Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Redwall
This book is...

This book is sooo good! It's the first book in the Redwall series, by Brian Jacques (say it: Jakes). It is about Redwall Abbey in Mossflower woods. All the mice and other woodland creatures who live there are peaceful. But soon their peace will be shattered, because Cluny is coming! Cluny is a huge, one-eyed rat with a tail as long as a whip with a poison barb on the end. He and his army attack Redwall. The mice are able to defend themselves, but if they had the sword of Martin the Warrior, the founder of Redwall, they would be sure to win. Enter Matthias, a clumsy young novice in the order of Redwall. With the help of some wonderful friends, he sets out to find the sword of Martin. Will the mice win? Will Matthias find Martin's sword? Read this book to find out.

There is an animated version of the first book. I haven't seen it but I don't think it's that great. Hot Root soup is delicious. My little brothers and I love playing as dibbuns especially moles. Go moles.

No, Natalie, the animated version stinks.Frown Hardly anyone dies. (Not that I'm bloodthirsty or anything--it makes the story good.) I'd much rather read the books any day.

I really like the first one, and Mariel of Redwall! The first one I've read was Mariel of Redwall, and that's where I fell in love with the series!

I met Brian Jacques! He talks really cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was at a bookstore, and there was a LONG line! I got Redwall signed! It was wonderful! He called my cousin and I "pretty girls." then he signed our books! Then we got our picture taken! It's in my room right now! But it's a little blurry because they didn't allow flash. But it's awesome!
