Because I'm bored, and I just read TNO's NaNoWriMo, and am insanely jealous of her brilliant writing skills. So, I am going to use an idea I've had rolling around in my brain for a while, and combine it with an idea I just had.

What you do on this thread is write a long stream of prose about something that is important to you...or about something that just occurred to you...or about something you see out of the window, etc. Please choose friendly topics and use the best spelling and grammar that you can. I'll start.

This is really unusual for me to be posting on Inkwell, but I saw at the forgotten ones in the back a girl namd Mai posted. She was looking for magazines that publish young writers' work. 

Well, Mai... if you're still on here..., then I have some websties.

Pens, paper, and/or notebooks. 

 To those brave people who are NaNoing in pen/pencil and paper (or anyone who handwrites stories in general) do you guys write with a special pen/pencil? In a specific notebook? 

 I, right now, have an obsession with black pens. And gel pens. And Metallica. (completely unrelated) Anyways, it's because I won a black clicky pen that I became extremely attached to. Then I lost it a few days after. But now I have replaced that pen with a black ballpoint pen that spins and turns. 

 Ciao, off to NaNoLand.

QUICK STORIES! Ok, so this thread goes like this: you write a powerful story as fast as you can. to time yourself, you can use a stopwatch, use a clock that has a second hand, or someone to count the seconds in their head (saying 1 mississippi-2 mississippi works), and then write down the story and the time it took you. You can also continue the story. The stories should be pretty short.

Um... I can't tink of one right now...I have an idea, but, It's not long enough...

Anonymous guess-the-story-writer game!

As far as I know there has never been anything like this, so let me explain further...

This is kind of like Secret Identities on CaC. We make up a false pen name, write a short story (no longer than 2,000 words) and post it on here. Then, on the 28th, we guess who wrote which story. I think this will be fun! :) I'll be on here too, so feel free to guess me.

Yes, I realise that I've made a thread already today. But I need advice. And who better to ask than my fellow CBers?
So, this year's novel is called (in case you don't know) The Complete Idiot's Guide to Being the Chosen One. Because I am too lazy for a full explanation: it is basically me making fun of clichéd fantasy *cougheragoncough*. Now, in such a book, the characters must visit elves. It's like a law of the universe.

I debated for a while over whether to put this here or in BaB, but I decided that since the reason I need to know is for NaNoWriMo, it would go best here. So:
My novel this year is called The Compleat Idiot's Guide to Being the Chosen One. If you're on NaNo, you may have read my synopsis. If not, I'll just say that it's me making fun of fantasy clichés, especially Chosen Ones.

So, who wants to read some fanfic? While thinking about my NaNovel (read: procrastinating) I had an interesting plot bunny for a Lord of the Rings fic with Ranger's Apprentice characters in it. And who am I to deny the creative urge? (read: I didn't feel like working on my NaNovel, and this was an interesting form of procrastination) So here it is, in all its glory.
Information:
Halt, Will, and Gilan are traveling. They get lost, and then they run into some most unusual people.

Going for 50,000 this year, which may cause an increase in quality. Let's hope. Regardless, my prologue's done and I am going to share it with you because I don't know what happens next (and what else is new?)
