Hello there.........

Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

Hello there.........

Hello there.........

Does anyone from the old days still remember me? I used to be on a lot, but then I got distracted... by a couple games that were hardly worthy of distraction from this. Now that the new school year has started, I'll be around much more.

I see that CB is still mostly girls, haha. I wonder why boys don't come on here a lot? *evil grin* it was probably my fault, XD, they all came on and saw how much of an idiot I was. :D

For the people here who are new, as in, new since last December haha, a bit about myself. I'm thirteen, eighth grade, Christian, advanced courses in pretty much everything there is to be advanced in (not much yet, unfortunately), violist (WOOT!), Coldplay fan, and pyrotechnic engineer extraordinaire (just kidding). I've been reading Cricket for seven-odd years, since I was six or seven. I made what was pretty much the first post in CaC, two and a half years ago or something like that.

My return will be limited, as the advanced eighth grade classes that I take give me lots of work *sigh*. I'll probably confine myself to CaC and DtE -- but please, no more quizzes! I quit because of the quizzes! LOL -- although if something pops up in the other departments that looks interesting, I may reply.

I remember  you,  Tim. Glad to have you back with us again. Welcome.

Paulette, my brother is 14 too, (I'm a triplet, so my 2 siblings and I are the same age :)) and he is a little taller than 6 ft. too! :o I'm 5 ft. 9 in.-the shortest out of my siblings. :p I guess that's not too bad though, I'm the same size as my mom. :) Hee, hee, everything you wrote about slapping made me laugh.... :)

Oh Wow, everyone is TALL! :)  I'm 5 ft. 5 in, but I've also been told that I might be very tall.  My sister (who's taller than my mom) is 5'9 and my Aunt is just about 6'.  Being tall has many advantages, and I know a lot of tall girls and women(I have a 14 year old friend who is 6'2''!  She plays volleyball :D).  It's just cool that some of you are tall.  :)

@Kenzie, that's really neat!  I also want tot know how you guys get email addresses!  I don't have a FB, so email would be my only way.....

Hey, I like cheese too! And most of my friends are girls, for some odd reason, and most all of them are shorter than me, so I'm accustomed to being slapped... LOL joking.

I'm glad that someone is letting me off the hook for anything. I'm always held responsible for anything if I'm even remotely related. :( Like the time Matt failed a German test and he blamed me.

I love cheese too! :) Ha, ha, loads of people like cheese around here.... ;)

Tim, how in the world did Matt fail a German test and blame you???

He forgot to study and we had planned to study together, he just didn't show up to study. So I aced the test and he got a 12/30 because he forgot all the stem changes in German and spelled everything wrong, as well as forgetting a lot of verb meanings. He blamed me for giving him the wrong answers during our (nonexistent) study session... :\ But fortunately, Frau Rousse was smart enough not to believe him.

Oh, I see....good thing the teacher didn't believe him! :) Then again, I don't think any teacher would believe that excuse. ;)

Hey wait Tim... Who WOULDN'T blame you for things that happen? Hmmm German, that's cool. But I'm still not surprised that people blame you. There always has to be someone to blame............Good thing you're friends with girls, the guys at my church NEVER EVER talk to girls. Oh well I don't care  they're weird anyway, and really old fashioned..... But there is this creepy dude who makes weird parrot noises and always yells my name and I say"WHAT DO YOU WANT LEAVE ME ALONE GAHHHHHHH!"  Why is cheese so delicious? There's a younger girl I know she hates cheese!!!!!!!!! ARISE CHEESE LOVERS, LET US GO FORTH AND DESTROY HER!!!! Not really but sure!

1. parrot noises?

2. HATES CHEESE?!?!?!?!?!?!? INCONCEIVABLE!

"You keep using that word... I do not think it means what you think it means."

3. Yeah, it's a good thing I'm friends with girls. The way my life has worked out is that I have met more girls who know how to be good friends to me than guys. I've always been something of an outcast, although that's changing; the smart nerd who's not athletic. The girls I've known are usually able to be more tolerant of that, and, so to speak, take me as I am, rather than demanding change (not outright, but subtly signaling "You're weird, fix this.") The best friends don't ask you to fix something about yourself, they make you want to fix that about yourself because they set good examples.

Anyone else a huge LOTR fan?

I LOVE THE PRINCESS BRIDE!  And cheese.  Though I can't have cheese until Tuesday because I am being a vegan for a week...  Though I might choose to be vegan longer.  And I can't remember if I have already said that somewhere else or not...

Hmmm...  You don't seem particularly weird.  But I haven't met you in real life, so I don't know.   And if I did think you were weird, then I like weird, so all is well.  :)  Most of my friends are boys, or at least the friends I see more often.  I don't know why...

Yes, I love LOTR!  My eight-year-old friend also loves it, so we have conversations about it in the middle of the night because we can't sleep...  And have pizza-sword-fights, while quoting Inigo Montoya...  :D

No, no Tim. It's ok, just joking. I joke A LOT so you better get used to it. Lots of people think I'm a nerd just 'cause I have glasses. Glasses do NOT make a person a nerd. I'm not that smart either, though my friend says I am, maybe compared to her....

Ha, ha, Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies. :) I love LOTR! I actually haven't read any of the books yet, but I've seen every movie-they're so awesome! :)

Ditto. Except *cough* I've read the books... *glares at Kimberly*

This spring, I staged a Princess Bride showing for my friends. We ate pizza, watched the Princess Bride, and then went to the fireworks. It was a lot of fun. :)

@Paulette: I have contacts :D I had glasses for six years and then I decided, enough with these, time for CONTACTS! so now I wear contact lenses. and quite frankly, I love wearing them.

Dude, I just got contacts a bit ago too!  They make life so much easier. :)

I've read the books!  I prefer the books to the movies...

I did the same exact thing; watch the Princess Bride, and eat pizza.  Though we didn't really watch fireworks...  But we did have pizza sword fights.  Then we ate them, and had to use the noodle PVC pipe duct tape swords we had made...

Glasses are probably soon to be in my future, for both my parents, and their parents, have glasses.  And they don't use contacts because it hurt their eyes...  My dad had to wear contacts when he was eight, though, so it could sort of act as braces for his eyes...  Then he was able to have only glasses, and he chose those because contacts were uncomfortable for him...

Speaking (or typing...) of braces, I might have to have braces...   As the dentist said, two years ago, I might have to have braces in a couple years.  it has been a couple years...  And now my teeth seem to need braces.  We got a retainer, so it would keep my teeth lined up, but then it broke, and then I stopped using it, and the last time I tried it on it was to small for my mouth...
