I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

Okay so we have a school dance coming up and this is gonna sound wimpy but I'm freaking out.
It's my first dance and I have something to wear (it's actually a really nice dress and I love it, it makes me so happy) and all but one of my close friends, who I just so happen to be kind of maybe sort of crushing on is going to be there but they're so cool and like idk how to talk to them even though we're really close and I like them a lot? I don't know why I guess they just are kinda intimidatingly cool?
And I have no idea how to dance? Like what do you do- what-

I'm definitely not super experienced, but I've been to a few school dances so hopefully these pointers will help: 1) Bring your own water! Just in case (I sure wish I did to my last dance- they ran out pretty early in), 2) Dancing is literally just jumping up and down to the beat. Like that's literally it. 3) Not everyone dances, and you definitely don't have to if you don't want to. 4) WEAR COMFY SHOES PLEASE, I regretted it for days after wearing my Doc Martens to Homecoming this year. 5) Have fun! I'm glad that you have friends to go with and you'll definitely have a blast once it starts up :D

ahhhhhh
ive gone to a total of two school dances-- mine were in our school cafeteria and played music so loud i felt it more than heard it. for me it mostly just gave me anxiety, which was sad because i really just wanted to enjoy myself, but my friend-- who is antisocial nerd who dislikes a lot of things that are similar/a part of school dances, had the time of her life. i was shocked lol

Not to spam this thread more but someone just broke into our car and now there's broken glass everywhere (it's been happening a lot in our neighborhood recently). On the plus side the face that the guy made when he realized that the backpack he took had zero valuables in it and was in fact filled with old candles and batteries must have been hilarious lol

my mom's car got broken into a few months ago-- she's a therapist and all her scheduling/notebooks/PERSONAL INFO were in a bag in her car. the person shattered the glass, trashed the car and took the giant bag-- which had a laptop in it too, plus money and stuff-- but this bag had like so many different pockets that the thief couldn't find anything or value, so as far as we can tell, they yeeted it out their own car a few minutes away where the cops found it.

one time around Halloween, we had a couple white pumpkins on our front porch. on the day before Halloween, one of the pumpkins was gone along with our neighbor's baby stroller... weird thing to steal
this is the reason we have a motion-sensor doorbell XD

I don't know how this is possible but I think I accidentally semi-stole some of their personality too
which is just an oddity because I didn't know them while they were active, and am only fully realizing all of this years later
