Theme Writing

Theme Writing

While looking at some of the old threads from before I came across some post about Theme Writing. I realy liked the idea, so I decided to create my own.

Theme writing is when I choose a theme and your job is to write a diary entry, very short story, dialouge, or scenery based on the theme. Your name and age can be the same but the location must be something that relates to the theme.

Literary Magazines

Literary Magazines

I made a pact some few months ago that I wouldn't write any more short stories until I finished my novel, and I just broke that pact two weeks ago, completing three short stories while my novel wilts and wonders why it's being ignored. But I need a place for those short stories beside my "Eventual Short Story Collection" Word file, so I wondered if there are any literary magazines for kids that I can submit them to.

What are HypQuests?

What are HypQuests? I've been here for a few months now and I still don't know what they are. I see the Joe the Stickfiddler has created them, but I hope it's OK that if I like the idea to create my own. Can somebody tell me what a HypQuest is, and the different kinds? Because I see that there are Radical HypQuests, Fresh HypQuests, etc...

Thank you! :)

It stand for Hypothetical Questions, in other words What would you do if . . . Then the "if" is followed by various fantasy situations.

Hunger Games RP!

Hunger Games RP!

This is my first thread and I decided to do a Hunger Games RP. You can post a character, but be sure to include their age (12-18), name, district, skills, family and personality. This thread may later become a game not unlike Ruby M's sugarbowl. (Thanks Ruby Wink)  I may post my character later. -Evan S.

The wind of

The wind of life

Is somewhat dangerous

It may be a summer breeze

There to refresh you

Replenishing your happiness

But it will turn into a tornado

Pushing at you

Yanking you into a world of darkness

The ocean of life

Is somewhat dangerous

It may be a gentle wave

Washing joy over you

But it will turn into a current

Trapping you into itself

Forcing you to fail

The lamp of life

Ello, my fellow

Ello, my fellow Cricketers. Sorry I haven't written in quite a while.

I was wondering if we could start a...sort of...passage thread, I guess you could call it.

I wanted to hear some of your favorite passages from books that really moved you, made you laugh, or made you cry. It can be a sentence, a paragraph, a page...whatever you want.

To get the ball rolling, here's my favorite passage from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:

I hate the

I hate the story that I love. That sounds wrong, bu this is the uneditted first chapter:

One
day, quite a while ago, in the era of kings, queens, castles,
dragons, war, and noble deeds, a young girl strode to her lessons.
This girl happened to be the Princess of Glenenmoore, Lady of Skill,
etc., etc . She moaned and groaned all the time about these lessons,
but it proved no avail. She was still forced to have them.

Radical HypQuests!

Hey guys! I'm running a risk here (see my post on CaC). But anyways...

1. What would you do if you found yourself in a paralell dimension where people were born as big as they would ever get and then got smaller as they got older?

Freak out. Then go find a scientist with some kinda wormhole thingamajig to get me back home.
