Happy birthday CB! Wow, it seems weird to me that it's been 12 years now. I've been on here for about half that time! And yesssss, the blue moon ice cream story! @Admins (well, I suppose only one of you knows the full story) will you tell the blue moon ice cream story again? I actually found a store not too far from my hometown that sells it, but they're closed for quarantine. Still, I hope to try it someday!

OH, sure—for old time's sake. Someone on Chatterbox mentioned Blue Moon ice cream. There are opposing stories that it was invented in both Michigan and in Wisconsin. I'd seen it in a favorite ice-cream shop in Wisconsin, but never tasted it. (I'm a choco/coffee/mochaholic.) Then one fall day I saw a half gallon of it in our local supermarket here in Illinois. I excitedly bought it and took it home to have a taste. It's fruity. The next weekend, some neighbors hosted a block party. It was mid-October, so it got dark fairly early. We had a potluck meal. When it was time for dessert, I hurried home to get the Blue Moon ice cream to add to the dessert buffet. As soon as I put it out, it seemed to be a big hit. I was hurrying across the yard in the dark with the intent of telling some friends to go quickly to have a taste before it was all gone, not watching the ground. It was very dark. I tripped on the wooden frame of a beanbag toss game, fell, hit the hard wood edge, broke my wrist, and gashed my leg! I had to wear a cast on my right wrist for at least six weeks. And I'm righthanded. Fortunately, I could use my fingers. My leg also got infected, but finally healed with the help of some px that I turned out to be allergic to. It gave me hives. Anyway, I definitely learned to be more careful and watch where I am going!

Thank you so much, Admins, for giving us this wonderful community. The CB is an incredable place, and you do so much for us by running it and making everything go smoothly. I am so glad I found this.
Also, to my fellow Cbers. Thank you all for making this place be the place it is today. You are are so great and talented and incredable.

Wow! I had no idea the CB celebrated a birthday! Well, happy birthday and many, many more! Wow, so the CB is older than some of the CBers now. I'm so glad I found this place, where I can meet amazing people from different places. Its inspired me to try to seriously write something and I've seen so much awesome stuff on here. The vast majority of interactions here are so kind and positive. I'm really thankful that this exists and of course a HUGE thank you to the admins!

Happy Birthday Chatterbox! I’m so glad I found the CB. It an amazing place. I hope the CB stays around for an infinite amount of generations.
I liked the Blue Moon ice cream Admin story. Please be careful next time though. Do any of the other Admins have nicknames? How many Admins are there? I am so glad you are here. I wouldn’t have joined the CB without you, Admins. Thank you for reading all our storys, poems, posts, etc. It makes me feel safe being on the CB.
Thank you to all the wonderfull Chatterboxers — the old ones, and the new ones — who have shaped the CB in to what it is today. I love how supportive and welcoming the CB is. Excepting eachother for each one’s differences, and loving eachother for them.
I think only Blue Moon Admin has an "official" nickname. There are 3 of us right now, although sometimes there are more or less depending on the year. We're so glad that you all are a part of Chatterbox, too! --admin

Thank you for answering my questions! I would have thought there would be more than three Admins. Most everyone on Chatterbox go by nicknames, I think the Admins should have nicknames too (other than Admin). You are also part of Chatterbox.

even though ive only been here for a little, the CB is a wonderful place and i have clearly grown from it. my writing skills are evolving. i am learning to expand with new things and stuff.
and im actually making friends, which is rare :l
