you pointed it at Deliha instead. Felix shot back instinctivly, but the didn't aim. You and Deliha both got a tough hit."

I looked over at Deliha's limp form stratched out onto the bridge. "She's alright?" I asked, wildly.

Felix nodded. "You made it through, so I don't see why she wouldn't," he said.

Just then, Deliha started to move. I tried to stand up, but teetered towards the edge, and graped the railing. I stared to the water until my head cleared, then looked over at Deliha, and smiled at her weakly.

"Did we get the tears?" she asked, and Errol held them up as a reply.

"Good," she said, then added a few moments later, "But we need to get going."

"Are you two up for that?" Felix asked. I looked at Deliha, and grinned. I managed to stand without the rail, though I was a bit wobbly.

"Yes," Deliha answered. "We don't have much time."

In unison, we said "I wish to go to Elexhiia!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~
When we arrived, I felt a little weaker. My skin was even paler than usual. Elexhiiaa looked at the boys sharply. "What happened to them?" she asked.
While Felix explained to Elexhiia, she busied herself with teneding to Deliha and I.
"You had a close call," she said, her brow furrowed, when Felix had told her it all. "I didn't know it would be so dangorous for you. You don't need to finish, there are only two more places. We- I mean I can get the rest."
We? Who was this we that kept on appearing? But I didn't pay attention to it just then.
I glanced at Deliha, Errol, and Felix. We nodded an agreement.
I turned back to Elexhiia. "Where do we go next?" I asked.
I've been thinking about Elexhiia. Since she's like with some secret world preservation group, maybe she has "special properties." Like advanced technology. For instance, she can come to NYC with us by testing out some advanced piece of technology which allows her to teleport. She's only using it then cause it's new, and they didn't want to risk it in outside hands. And I like the idea of her being the only one to survival the battle. Again, since she with what I'll call the "Secret Service" (we'll think up a real name for them), she's given limited access to time tears, and can travel to our times?
Also, since we were considering a sequel, where we can all time travel at will, maybe she can give us each a hint as to that we still can? We also need to decide by what means we can still time travel.
One more thing, before I can write the next piece, where in Japan should the tears be hidden? Like I said, I'm not very educated on Japan *horribly sheepish look* So I'm consulting you as my expert (since you know more than I do ;). Thoughts?
Maybe Errol, Feliex, Deliha, and Dora have a magical item that let them travel after this adventure? That way they can be sure that the time tears are destroyed.
SC seems to be gone, or whenever I see her and mention this, she either ignores it or doesn't see it. (I've only tried once, but she disappeared soon after I posted.)  So, what will happen to Max? Will he "die"? Or will he go back by ways he has no ideas of, or be trapped in the past forever?
Maybe Hiroshima, in Japan? That was where an atomic bomb hit in WWII. Or on top of Mout Fuji. That would be interesting. :)
(October 3, 2013 - 5:12 pm)
That's what I was thinking. A book brought Dehlia here, a chalk drawing brought Felix,  a watch brought Errol, and Dora fainted. But I was thinking that those things could somehow be infused with time tears. Like the book, the chalk, the watch, and maybe something near where Dora fainted was infused with the tears? So now the contain special properties? That way they aren't technically tears, but have the same properties of such.
Mount Fuji sounds and looks good! It'd certainly be interesting, don't you think? Searching for the time tears on a mountain.
As to Max, I was thinking they come to a draw, like Max is still "bad" but has potentiel. And maybe we think Volt is gone, but isn't really. And of course, he really is bad. And then maybe, they both still have time tears infused objects as well. Thoughts?
submitted by Blonde Heroines Rule, age classified, The Future
(October 3, 2013 - 8:46 pm)
Yes, I think that Volt, of course should have them, and Max should go back to his time somehow. SC said that the monster brought him back there. Maybe a quill pen or something would be his object?
Chalk, a watch, a book, and... we can make something up for Dora. Maybe a piece of jewwelry? A knife might be too dangerous...
submitted by True
(October 4, 2013 - 5:41 pm)
Oh yeah, I forgot the monster brought Max. Hmm. Yeah, something like a quill. Perhaps something coming from the place which the monster was created? We'll have to think on that.
Yeah, that would work! Just something small that would be common in that era. Maybe a brooch, ring, watch. Or something perhaps pertaining to the battle, like a musket ball. Or something like a handkerchief. Anything really would work, so long as it existed and was fairly common during the civil war. I'll let you decide whatever you like! I will write the next piece soon!
