Simple enough rules:...
Simple enough rules: Post a quote from any book (no movies, please) and the rest of us will try to guess it. The first person to get it right (and the person who put up the quote has to confirm this) gets to post another quote. If everybody gives up, then the person who posted the quote may tell where it's from. Also, let's not do Harry Potter quotes -- they're really easy for most people here to guess.
So here's mine:
"'I do not have a pointy hat!'"

Ok I know this one. Can't throw people into moats. Fantasy, I know that much. Is it by Cornelia Funke?

Fantasy, yeah, but not Funke. Guess again!

Carson Levine? A Discworld book?

No and no.

Bartimaeus Trilogy? I don't know! Moats!!!! Oh you elude me! ;)
@ANALESIA@
P.S. One Week Till Christmas Eve!!

Nope. *is mysterious*

Well, I give up.

Um, Goose Girl?

"Ever come home and found your room messed up? Like some helpful person (hi, Mom) has tried to 'clean' it, and suddenly you can't find anything?"
(December 19, 2010 - 7:06 pm)
TOP!
@Victoria: Um... If you're submitting a quote, you first have to guess the Moat quote and get it right, before it's your turn to do the quote. :-)
(December 20, 2010 - 2:09 pm)
No one's gotten it so far. And Victoria, Olive is right - you have to guess a quote correctly before you can put one up.
(December 22, 2010 - 11:22 am)
Well, no one had guessed the last quote anyway, so I'll just guess for Victoria's.
Percy Jackson?
May Bird?
(December 22, 2010 - 1:49 pm)
All right, the way the quote is, it sounds like a slithery sort of person, you know, kind of sly. Moats suggests it's fantasy or maybe time-travel sci-fi.
Oh, you know what, ZNZ, can you give us a hint? Or tell us what it is from, so we can abandon it and move on to Victoria's quote.
@ANALESIA@
P.S. You're good at this, ZNZ!
