Hi! Andd you can already tell this is gonna be one... long... post :P
So it's my CBversary!!!!!! Which means I've been on here for one whole year now!!!! Which is so sorta crazy for me to think about... but anyways. I'm actually not sure if this post goes on DtE or somewhere else, but I'm just gonna do DtE. :D
It goes without saying (so I'm gonna say it >:D) that I love all you lizards, so much. Thank you so much for making me laugh every day with your ingenuity and creativity (okay, and chaotic nature ;) ), for making me look at the world with wonder and awe with your brilliance and awesomeness, for lifting me up whenever I feel down -- all of you are so supportive and kind and loving and caring and please never change <3 and please remember that no matter what, you are valid, and we love you SOOOOO much *your favorite treat and virtual hugs if wanted and sending all the love your way love y'all (/p)*
The CB is such an amazing gem and thank you so much to the admins and webmaster and everyone else involved (and Cricket magazine) for making it happen!!!! Seriously, you all are amazing!
I'm gonna say thank you again (to CBers and admins) for putting up with my lonnnnnggggg, 90% tangential posts, and my twice as long rants about my squish, then my crush, then whenever I felt lonely and frustrated; thank you for being there and listening (and especially helping me through my first year at a new school where I knew nobody in my grade) and reading my -- I was going to say monstrosities but I suddenly feel bad about saying that after watching Nimona. Speaking of, you all should totally watch Nimona!!!! I admit I went into it thinking, pfft, it couldn't possibly be better than the book!, but it was maybe better than the book (though keep in mind I read the book a little less than a year ago), and if not, at least just as good!!!!
Anyways. Where was I? Oh yeah, rants. Wait, tangential rants!!!! I just went into a tangential rant!!!! I just proved my point by coincidence!!!! :DDDDD <--- idk why I'm so excited about this I just am.
anyways. Thank you for putting up with my over-fondness of words. And parentheses. And everything in general. Really, also thank you to all my teachers over the years who put up with that and told me to change and learn to write shorter essays. I'm (sorta) sorry to say that at this point, it's all just getting longer >:D
oh and thank you for humbling me because everyone around me is always like "you're the best at poetry and writing and stuff!!!" and I'm always winning all these awards and I started believing it and then I stumble across y'all masters of the written word and I'm like... woah. (in a good way though!!! It's like... idk how to say this without sounding cheesy, but such an honor to read everyone's work??? It's amazing)
This is already super long, so I'm just going to say thank you for introducing me to:
- the lgbtqiap+ community (idk how I missed all the Pride flags on top of like every single building and in every single store and on all the flagpoles in all the parks and more (like seriously, every single flagpole I looked at, there was a Pride flag!!!! It was awesome!! Except for yesterday I was at a gas station and they just had the American flag on the pole... but besides that!!!) these past years during Pride month (or how I missed that spoilers for PJO & HoO Nico was gay even though I read all the books a million times over... :/). Also Sofia by Clairo was literally playing at the department store I will keep saying that on here because that was awesome!!!)
- some of my favorite music artists: mxmtoon (my favorite artist ever I've never really had that before :0), Lyn Lapid (Peri), AJR, KC Katalbas (pangolin), The Lightning Thief Musical that counts >:D (Rainbow), Martina McBride (Poinsettia), Lisa McHugh (Amethyst), Jenny Nuo, I'll stop now but there are a ton more (and this isn't counting songs like Hidden in the Sand/Spring and a Storm (Lord Entropy) and Re: Your Brains and Ep 4. Important (Phoenix Tears?) and Sofia (Peri) and Rain in Soho/Sudden Oak Death (LE again) and Wonderland and Derniere Danse (indirectly by Poinsettia?) and Sonata no. 16 K545 1st movement in C Major (Sine) and Leonard Cohen (Peri/pangolin?) and pam pam pam/Cinnamon/Matches (all pangolin again <3) and theme of really cool bird and I really have to stop--)
- sea sheep and snakes in hats and Cupcake and Muffin (*squeals*) (all Darkvine), dino comics and blow-dried cows (both Hex), prob more stuff I'm not remembering rn
- some of my favorite books/authors: The Hawk's Way (Peregrine Falcon), HPMoR & UNSONG & The Etymologicon (concept and preview at least since I still haven't found it irl :/) & The Way of Kings (all Hex <3), Molly Knox Ostertag and ND Stevenson (got their autographs!!!), On A Sunbeam (my comfort read <3), prob more I'm forgetting right now
- some of my favorite TV shows: The Owl House (my favorite TV show) and Amphibia (just Anne is annoying hoping for a (larger) character arc; Hex)
- NaNoWriMo (and thank you again for keeping me regularly writing with contests and RPs and my ski lodge)
- being INFP-t, because reading all those paragraphs that describe me in every sentence was idk so validating?? (especially seeing "self-isolating" as a personality trait lol) like I already knew I felt those ways but I didn't know that was actually... a thing?? Idk.
- Jellycats!!! (Blackfooted Bobcat) Mer and Gian Furlough Acorn Harlowe and hua... :DDDD
- that awesome scrumble recipe Seadragon gave me a while ago

