Pretty self-explanatory, for when you have a question for the Admins.

I was looking through the Ultimate Guide to the CB, and it says people ask the admins questions "frequently related to blue moon ice cream."

What does that mean?

@admins, when you want a picturing, do you just tell about a made up appearance that's for the CB, or do you tell your real life appearance? 
 
We've never asked for a picturing! But sometimes people do draw what they imagine we look like. --admin

So I've been trying to post a picture of a hallway for the "Ekphrasis Challenge Thread," but the picture doesn't seem to go through.

Here's what I did:

1) clicked 'choose file' in the 'my art' box

2) pulled up my files and selected 'hallway.png'

3) clicked 'upload'

4) as per usual, I saw the 'what code is in the image field is required,' but did not see the 'the image was resized to fit in xyz dimesnions' messafe

5) upon scrolling down again, in the art box, I saw that it said 'no file selected' 

 

Notes: 

-I tried posting a picture on another thread (The Captain's role-play thread) shortly afterward and it went through fine.

-I've posted png pictures before.

-I've never actually needed to do the CAPTCHA to upload the file (of course to post the comment, tho lol)

-The file was larger than the size limit, so it would have been resized.

 

@Admins, do you have any ideas?

Or other CBers, too. I may be missing something obvious XD

I'm sorry I can't be of any help. Computer technology is not my area of expertise. I think some other Chatterboxer may be able to help you. At least I hope so.

That's weird. I'm not quite sure what the problem is - I've never had that problem uploading an image before. Try resubmitting it, but filling in the CAPTCHA before clicking "upload"? Or you could try uploading a different file type?

try clicking 'preview' before submitting it. this might not help, because i have not really tried it with an image before, but then again it might solve the problem.

This has happened to me when I've tried to post PDFs. It might mean PNGs aren't a supported file type. Or maybe it's a certain type of png. I'm going to try and post a png and see if it works...hang on a sec....

 

Nope, it works. Weird. I don't know, then. Maybe you named it .png, and it's actually a different file type. Try taking a screenshot and posting that.

@admins where did my thread go? it was titled 'WoF Ski Lodge' and on the Inkwell, it was there a minute ago but now its gone.

There's a glitch that makes the first comment on any post go to the back. If you click "Submitted by" twice, and submit another comment, then it will appear again. People usually top threads in order to bring that comment back.

@admins do you know Wings of Fire or Star Wars?

I haven't read or seen Wings of Fire, but I have seen some of the Star Wars movies. I don't know about the other admins.

@Admins, hello! Thanks for everything you do :) I was wondering, am I allowed to talk about this show I like on the Chatterbox? It can be kind of mature and scary and I know sometimes we're not supposed to talk about things that might not be appropriate for younger CBers, so I wanted to ask first. Thank you :D

Thank you for asking, Periwinkle. I just checked the age rating for the show you mentioned and learned that it is rated inappropriate for Chatterbox age range. I'm sorry, but we'll have to say no.

I think maybe I know what you're talking about?  I've never seen it but all my classmates have and my friend who we'll call Shroom woke up at 3 AM yesterday morning to watch it the moment it came out

I'm not sure why you would know this, but how many active chatterboxers are there?

I don't know. We don't keep track. You could look at recent postings and make a list. I think someone has done that in the past.
