Random Thoughts/Things?

Random Thoughts/Things?

I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

I obsessed over the Riordanverse quite literally all day long in many different fashions. Oh then last night I sorta cried for about 45 minutes b/c gosh I want-no, need-to live at Camp Half Blood, while composing a letter to the only irl friend I have that I feel understands me best (except I don't have a way to contact her....)

Inkling says "pcypr" ....Percy????

Also sorry for somewhat vanishing into thin air on-and-off for the past month... I'm still alive, don't worry.

Art is slowly destroying us

Essentially I had the thought that art breaks down convention by seeking unconventionality. Art also reflects and influences social understanding, and in turn can break down or distort the constructs we live by. In some cases that makes way for implementing new and better structures, but if taken too far the process can distort our wisdom to oblivion and break down constructs to mere pieces such that we find no meaning in anything and no longer understand our purpose, function, needs, etc. End-game-worst-possible-case-scenario for this theory is that we become insane and receptive only to the spiraling-disintegrating-input-output buzz of our minds, rendering inherent meaning and logic useless to us. Everything literal could be metaphorical and everything metaphorical could be literal and everything and everything ever truthful might be lying to us, but only if that's how it's perceived. Nothing is as it is and yet nothing can be as it's not. We try to become a quantum maybe rather than definitive beings. Thus, our striving toward freewill inevitably becomes an evil sort of entropy that reduces us to nothing. Art bridges the gap from reality-to-semi-reality-to-unreality and serves also as an indicator light of this undoing. Albeit a very linear and negative observation, but a possibility nonetheless.

Just one of my happy little breakfast thoughts :.)

***DISCLAIMER: I did not intend to imply art in general is evil and bad and life is meaningless; in fact, I believe quite the opposite. <3***
