Just putting it out there that I know I still have to respond to a bunch of people (anastasia, Gloomy, Parody, Hawkstar x 2 (+2), Moon Wolf x 2, BB x 2, Thunder, more people) and I have not forgotten about you (unless you think I might have... in which place please do not hesitate to tell me!); I will start working on that after I finish Spindlefish and Stars (good excuse? Yup? Ok bye :D)

I finished! Except now I have to do laundry, eat dinner, put away the dishes, clean my room, and shower. Because this is what happens when you procrastinate on your chores. Also I have to write for three hours for Camp. So. False advertising. :/

Does anyone else feel like they just wanna go back to the year 2000 despite not having actually been born at that point in time?

Or actually maybe even the 1990s would be better... Idk. Sometime when there wasn't global warming and social media hadn't taken over the world and you could actually go on flights without forking over thousands of dollars and newspaper articles were well-written and you could actually enjoy the latest pop songs and there wasn't a global pandemic that had lasted for four years and David Beckham was still playing soccer and people were happy. To quote some song lyrics (because why not):
When the head of state didn't play guitar/not everybody drove a car/when music really mattered and when radio was king/when accountants didn't have control and the media couldn't buy your soul and computers were still scary and we didn't know everything... When record shops were still on top and vinyl was all that they stocked/and the superinfo highway was still drifting out in space/Kids were wearing hand-me-downs and playing games and kickarounds/and footballers still had long hair and dirt across their face... -"I Wish I was a Punk Rocker" by Sandi Thom. That song expresses exactly the nostalgia I'm feeling, nostalgia for a time I never even knew but which seems so much simpler and more beautiful than the messed-up society we have right now.

It's a poem! Which I'm pretty proud of bc I consider prose to be my stronger medium so I'm glad that my poetry is getting stronger :)
