I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

ok all what's everyone thinking of the Percy Jackson TV show?? I've been watching with my dad and it's really good, don't get me wrong, but I've noticed that it feels a bit sadder and more dramatic than the books did. But I still am really enjoying it! I'm so excited for next week's episode.

I've only read the first two books of the series but am feeling inspired to finish the series. I usually only read YA. I'm almost 14 - would the Rick Riordan fans on here say I'm too old to get into it? I like the Percy Jackson series and I'm really interested in Heroes of Olympus (which I believe follows) but I'm worried that I will be too old to enjoy it and have a good time in the fandom and as I'm reading the books. Also I'm admittedly still a little confused - how does this universe work? What order should I read the series in (ik PJO is first and then HoO?? And then… Trials of Apollo or…)? And importantly: are there cute ships?? I've heard about a few cute ships but idrk

Okay, first of all- you are NEVER EVER too old to read any book. EVER. Second- NO, 14 is NOT too old for Rick Rioridan stuff! I'm almost 15 and STILL love his stuff. I still read books were the ages suggested are 8-12 yr olds and thouroghly enjoy them. I also read YA books as well and love those too.

I haven't watched the tv show, but the books never struck me as particularly sad... but ofc, there are parts were you cry. Mm, maybe a touch dramatic? But not really.

PLEASE continue to feel inspired to finish the series- and beyond! And back to the too old stuff- No. I am pretty condfident that you will not feel too old. Some of the parts he writes is deep.

So you would read Percy Jackson first, then yes, HoO and finally Trials of Apollo. If you like all of those, I would then read Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard (did I spell that right??) and The Kane Chronicles, also by Rick Rioridan, only with Norse, and Eygption mytholigy. I don't think you sould read those last two in any particular order, but there are a few things in there that relate to PJ, HoO and ToA, so I would read those first.

And YES, 110%, there are MULTIPLE amazingly adorable ships, though they don't REALLY start getting super duper good until HoO, but there are a fair few in PJ.

I hope that was helpful, and I hope you do read those books and enjoy them! Let me know if you do read them, and if you do like them (or why you don't like them :P)!!

Nope, never too old! And heh.. the order you're "supposed" to go I recommend PJO --> HOO --> TOA --> MCGOA (takes place as TOA is happening) --> TKC (whenever, really). But I went HOO --> PJO --> TOA and so on, and that worked fine with me! And my best friend started with TOA and I'm like NO WHY DID YOU DO THAT SO MANY SPOILERS (actually she started with TSATS) but it's fine with her too! :)

and yess cute ships (coughcough I feel like Hazel & Frank are so underrated coughcough) :)

andd now I'm talking about ships, which I adamantly try not to bc it's stereotypical sorry all but it's just like :( when I do for some reason, which I know shouldn't stop me from doing things but I LIVE IN DEFIANCE (also yes @Darkvine I get that from the previous page and also for lots of other things you say) so ending-

(also if you watch the Born For This music video for HOO I totally recommend bc 1. Good song 2. Adorable fanart of Hazel and Frank and I don't think there are really any spoilers... but can't really remember rn...)

I'm also prob biased towards Frank cuz he's Asian and awkward so I feel defensive of him XD

GUYS IT'S SO COLD where I live there's a extreme cold warning, and with windchill, it's -40 degrees Fahrenheit. AHHH I think I'm going to stay on the couch with my three blankets all day.

well, try not to freeze!! *gives you an extra blanket and some hot cocoa or tea or some other warm drink* :D
