The Harry Potter

Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Percy Jackson and the Olympians
The Harry Potter...

The Harry Potter era is almost up!!

I think we all know, a new era is dawning, Percy Jackson and the Olympians!

The Percy Jackson
series is possibly the BEST series ever written!

The first book, The Lightning Theif,
is about Percy Jackson the kid who always gets into trouble. He finds out that he is not an ordinary kid -- he's the son of
Poseidon!

Zeus' Bolt has been stolen and who gets the blame? Percy, the
only living offspring of the Big Three (Zeus, Poseidon and Hades). Now he goes on a quest to find the Bolt and
prove that he is not the Lightning Theif with the help of his friends
Grover and Annabeth. But if Percy didn't steal the Bolt, then who did?

Percy Jackson is the new Harry Potter! Though, Harry Potter still has
magnificent and majestic great books, Percy Jackson is taking over!

JK Rowling, is still a great author, and will be known throughout history as "One of the greatest authors of all times", Rick Riorden is now taking her place.

We all know it!! You may have read the Potter books, and say they are better, they are great, but many of us agree, Jackson is the new Potter.

Don't deny it. You may not be a fan of the Olympian books, but you know, Percy Jackson is the new hit!!

Though, Harry Potter will stay in the hearts of many, it will never die
off, or become out-of-fashion, Percy Jackson is taking over.

I don't think Vida meant this to be mean or offensive. I think it's fine that she posted this and she can again. But I think some people should be a little more understanding of people's feelings and opinions.

I know, I know. I just think that because it brought up a lot of arguments and problems, she'd be better off telling her friends, than telling all of CB. I just don't want another problem like this. To many bad things happened. First-- Some people argued about their opinions. Then--Annoyed came, and we all know where that went (No offense Annoyed) Lastly--I was accused of being a not so great person I'm not. I just think that to avoid more problems and arguments, she shouldn't post this again.

Well... it would be kind of weird for her to repost this, anyway, wouldn't it?  I wonder who Annoyed was...?  I can't stand when people don't put their names (like their afraid of other people disagreeing with their opinion).  But, yeah, things went bad, and although I kinda of like intense debates (as long as I don't get yelled at), it's better off we don't do it.  Oh, and SMS's writing style was unique because she used alot of exclaimation points, and other little quirks.

I don't have a problem with using alternate names during arguments. During the "Warriors" time, I posted as "Name" a fair bit. When there's so much arguing and insults flying around, and people angry at each other, it feels safer to not use your own name.

I guess those are good reasons. I'm so sorry that I thought you were annoyed! Please forgive me! Please!?

*laughs* It's okay! Really! And I wonder who Annoyed was too. I went to NAME's house yesterday, and btw, she's not Annoyed either. She agrees. She hates it when people don't put who they really are. I spent 10 minutes listening to her rant about it. It was pritty funny. But anyway, who is Annoyed? Annoyed if you're still, there tell us please.

*Sighs a sigh of relief* Yes, I would like to know too... And I would advise Annoyed to try not to get so mad next time.

I'm not anyone. I'm just Annoyed. I don't have another identity. Though I'm thinking about making one.

Ok, I hope you aren't offended.

No, I'm not. And you're all right. I shouldn't have exploded like that. I was just having a bad couple of weeks. My Great-Grandma died about a month ago, then my grandpa died a couple weeks ago, then my dog died, then a week later my other dog died. So, I was just a little temperamental. I'm really sorry though. I mean REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY sorry. Cry

We're so sorry for all your losses, Annoyed. We forgive you.

Annoyed, I never thought you exploded.  I just thought you were stating your opinion, which is perfectly fine.  I think Vida exploded more than you. But, yes, I'm so sorry about what's been going on in your life.  That is so terrible.  If it makes you feel any better, I only haev one grandpa and one grandma left.  And their both from different sides of the family.

Whoa. I just ran into this thread and read through it. The whole thing looks very interesting, and if the debate is still going on, I'd love to join in. And R~D~, please, PLEASE read Harry Potter!! They're so good!! Way better than the movies. Once you're done with the series, we can have an initiation ceremony for you. ;)

@MJ: See, I find these debates interesting, too. I don't think it's still going on, but we should come up with another debate!  Oh, and the first HP is awaiting me at the library.  I already ordered it and all I have to do is pick it up. :)

@ R~D--Finally!!!! I can't wait to hear what you think of it!! I'm so excited. I remember finishing the first HP book and thinking what an incredible story it was.

And about the debates: I like intense debates too, not where everyone starts yelling at each other, but ones where people strongly believe in what they are debating. I like trying to prove my side of the argument, and I like hearing why the others disagree.
