Your name either on the photo or on separate paper. Be careful not to press hard on the back of the photo so the writing lines make an impresssion on the photo. We would prefer you write name, age, and address on a label, then stick the label to the back of the photo. The adult signature can be on a separate piece of paper. If you send all the ID on separate paper, then we copy it onto a label to stick to the back of the photo.

Yes, we love when photos come with captions! Tell us who, what, and/or where or just come up with something that will make us laugh!

Admin: When will we be able to vote on the sidekicks? Or at least know who made it to the finalists?  As well, how are you guys hired to work at cricket? Do you have to interview or send in a portfolio of your work? Just wondering... It seems like a cool job.

Voting for Sidekicks will be July 18 through 28. Each Admin may have arrived at Cricket in a different way, either by applying for an advertised job opening in the editorial department or by just sending a resume to the company, then being called in for an interview when an opening occured. I actually knew someone who worked for the company and recommended me. We all have various duties in the editorial department. Chatterbox is just part of what we do.

Ok I'm going to preface this question by saying how much I love the Admin because this is exactally the kind of question that would make any real life teacher (or grown-up) hate my guts. It's right up there with " do I have to write in pen?", "will we need to study?", "can I use my notes on the test?", and the general but annoying statement " I forgot my pencil/homework" * well, what do you expect ME to do about it, huh?*. Anyways, imagine this as meekly and politely said as possible: When will we be able to see the finalists for the sidekicks? Today is July 18 and this morning I set an alarm so I could check first thing but they're still not up. Do you guys have maybe an eta of when I can check because I just spent my morning rushing back to cricket every 20 minutes to see if they're posted. Sorry about this question- I hope you don't hate me. Thank you again!!

I mentioned last night that the reading and careful consideration of all the Sidekicks was a huge job for Fred and Emily. Not only did we get many more Sidekicks than we had Heroes/Heroines, but they are all so interesting. They read into the wee hours of this morning, then needed to collaborate on their favorites list to come up with one. I think the finalists are just about selected by now and the Vote for Sidekicks thread will be posted very soon, but I'm not sure what moment. You'll just need to keep checking. We're doing our very best to keep to the schedule, but we go way more entries than we'd aniticipated!

Voting for them will be open until the 28th.

1. Yes, we're employed by Cricket Media and have many responsibilities in the editorial department of the magazines. Chatterbox is just one of them.

2. Not sure about the Instant Chat. These next few weeks are really busy, so it's hard for me to say when we'll be posting comments for sure and for how long.

Admin, I keep creating different chatterbox posts, and they show up for a couple of hours and then vanish. None of them are objectionable or have anything questionable in them, so I can't imagine that they are being deleted. Can you tell me what is happening?

They might be going to a back page. That often happens when we post a reply from someone. Look there.

Since no one else has reported this problem, I would guess it may have to do with some controls on the computer she's using. Can she try from another computer?
