I do not hate the Twilight books. They are average books: they hook you into the story, but at the end, you sit back and say, "Why did I even read that?" What I do hate is that half of the teenage girls (and many younger ones) have been caught up in the Twilight chaos. I'm sorry if this offends you, but why waste time seeing the same movie over and over while $10 dollars could buy a mosquito net and save several lives in Africa? TWO-THIRDS of the world do not have enough food, and we are wasting valuable time and money on senseless things like Twilight. I would rather see the smile on a starving child's face who has just recieved enough food for the rest of the month than watch one minute of a Twilight movie. 

(I would also like to point out that the first and second books were out long before the movie and the only reason people started reading the books was because the movie came out).

Every little thing makes a difference.  PLEASE start raising awareness in your communities. It is truly much better than reading an inane book.

One of my friends hates the books hands down but has never read them.  I personally don't know, as I've never read them.
