Random Thoughts/Things?

Random Thoughts/Things?

I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

... yeah, you're right. Although I didn't exactly mean that as something I believe, just a random philosophical rambling.

It's a bit ridiculous to not take a few leaps of faith, actually - otherwise everybody would just be distrustful paranoiacs, and the world would just kinda stop working. It's still interesting to think about, though.

Y'all I need help. What are some good, interesting villain goals?

Maybe it seems like they want power just because they want, you know, to be powerful, but in reality, it's because they feel like their life has fallen apart and they want to be able to control something? I don't know how original that is, but it's just an idea.

They are the villain in name only, and would be the hero if the story was told from their POV?

Or they want to impress a certain someone.

Or they are trying to protect their family/friends/whatever

do u ever have those moments when you just go “this is such a pretty song i wish i could dance ballet to it” bc that just happened to me and i took ballet for like a month when i was four but that’s it so i can’t and it’s very sad :(

That happened to me yesterday. There were a couple differences. The first is that I took ballet for two months and the other is I was 6 instead of 4. After hearing the song and wanting to dance but being unable to bc I know almost no ballet, I almost cried.

Starting from the same age as you, I took professional ballet for about a decade (not anymore though) and I still have those moments; usually 'cause I'm in public or really tired. :')

Hey hello so if you want to cry, may I suggest listening to BoF 'Cerl and Alan Forever'? Even if you don't, you should fo listen. It's really pretty and has this strange nostalgic feel to it.

[Replying to your discussion on the previous page:]

You know, thinking about questions like these is always sort of interesting. As for whether something can exist without being perceived, I think it's very much possible.

For instance, imagine in an alternate timeline people never had eyes. Then bring one of our light bulbs, the kind that doesn't give off heat and makes no noise, and stick it above the head of the person; too high to reach. They can't feel the light or bulb, nor can they hear smell or taste it, and since they don't have eyes they obviously can't see it. Heck, they don't even comprehend what a lightbulb is or know that it's there. They don't perceive it or know of its existence at all, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. With just a slightly different perspective, suddenly it becomes very real and the pinnacle of one's perception (in this case the perspective is having functioning eyes, which can detect --and in fact rely upon-- light.)

Now imagine us in the place of the sight-less people. Maybe we're the ones missing an extra sense, while a higher-level-of-being looks down on us, laughing. Who knows? Does it even matter? (Genuinely curious about that last one.)

Furthermore, in support of Peri's argument, we are constantly taking 'leaps of faith,' realise it or not. Think about it: Every time you take a step you assume that the floor/ground is there, and that it will work how solid surfaces have always worked, that your memories of solids are in fact real, and so forth; every time you wake up and start getting ready you assume the world isn't about to end; every time you make a statement or ask a question you assume there is a truth out there, that the facts you know are true, and that others are beings with minds that function very similarly to your own and likewise may be able to glean and share the truth with you.

Life is chock-full of assumptions --with that not always being a negative-- that we take for granted.

I have decided something and no one can protest. CB has no special day. So I have decided to add one. Not on the day of the month of this year it was created. I will give CB a special holiday sort of thing for fun. The date shall be..............................................Decemeber 9th! That will be CB's holiday! What do you think of this idea Admin?

It sounds good to me!

Suggestion: We wear a piece of tape on our sleeve with "@username on the CB!", or a cutout of the cricket logo, or something, on December 9th. For example: "@Wolfy on the CB". Whadaya think?

I don't quite get your idea, so could you explain it a little more? Also, we could all make CB shirts as well and wear them the whole day!
