Compliment thread
These have been dead for a while because a lot of people were feeling left out, but I miss the kind of positivity it spread and I know I'm not the only one. However, I don't want to ignore why they got abandoned in the first place; so I'll be going back to an old rule I made in a Compliment thread a few years ago. When you post a comment, you must compliment someone who hasn't received a compliment yet. For example, if CBers 1-7 had already received compliments, I could compliment as many of them as I wanted, but I would also have to compliment one of the other CBers.
The purpose of compliment threads was never to make some people feel better while putting others down. We don't want people to feel left out; it doesn't happen on purpose when it comes to these threads. You are not selfish for wanting compliments or overdramatic for feeling forgotten. It's tough to give sincere compliments to people who rarely post, or are very new and we haven't gotten to know yet. Sometimes things like that can't be helped- I'm not saying that you should be more active if you're already very busy and stressed. And if you're new, then you're new! We can't wait to get to know you, it just takes a bit of time. There is always the old trick where if you come and compliment some people, you'll usually get compliments in return. Comments like "I haven't gotten any compliments, I guess everyone hates me" or "PLEASE COMPLIMENT ME!!" are neither efficient nor appreciated, especially if you do so anonymously.
I'd also like to add that good compliments come in all shapes and sizes. Being one sentence long doesn't make a compliment a "bad" one, just a short one. It only matters that you're sincere about it.

Okay whenever I try to remember a list of people or things, I forget something, so I apologize if I don't compliment you, I'll prolly do it eventually.
Lumi- You're an awesome person, you write well, your poems are deep and heartfelt, and you are the "speech maker" of the CB! Oh, and also your name is super cool. You do it all!
Jaybells- Your poems are absolutely breathtaking! And you've always felt like a Big to me. Oops, sorry, y'don't know what that is. Let me explain- at this summer camp I go to, the counselors are called Big Brothers and Big Sisters, but they're always just called Bigs, and you feel like a Big- almost like an older sibling. Sorry, went off on a tangent there.
Azure- Since you're on the CB for a few days, may as well compliment you! You are super kind and awesome, and also whooooooooooah your art is so good, and realistic!
Luna-Starr- Making this thread is just a demonstration of your kindness! You're also awesome at... pretty much everything else. Woot woot! Another do-it-all-er!
Writing_in_the_Dark- All your writing is super good, and you have great ideas. Your art is even better, and I honestly wish I could draw like you!
Sterling- Kinda the same as Jaybells. You've always felt like a Big to me, giving advice, and writing, and all the other stuff.
SNS- You are always there, always active, always ready to help people out. I've seen you on the Confessions thread, giving advice, more times then I can count. I think that says a lot about your willingnes to help others, as well as your kindness.
peppermint- You have a super-cool name, and you, too, are always there to help out and comfort others. You are super polite (not that everyone else isn't), too.
moon kitsune- You're not super active, but I've always liked your writing!
Sammy E- You feel like a Big, too, but one of the funny ones, the ones everyone wants to have because they're so lenient and just awesome. Your writing is awesome, too!
Tealeaf- I'm not sure how long you've been here, but you integrated so quickly! I admire that; it took nearly a month for people to notice and remember me.
Firelily- Same as Tealeaf. You just made such a big impression on me, so quickly!
Peregrine- You feel like a Big too, sometimes, with your advice and comfort, but other times you feel like a good friend. You are always there for people, but you also write well and you critique well!
Silver Crystal- We joined almost around the same time, and I imprinted on you and kinda-sorta-almost-definitley-didn't stalk you around the CB, imprinting on you like a duckling. Aside from that, though, you're super charismatic, you write suuuuuuuper well, and your poems are heart-wrenching and guaranteed to make me feel something.
Princess Juniper- After you changed your name, I got to know you much better (not saying your old name was bad; I loved it). I imprinted on you, too, though not as-
creepily
-hhhhhhhhuuuuuuush, Rory- severely as Silver.
NoOneKnows- You write super well, and your RP on Inkwell looks awesome, which just proves my point! You are also not super active, but that's fine, because you make a lasting impression even when you are here.
Quill- You feel kind of like a very good friend, always there for everyone. Charismatic, kind... everything about you is awesome, including your name!
Cynthia Maple- I don't know how active you are on here, anymore, but I imprinted on you like I imprinted on Juni and Silver, even though you joined a bit later. Also, your name is puh-retty dang cool.

Oh gosh, thank you so much Wree!! You just made my day :) It's interesting that you said we joined around the same time, you seem like you've been here for so much longer then me! You are honestly so charismatic and fun to interact with- even your name shows it. I'll definetley be doing more compliments later, so see you guys soon :P

I love all the wonderful ideas you have. The storyings thread you started, rebooting the art/writing contest. Your writing is so discriptive, something that makes a story more enjoyable for me. I really like how well you organize things and how welcoming you are. Also, thank you for starting the dream thread. It makes me laugh eveytime I read through it.

