I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Fun fact: Tokyo and Kyoto, while anagrams in English, are not quite so in Japanese as they are spelled "toukyou" and "kyouto." the "tou" in Tokyo is represented by the character 東, meaning "East," and the "to" in Kyoto is represented by the character 都, meaning "metropolis" or "capital. However, the "kyou" character is the same in both: 京, meaning "capital." So Kyoto/ Kyouto "京都" just means Capital, being Japan's former capital, and Tokyo/Toukyou, "東京," means East Capital, being Japan's current capital.
