I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

Yes, actually! I've owned a kalimba for about a year now, and it is really pretty, both in sound and appearance! Mine has 17 tines, how many does yours have? My favorite song to play on it is probably 'Pure Imagination' 'Blackbird' or 'Colors of the wind' :D If you want to have a extremely wide verity of songs, I definetely suggest searching Kalimba Melody online, her videos will pop right up! She has a bunch of my favorite songs, and the numbers to go with the songs. I learned all I know from her!

Thank you for the suggetsions! I will look it up as soon as possible. I looked into which kalimba I should get, and so because I am a piano player, my kalimba is a 34 tine chromatic, which makes it easier to play because this kalimba has sharps and flats, and I can play songs that I play on the piano on the kalimba, so yeah. I also like to play 'blackbird' on it, but I'm learning to play 'Swan Lake' as well. :) *inwardly screams* I love it so much!!!! >U< Do you reccommend the finger picks or just your fingers?

Oh wow that's a lot of tines! I've seen those before, they looked really cool. I'm not sure the Kalimba Melody would work all that well for you, since her kalimba is also 17 tines, but ofc you could still check it out.
I think that using the finger picks is a lot harder, and so I never used them. Just my thumbs! and you're supposed to use your finger nails, so make sure that your thumb nails aren't super short. It kinda does start to hurt your thumbs after awhile if your nails are short, but not all that much.
