Middle-Earth Solo

Middle-Earth Solo Write

The ripples fall, silver-white under the moonlit sky, in Long Lake Esgaroth. It's the middle of the night, the moon is in the middle of the sky, and the land is Middle-Earth. Danger is lurking in the Misty Mountains and in the depths of Mirkwood, and no one knows it. The land is peaceful. The dwarves are unsuspecting. It is Middle-Earth as it always has been.

Feb 2023 Retelling

Feb 2023 Retelling Challenge!

Basically, someone writes a quick short story based on a prompt/guideline, and then the next person posts their own version of what happened! Kinda like short-story telephone? Bonus points if you write from a different perspective that the poster before you!

Quick remindes: Try not to repeat long passages or direct phrasing from others, if possible! And have fun! I'm excited to see what comes of this! (I'm planning on this being a monthly thing but idk right now, we'll see how things go!)

Level Up [Solo

Level Up [Solo Write]

You wake up startlingly. It's sudden, like you've been drenched in a bucket of ice water. The colors are too vivid, the air is too cold, and the wind is much, much too loud.

The wind?

Groaning, you sit up. Even the slightest movement makes your head pound, your limbs ache. It feels like stepping on shattered glass. You squint, trying to get your eyes to adjust to the blinding light. After a few moments, it begins to fade into a color you recognize.

Blue.

The moon rises.

The moon rises.

You watch as a girl solidly in the awkward transition from childhood to adulthood stuffs her long hair into a newboy's cap. A young man, with eyes the color of charcoal and a head of thick curls does a double take.

She looks up. There is recognition in her eyes, you can tell. You don't stick around to see what happens.

The Evaluation Crystal(Pa

The Evaluation Crystal(Part 1?)

Ah, that felt both good and cringy at the same time.  Whatever. This is a story ive been commiting myself to for a few months now. There's a whole busy semester in front of me but i'm still going to stubbornly post this here, or else i'm afraid there's never going to be a chance to force myself to write so much words. This thread might die in a month. Whatever! I worry too much.Ahem. Sorry.
