Chatterbox: Blab About Books
The Longest Thread
The longest thread...
The longest thread on CaC is now finished. I would not like that thread to ever die, so...I pronounced that thread closed. It is not dead, it was just put to sleep. :-)
Anyways, we CBers now have a new mission. We need to make the longest thread ever made here on BaB. The main topic of this thread is books. Please feel free to chat about any books you like.
We have a big challenge, though. We need to get more than 1061 posts! Do you think we can accomplish it? If we try our best we can!
Okay, enough of the pep talk. Let's get chatting!!!! :-D

YIKES! This thread is at the bottom! Let's bring it to the top again!
Who here has read The Penderwicks? If so, which books have you read? I've read 1 and 3, but not 2. :-)

I've read the first! I think it was good and quite sweet!

Has anyone else read The Green Glass Sea? I liked it for the most part, but I had a few problems with it. For one thing, "the Gadget" that was heavily emphasized in the description, wasn't even mentioned until the last 5 chapters. And then (this was where I went absolutely crazy) The Green Glass Sea, what drew me into the book in the first place, wasn't mentioned until the final chapter. It wasn't even that important, just some family driving down to look at it. It could have been taken out of the book entirely and the family could've gotten hamburgers and gone skydiving and it wouldn't have made a difference. >:0

I haven't read the Green Glass Sea, sowwy. :P
Anyways, someone mentioned something about how they should hire actors who look like the characters. Well, would you rather the actor look exactly like Percy Jackson but be one of the most terrible actors in the world or someone who could act well and could be transformed by "Hollywood magic" into Percy. (I'm not saying that Logan Lerman was exactly very good but...)
And has anyone here read Howl's Moving Castle? I know someone mentioned it, I think. I lovee it. :)

Thread Director, whoever you are (though I highly suspect you are Princess.P), we should continue posting on the CaC thread! What if another group tries to knock our title?

WritingWarrior-Okay, I admit that I am the Thread Director. How'd ya know? Yeah, I guess it's a good idea to keep up the CaC Longest Thread. Although, no one's been posting on there for a while...I think the SI on CaC is catching up...
Okay, everyone, WritingWarrior had a good point. Let's start posting not only on this Longest Thread, but also on the Longest Thread in CaC! Approximately a thousand posts to go...

Thank you Analesia for recommending the Kindom Keepers. They are really really good. I couldn't put the first book down and I can hardly wait till I get the second one from the library. I love that it's set in Disney World.
Was it you Princess P. who read them as well?