Wreeboo, you're so much fun and so creative! I love the thought you put into things. And your name is amazing- idk how you came up with it but to me it seems kind of playful and wise at the same time, as well as it being so much fun to say (though I've never actually said it out loud lol) at least in my head.

peppermint, you're so thoughtful! For instance, your compliment thread idea. Your posts are so much fun to read and your ideas are so interesting. And it's totally fine that you haven't put anything here! Not everyone has time for that. I probably wouldn't if it wasn't for spring break, honestly.

-NoOneKnows: Your name "looks" really mysterious to me, like on of those aged parchments/scrolls with a map or secret document on it
-Jubilee: Your name sounds so fun and shiny and bright pink with extra sprinkles and confetti on top. If I were to describe it like a picture, you'd have a lot of movement, like you were in the middle of jumping, with a big grin on your face
-clover: Your name reminds me if a baby deer for some reason? It's also a soft pale green that's sort of comforting and a plushy for some reason
-Lazerbat: Your name makes me crack up every time I see it because I imagine this cute little bat just flying around in the night, and then it sees a mosquito and suddenly spouts a huge blazer and cyber-punky helmet thing to shoot it down with. It also has this cool, gothic, vampire-y feel to it
-strawberri: I associate that sweet, light-magenta colour along with pastel pink with your name and it always makes me really hungry for strawberry shortcake XD
-Tealeaf: Your name is so cute, and reminds me of a steeping leaf with a really nice fragrance, but also a little dark green, cartoon-y leaf with a smile and tiny shiny eyes
-Viola?: You have a really pretty violet-ish and lavender fabric theme in my head
-Firelily: You have a really cool, almost firework aesthetic. It's a dark purple in the centre, which melts to red and then orange with the slightest tint of yellow at the edge
-C. Marbylls: Your name reminds me of a burbling brooke, with small, smooth stones beneath the gentle water. It also reminds me of purple geods/amythest, or maybe those clear marbles with the coloured swish in them
-Leafpool: Autumn maple leaves slowly floating down and then landing on the smooth surface of a lake/pond, and then the leaves at the bottom; where you can sort of see them, but it's too deep to see them clearly. A single yellow, lemon-shaped leaf against a pure blue sky also works for Leafy
-Cynthia Maple: Maple leaves obviously come to mind, but also varying shades of light/brownish pinks and an assortment of oranges and browns come to mind. It's really pretty!
-Wreeboo: Your name reminds me of marble or pretty blue and/or grey porcelain tiles, as well as a ship in a bottle
-Abagail: You have amazing poetry/song lyrics and maybe that's partially why you're a deep maroon-ish pink, which is the colour I usually associate with a certain variety of poems/writing. Your name also sort of rolls, like waves of fabric or stage curtains
-Periwinkle: Perry the Platypus. Lol, but I also think of a tiny, dainty flower when I see your name
-Porcelain Dragon: Your name sounds so delicate and teapot-y. I don't even know what that means, just elegant, I guess? It 'looks' like a small white china figure with faint bluish, greenish grey streaks. Oddly enough, I can't tell if it looks like a dragon or not
-Ella Starburst: You simultaneously remind me of fireworks and starburst candies. You're sort of the colours (ei. Yellow, pink, orange) of starbursts and remind me of those fluffy clouds at sunrise, where they're a bunch of pretty colours
-Azaela: Your name sounds like a light, soft, flowing blue to me. It's really refreshing and is sometimes dappled with really light pink. I also associate your name with the word 'wisteria' because it has such a musical, wispy feel to it
-Leo: Your name conjures a lot of different things for me; a lion painting, a purplish blue sky filled with stars, a sort of familiar, warm and cozy feel, that fantasy dwarf-fortress filled with dark reds, oranges and browns, really pretty warm brown eyes and also amber/sunsets. It sort of feels nostalgic for some reason

Luminescence: Where do I start? You are quite literally amazing. You radiate kindness and positivity and you've always been there for me. You're a peacemaker and an amazing author- Everything about you glows. I love you so much Lumi, and I hope that one day we'll meet in person.
Azalea: You are, first of all, an AMAZING artist. I stare at your picturings and wonder how you do them- but that's not everything I have to say. Aza, your AEs are SO much fun to roleplay with. I LOVE the Starna/Faulight/Whatever we're gonna call it ship and I know for sure we have to continue it. You've made my day brighter and better a hundred times with your sweet, funny words and I'm so glad to call you my CBF.
Starchaser: Yes- Just yes. You are so vibrant and interesting, a rainbow of colors springing around the room. You're kind and amazing and you always cheer me up. Also, your piggies make my day 100% better every time I see them. PIGGIE POWER!

thank you so much, that means a lot. <33 the fact that you compared me to a rainbow makes me very happy :) and I'm glad I'm able to cheer you up (along with my sweet pigs ofc). it's really nice to hear bc for example on your chat rant thread thingy (what do I call it lol) I kinda felt like I was being outdone by other people? especially Lumi bc she's amazing with words, and I've never been able to do that. nothing against anyone, y'all are amazing and I admire how you can do that. but it's great to hear that I can help :) that was kind of a rant, oops
and I definitely consider one of my best CBFs! you're absolutely amazing and somehow you kinda remind me of some of my irl friends? so that almost makes me even more comfortable talking to you. idk lol
