Chatterbox: Down to Earth

This thread is

This thread is to commemerate all the people on the Chatterbox who have DISAPPEARED into thin air. Well, maybe not disappear, but just haven't posted in ages. And for those who have actually left, does anyone else have any means to still connect with them, like with Nano and stuff?

Here is a very rough list of the people who I've been missing lately:

Maggie

Blackberry E.

Nightingale

the doctor/Sir Doctor of Tardis

Joe the Stickfiddler and Daffodil

Red/Ruby

Fire Eyes Phoenix (where did she go; she was here for like a month and then went poof)

Nina

Ellie

TNO (always shimmers in and out of the CB like a wraith)

CaptainRead

And of course Lottie and Mag Fan threw in the towel for good. :(

I know with the start of school there isn't much time for the CB, but why did everyone seem to go at once? Lonely Everinne here; I miss the old gang. Not that the new gang isn't awesome, but I have a grown-up feeling of nostalgia right now.

Thanks, Madeline. :) I'm glad that you liked it, and you almost made me cry with this post. ;) I was really touched by how much you liked it. I wrote it remembering some of my best memories, and this was one piece of writing I was satisfied with the second I wrote it. It usually takes a while. Thank you.

I miss the old people. I suppose I'm still pretty new (been on here for about a year) but I miss all the people who used to be here when I was still frequent . . .

No, Corina, you count as part of the old crowd. S.E. too. The newbies are people like Danielle and Maple Syrup, I guess.

You forgot me! I am a newbie.

I'd like to make a speech. *ahem*

Well, as a newbie, I would like to agree with what True said. (the long post) We are the next generation, if you will, of CBers. You older CBers, although less in number, are , to me, wise. You know whats what and whos who, and have been here for years. You remember all the old moments, jokes, and all that. You are role models for the youngest among us (the newbies)  and new friends of the older newbies, of which there are few. We look up to you somewhat. This is a whole new world to us like facebook is to Joe. I am not arguing your points, as I find them plausable and I understand the feeling. It is like seeing the people severel grades younger then you getting older, but they seem the same kindergarteners you used to see. It is like that in a way.

We are generally jumpy with the idea of the chatterbox. We are a lively crew, and some of us,  hackcoughWinterFireflycoughhack have had too much Mountain Dew. We are different from you, yes, but think of your ten year old self. Compare us to it. Are we different? Naturally. But as for S.E. and Cori, the young oldies, they are with you. We are striving to be like you, (smooth, collected, and awesome) but I sure cannot control my thoughts. They are slippery little fellas. Have you ever looked up to the grade above you in school? This is what it's like for me. I am new, but I look up to you young oldies even though I am older than some of you. It is crazy.

I hope you enjoyed this speech.

Winter, don't freeze your Mountain Dew!

I. Loved. That. So! Much! Sorry if I seam a bit... CrAzY that's just me- and Blaster, but I can be quite cool and calm. Kinda. Ask Cori. Heh. On the other hand... don't ask Cori... you would be horrified by my CrAzYness.

I haven't seen Sir Doctor in forever! With him and Joe Stickfiddler, we had some pretty awesome DW rps... *sighs*

Has anyone heard from JtSF in awhile? I know he was in contact with other CBers on other websites, though he hasn't posted anything on his blog for awhile. I think he talked to Melody a lot, though again, she hasn't been on lately either.

Also, some others to add to the list are Ima and WritingWarrior.

Hey guys (lol I almost wrote "guts")

I saw I was on this list and I guess I want to let you guys know I'm not dead. I AM STILL ALIVE!

I look on here, I guess there's not too much I want to post about....

Well, y'all know that JtSF is my bro, and I want you to know that he is not dead either. My theory is, he joined facebook and got sucked into its VORTEX of evilness.

I miss Red. I, too, noticed that he and Ruby disappeared.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure that Maggie is still alive. JtSF recently mentioned to me being in contact with her (through such abysmalities (if that's a word) as FACEBOOK and SKYPE)

And I don't get on the computer too much either.

I think the change started... well, did everyone notice when Cricket mag started making the ads for the CB more noticeable and including "chirps from the chatterbox" in the Letterbox? I think thats around when the new people started coming more. And now the Chirp at Cricket is filled with the "Umm... hi.."'s of newbies (not that I have anything against that).

Anyway, I type too much. I'll let JtSF know you put him on your missing persons' list.

PS I did recently post on Pudding's Place as "sum dum gai" (seriously did anyone read Adventure! ? Dan Vebber? kinda obscure but... anyone?)

Yeah, the only reason why I'm not all too pleased with the Crowd Sorcery is that it let out the secret of the Chatterbox! And a lot of people who read the magazine but who aren't necessarily all writery/readery/random/insane/brilliant learned about it and came on but didn't necessarily jive with the mood of the place.

Poor Joe the Stickfiddler. Well, I guess at fifteen it is kind of hard to resist the centripital force of Facebook.

Hello! I'm still here! I might have not been on for a few weeks, but I'm alive. Like, I made an "I'm Back" post, but I guess no one saw it. But if you haven't noticed, I've only made about 5 threads the whole time I've been on the CB. Why did I just start saying 'but' a bunch? Hmm... Weird.

I've been posting, it's just hard with school and endless, stupid, pointless math HW. I'm not going to use half these skills when I become an author, you know. Seriously. Anyway, I have to go cuz I should turn off my computer. But I'm here! Bye!

ZNZ (but she's been gone for so long now)

L

Olive

Ivy - I think

Wow have most of these people been gone for a year or am I old?
