Reunion thread! Hey everybody! Valentine's Day is coming up in less than a week. Some of you already know this, but if you don't, February 14 is a day for old CBers to come back and say hi. I know I'm a little early, but I wanted to make sure there was a centralized place for old CBers to pop up so that we're not spread across eight threads in all corners of the CB. I'll post a longer, more personal hello once this gets posted, but I wanted to leave the intro pretty short so that we don't all have to scroll through it.
Also, just so it's clear: I'm the one posting this thread, but it isn't my thread! It's just a centralized place for CBers new, old, and somewhere in between to reunite. Feel free to add your own hello's, no matter if you're a visiting or current CBer. See you on Valentine's Day! :)

Hey, it's Alizarine! I joined the chatterbox back in Jan 2018 and stopped posting sometime in 2020 (even though I never officially "left"). Although I wasn't here for that long, the CB was a such a huge part of my life and I'm so happy to have found it. I've met some truly awesome people on here.
I'm now a senior in high school, and I'm planning to go to college for environmental sciences & sustainability (although that might change. who knows). Lately I've been doing a lot of art, getting back into piano, and listening through fiction/audiodrama/D&D podcasts at alarming speeds. I'm attending public school this year after being homeschooled K--11, and even though it was a weird transition, it was absolutely worth it. I'm so happy to see this community become more accepting and I hope it'll stay active far into the future.
It's been a wild couple of years. Great to see so many familiar names on here!

Alizarine! You're another one whose time on the CB I just missed, but I remember you and thought you were such a unique and creative person. It's SO COOL that you're going to study environmental studies/sustainability, I also really want to do something with my life that helps the environment. But then also I really want to do art, or writing, which could be hard to combine? Good luck, anyway! Also, have you listened to The Bright Sessions?

I'm Cynthia Maple! I joined in mid-2020 and stayed on for a little over a year, then y'know, life, and I never really found myself coming here like I used to. I'm sorry for just leaving without notice, though I probably still won't be as active as I once was. I was also part of the Forest RolePlay which was SO MUCH FUN!

Oh! Everyone is doing life updates, so I will too!
Ok, since I drifted off Chatterbox I have put more effort into pursuing acting, I started taking classes and I was in a Christmas play, and that was a really amazing experience!
I've also picked up crocheting in the past three or four months! So far I've crocheted a dog sweater, a few hats, a scarf, and right now I'm working on a blanket for my cousin!
Uh let's see...I turned thirteen, which is CRAZY! It's still kind of hard to believe!

- im in 6th grade now!! and i canonically have 4 children

I'm pretty late now, but hello! I'm Luna, though I used to be Soren Infinity. I joined may 2018 and left last fall. I'm probably most "known" for writing ski lodges (Magicae Palace and The Ski Lodge Story). It's good to see everyone again!
For life updates, I'm a freshman now and I'm involved in just about everything. We just had our last pep band game where I played snare, and we've started practicing for our musical Peter Pan (I'm a lost boy). I'm in scholastic bowl, choir and book club too. I also started Percy Jackson since I managed to miss it when I was younger and I'm really liking it.
I still love the CB and all the memories I have of it. It's crazy to think how much taught me- the CB was my first real introduction to the LGBTQ+ community and what it meant to be queer, helping me realize my own identity (I'm agender and I use any pronouns). I also got a lot better at poetry, learning how varied and unique poetry can be & developing my own style of writing poems. And of course ski lodges will always be very important to my growth as an author. I hope everyone can have a positive experience like I did. :)

LUNA hi!! I don't really remember much from Percy Jackson, but I do remember really liking it. I've never been into theater myself, but I have a friend who's playing a lead role in my school's musical for this year (I do NOT know the name. Something about someone being alive and well in Paris, I think?) and sometimes he makes us practice lines with him at lunch, haha.

Hey Luna! I've always looked up to you and loved getting to know you! I've also recently decided to start reading the Percy Jackson series- starting with the 2nd book because I've already read the first.

Oh my goodness I'm late! As I was falling asleep on Valentines Day I remembered the reunion and haven't had a chance to stop in since, but I'm here now! So many familiar faces! I missed you all so much.
I've only drifted recently, but unfortunately I've finally outgrown this place. The CB has meant so much to me over the years (I joined in 2017, I think) and I'll always love this community and everyone I've met through it. The CB helped me grow so much as a writer and a person and I'll always be gratefil for that.
I'm 17 now, and a junior in high school, so I have been very, very busy. I have my driver's license, which is pretty cool! I'm currently in my school's spring musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which is an insane show. That takes up pretty much all the time I'm not in school, but it's so much fun and I'm having a great time. I've started looking into colleges, I'm going for secondary English education--I want to be a high school English teacher. :) I actually spent last weekend visiting my cousin at college, which was fun. She gave me a tour of campus, I grabbed dinner with some old friends, then we went to a party. I never ended up figuring out my gender identity, but I'm cool with it. I've become more confident socially over the course of this year, made some new friends, and become closer with old ones. I am no longer in love with my best friend (yay) and there's now a guy that I'm kinda sorta dating? I'm hoping that'll work out. Overall, life is changing a lot and that's a little scary, but I'm also looking forward to what the future holds!

Quill, I've missed you so much! It sounds like things are going well for you and that's great to hear. We actually joined the CB in the same year--honestly, I assumed you'd been around for years before me. You've always been so kind and mature, and you're such an inspiration to me. I hope your junior year goes well, as does the rest of your life.

Sybill! I missed you too! Things are going pretty well, it's been nice. That's so funny, I always assumed the same thing about you! You've always been so cool and creative. I hope everything goes well for you too, and I hope to see you around in the future, the next reunion at least!
