Simple enough rules:...
Simple enough rules: Post a quote from any book (no movies, please) and the rest of us will try to guess it. The first person to get it right (and the person who put up the quote has to confirm this) gets to post another quote. If everybody gives up, then the person who posted the quote may tell where it's from. Also, let's not do Harry Potter quotes -- they're really easy for most people here to guess.
So here's mine:
"'I do not have a pointy hat!'"

The Book Thief? I so call dibs on the next one. Double dibs!

No, it's not The Book Thief. I love that book, but it's a little too grim to talk about pies.

Isn't that from The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor? I think Jack says something like that to the Hatter in there. :)

Analesia, you can't call dibs. The person who guesses the quote correctly gets to put up the next one. And that's Savitri. If you want to put up a quote, you have to get one right.

Oops, sorry, I've never done a book quote game before. I only just started typing everywhere. I used to only type on the Inkwell.
All these books are never my kind of book. I think the next one might be though!

I'm sorry it took me so long to post -- I came down with a cold, and this is the first I've been out of bed. :)
Anyway, I decided to choose a quote from one of my most favorite books:
"'Feather! Feather!' the Sheep cried again, taking more needles. 'You'll be catching a crab directly.'"

That's right! Great guess, ZNZ -- that was quick. =) I have to admit, though, Lewis Carrol's style is unmistakable. Anyway, it's your turn...I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Oh, I have one quick question -- are you allowed to guess multiple times?

What, multiple times on the same quote? I guess, but try to limit yourself to one guess per comment.
