Compliment thread
These have been dead for a while because a lot of people were feeling left out, but I miss the kind of positivity it spread and I know I'm not the only one. However, I don't want to ignore why they got abandoned in the first place; so I'll be going back to an old rule I made in a Compliment thread a few years ago. When you post a comment, you must compliment someone who hasn't received a compliment yet. For example, if CBers 1-7 had already received compliments, I could compliment as many of them as I wanted, but I would also have to compliment one of the other CBers.
The purpose of compliment threads was never to make some people feel better while putting others down. We don't want people to feel left out; it doesn't happen on purpose when it comes to these threads. You are not selfish for wanting compliments or overdramatic for feeling forgotten. It's tough to give sincere compliments to people who rarely post, or are very new and we haven't gotten to know yet. Sometimes things like that can't be helped- I'm not saying that you should be more active if you're already very busy and stressed. And if you're new, then you're new! We can't wait to get to know you, it just takes a bit of time. There is always the old trick where if you come and compliment some people, you'll usually get compliments in return. Comments like "I haven't gotten any compliments, I guess everyone hates me" or "PLEASE COMPLIMENT ME!!" are neither efficient nor appreciated, especially if you do so anonymously.
I'd also like to add that good compliments come in all shapes and sizes. Being one sentence long doesn't make a compliment a "bad" one, just a short one. It only matters that you're sincere about it.

Bakerloo- you are so wonderfully witty and patient and kind and intelligent and a million other things. I'm so grateful for you, Orson, Ellingham Manor and all of your other stories. There is a lot to admire about you and I'm extremely glad to know you.
Quill- dear lovely Quill, you never fail to make me smile. I don't believe it's possible for you to do wrong. Your art leaves me in awe, your sweetness makes me smile, and your comments on Magicae Palace are one of the main things that kept me from quitting. Always be you, darling.
Aza- my word, you are so lovely. You are sweet and honest and friendly and your art is absolutely wonderful. There is so much genuine goodness in you and I love seeing you spread it throughout the CB. I very much admire you and I know I'm not the only one.

I'm not sure who's been complimented or not complimented, so I'll do a bunch.
-Writing_in_the_Dark: I think you bring a lot of the old craziness back to the CB, and you just seem like a generally happy and energetic person!
-Quill: I don't know you super well, because I'm a newer CBer, but I've always felt like you're one of the "senior" CBers, and... I don't really know how to say it? Wise? I'm not sure XD
-Lumi: I think you're a really kind person. Your pep talks are always really helpful and you're just kind in general.
-Hawthorne: I'm not even sure if you're on here a ton, but I remember from the Ultimate Picturings thread that your art is amazing! Other awesome artists I can think of right now (although all of you are) are Agent Winter, Honeybee, and Azalea.
-Emekittycon K.: I don't know if you're super active either, but I've seen your comments and they're always super energetic and happy which is cool.
and last, but not least...
Everyone! You're all amazing people, and you should never let anyone convince you otherwise. Everyone has flaws, so don't be too hard on yourself. If you have a goal or a dream, go after it! Reach it. You can. Don't let anyone or anything stop you. I'm really glad I'm on the CB with all of you on here too, and each and every one of you helps it be what it is today. If you're new, or old, or in the middle, you all make a difference, and the CB wouldn't be the same without you. <3

Fallen Leaf, I don't know you super well, but you seem very sweet and considerate. Also, I think I remember that you were on NaNo and I had a lot of fun talking to you there :) And that last paragraph was very inspiring and it put a smile on my face!

Starchaser- Thanks for the compliment! I love your name too. It's really kind that you have complimented pretty much every person who has commented on this thread. Also, yes, periwinkle is a color and a flower! It's kind of funny because the periwinkle flowers are actually the color periwinkle, at least some are.

Jaybells, I don't really know you (from what I can tell you're mostly on poetry threads, and I don't go on those often) but from the few times I've looked at the poetry thread, I've noticed how pretty and expressive your poetry is. Plus, I like how you take the time to give feedback on other people's work :)