And while I'm here, I keep forgetting to say you give me a kinda wild jungle green kind of vibe, with pink flowers poking up here and there (for the most recent CBers as Colors thread :) ). You're really fun, and also uhh I accidentally clicked on the Silver Moon group thread yesterday 'cuz I thought it was another thread... to the point, you're also a really great artist, and I must confess I don't know you that well, but you seem really (that's the third time I've used "really" here, whoops? :) I mean it, though) cool and hoping to get to know you better in the time to come!!!
also I think you play soccer, which is super (yess! I didn't use "really"!) cool!! I'm so excited for soccer season (at my school) to start again...

Hawkstar!!!! Hello!!!! Thank you!!! And I know, I can't believe it either (and with your phrasing of already being a year and being here forever :D)! And our thread has been going for over 9 months now... o_O. Love you (/p) too, and thank you so so much for being a great friend these past months!! I think the CB is amazing also because irl I probably never would've really talked to you, with the age difference and all, so especially grateful for that! You're super sweet and I kinda feel like you look out for everyone, and you have such a calming presence too?? But yeah thank you and happy National Lauren Day too (I'm so glad I just checked wow o_O)!!!! Oh, and tysm for introducing me to Monsters and Men -- I LOVEE Little Talks, and for making me rethink my stance on BTS (even if I still don't really like it, I'm more aware of the songs, which I never took any time to listen to before, and I've learned to make my opinions after I like actually listen to songs, and not before; like srsly tysm for that that's invaluable)!! <33

...okay, wow. Was not expecting so many people, thank you all :D sorry I couldn't reply yesterday, my dad's friends and their (super chaotic o_O but it was awesome I thrive in chaos :D) kids came over for the day, so just fyi I'll have everything out after I get back from summer school today :)

Hello Celine! First off,I just want to say,thank you! Thanks for being part of this wonderful community. I haven't been on the CB alot recently, but its people like you and everyone else that make me want to stay. Also, HOW.How did you get BOTH Molly Ostertag's and ND Stevenson's :0!?!!!!! Two fun facts,did you know That Molly and ND are married? And also, ND Stevenson is the creator of She-Ra:Princesses of power! I have watched both The Owl House and Amphibia .The Owl House is still my favourite of all time! And don't worry, Anne grows and matures as a person throughout the show! On the subject of songs,I LOVE the lightning thief musical! The song Re:Your Brains, was actually a song I listened to a bunch when I was younger. I should probably post on the Jellycat thread,cuz I have one!
Needless to say, I'm glad you're here.

I'm sorry we're leaving for weeklong overnight camp tomorrow so I couldn't bake pies today 'cuz we wouldn't be able to finish it all in time for tomorrow plus my grandma for some reason brought almond tofu (she makes the best almond tofu though she doesn't use powder, she uses actual almonds I think, and it's SO GOOD every year I ask for that for my birthday instead of cake (ofc she insists on making cake too anyway, but), so anyways yeah not really complaining it's awesome) plus she brought muffins and we still have the green bean soup (btw not like green beans, but mung beans, but they're also called green beans?) she brought over a few days ago and I think I'm rambling bc when I started this post I was rushing and I just without thinking about it kept the tone consistent even though I'm not rushing anymore oops sooo... that's why this sounds sorta rushed. Anyways, I'll try to bake pies as soon as I can later... today was the last day of summer school for me, so :D prob will have time!
oh, but happy Tau day regardless!!! And thank you for introducing me to Tau because that's amazing, and ooh my mom's ordering nian gao (shang hai style) for dinner rn I'm so exciteddd... nian gao, shang hai style nian gao AND the other style nian gao are both SO GOOD!!
also oh no I just realized we still haven't eaten all the fruits my grandma brought over yesterday either...

...I'm really sorry (welp that's how I started the first accidental post but yeah) I accidentally posted a reply to someone else in the place of the reply to you... also I hope you don't mind that I used moth instead of Luna silvermoon; Luna silvermoon didn't fit and I wanted to get the "actually" in to avoid confusion (and if you do mind, then really sorry about that too). Anywayss, here's the actual reply I wrote out for you earlier:

And thank you (I just realized I've been pretty vague on all these thank you's, which is a big no-no according to my parents (I suddenly feel weird using "no-no" in a sentence, but y'know what it's sorta funny, and I'm weird anyway, so I'm gonna keep it :D) because when thanking people you should always be specific whoopsss, but whenever I say that vague "thank you" I mean thank you (so much wow o_O) for all the nice things you all say!!!)!!! Thank you for being a part of this wonderful community too; I really am so glad you're here too!!! You're really nice and also I started listening to Night Vale bc of you (and also Aza), so thank you for that too! Also I KNOW, IT WAS CRAZY (but crazy awesome :DD) but yeah Molly Knox Ostertag was promoting her new book The Deep Dark and ND Stevenson was at the same event for Nimona and EEK!!!!! And YES I did in fact know that and it's so cool!!! And yes, I knew about She-Ra too (really have to still watch that); did you know Molly Knox Ostertag worked on TOH too? My regret (although I don't dwell on it too much haha so not as much a "regret" as something I would've liked to do but didn't) was not asking Molly Knox Ostertag about working on TOH while we were talking. That's great about Anne! And YESS TLT Musical is so good!!!

Hiii!!!Wow gosh thank you for all the lovely words!!!!!!its alright about the posting mistake, didn't notice it until you said. Yes,I DID know that Ms Ostertag worked on TOH! So excited for you for going into the WTNV fandom! ALL HAIL THE GLOW CLOUD hehe. If your looking for anything by someone else who has worked on TOH, I recommend The Glass Scientists by S.H Cotugno.It's a web comic online and they've even released the first volume! S.H worked on the storyboard and animation of TOH. I highly recommend it. I saw a production of The Lightning Thief a couple months back with a friend,I got tickets because, guess what? My mom made the props for it!! Moth actually works better than Luna these days....might do something with that.....

I do still have to/want to read Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde though, so do you think I should wait to read that before reading the web comic (like if reading the book adds anything or if it's the same thing to just go in w/o reading the book? Or if the webcomic has spoilers for the book...)? Wait NO WAY you saw a production of TLT?!?? And your mom made the PROPS for it?!?????? :00000000000 first of all that is amazing. Happy (2 days late) CBversary Celine! You're so friendly and positive, and you bring so much energy and life to the CB! <3 Glad you're here :D
Also I don't know if this is off-topic or if i ever mentioned this before, but I really respected the decision you made to go out of your way to update the 2021 CBers as colors thread regularly for new CBers, or CBers who hadn't been mentioned on the thread yet. And this is really important because sometimes I believe we forget to mention or reply to the comments or threads of some CBers (and that leads to people feeling left out, and threads dying without any comments and that's just awful). So thank you thank you thank you for doing that! <3
(And to not to rob anyone of credit--I had written this before I found the CBers as colors thread, but now that I've managed to find it, I remembered that Moon Wolf and Avara had done a very similar thing. So, @Moon Wolf and Avara, thank you to you too! <3)

I stopped a while ago because I couldn't keep up with like who was coming or who I'd already done and stuff like that (plus I think that was around the time when there was Avara, AvaraStar, and another Avara, and Luna, Luna silvermoon, and Luna-Starr, and I got soo confused lol) though, and now whenever I think to myself, I should do that again, I'm like... I really don't remember who I might've missed from then to now, so I can't do it again. :// I still feel bad about that. But thanks regardless!! :D and Lyric!!! Thank you for introducing me to the adjective version of "lyric", first of all, and thank you for your genetic rants and I think bug rants too (I remember you posting some long post about how you were just sitting there staring at a fly and I don't think I responded because the things I do respond to on here are only a half of all the things I want to respond to but like half of those things never get a response :/) because I'm a bit bug-obsessed myself (also I think you said spiders aren't cute?? :0 you (and I think Amethyst too) are sorely mistaken on that, but I'll let it slide ;) ), but anyways yeahh. What was I saying? Oh!, also you are so so so thoughtful!!! I think there was some thread (I think it was the Let's Make a Story thread) where you commented on it and were like, hey, this thread isn't getting any comments, and btw it exists everyone, which is great (says the person who never commented...)! Gosh, you've been on the CB for a year??? Happy (slightly late) CBversary!! *eco-friendly confetti and cake/candy/treat of your choice* I honestly love your ramblings and tangents and long comments - if you once get me started I'm also very capable of going on forever, and you always have so much interesting/fascinating/hilarious stuff to say :) love you too (/p) I feel like you've brought a whole lot to the CB; you're so bright and full of energy and friendly and sweet and intelligent, and you're such an important part of this community.
Also, your writing really is so good! I haven't read that much of your fiction/stories, but from what I've read of your poems, you do have talent :> So basically, yayy happy CBversary, and tysm for being part of this community, and you're an amazing person <3 For q&a, have you ever had any pets (if you want to share)?

Amethyst!! And yes, I couldn't believe it either! I mean, technically June 22 is when I made my first post on Kyngdom, bc I joined for that originally, but... I think it counts? :) and tysm!!! That really means a lot to me!!! And your poetry and writing (prose) is amazing too; the Guardians solo write was always such a joy to read, and was a great way to rewind after a long day for me, so thank you for that! Besides that, you're just a super fun and caring person in general; your eggs were always so fun to find (for the egg hunt) and I always LOVE reading your locations, and I can't believe I forgot, thank you and Pointsettia for te regalo and Confessions of a Shopaholic (along with the aforementioned Martina McBride, Lisa McHugh, and did I forget to say Jo Dee Messina? :/)!!
