Does anyone want
Does anyone want to try another Harry Potter RP? I'm thinking... After Harry, so we could sort of play around with the rebuilding of Hogwarts?

@Elizabeth M: So could that be me? :)
Sorry this is super short.
Philomena--
After saying my good-byes to Mum, I board the train, and walk up and down looking for an empty car, but with no such luck. I'm just about to brace myself to spend the ride listening to first years yammering on and on when I hear yelling coming from a car nearby. I change direction and walk toward the sound. And just my luck, I walk right in to a wizard duel in the making.

Adrina Higgs had a very clingy family. She supposed it was due mostly to all the madness that had happened last year, but it was still bloody annoying. At last she managed to shake them off and get onto the train, only to almost run into a girl with short purple hair who had frozen in front of a compartment. Adrina glanced over the girl's shoulder and saw what had frightened her; another two students preparing to duel and glowering towards the entrance.
"Sorry, am I interrupting something?" Adrina didn't bother to hide the sarcastic lilt in her voice as she leaned past the purple-haired girl. The other students, one of whom she recognized from her own house, stared back at her, startled, their duel momentarily forgotten.
The Slytherin (was it Kyle? Clay? …Caleb?) frowned at her slightly. "No, not at all," he said, with such viscous sarcasm that Adrina almost snickered.
"Excellent," Adrina said brightly. "I'll leave you to it, then. Oh…" Over her shoulder she added, "And correct that dueling stance. You'd be blown over in a stiff wind. Good day!"
The girl with the purple hair tried to say something as she left, but Adrina ignored her.
Adrina couldn't help but smirk as she threaded her way through the increasingly-less-crowded corridor. It occurred to her that maybe she should have tried to stop them; she was at least a year older than the Slytherin bloke and she supposed that meant she was the Responsible Party, as mother would have said. Adrina didn't care; it wasn't as if a couple of third years could do much damage to each other anyway, and there were actual prefects roaming around.
Adrina found a compartment filled with nothing but first years and marched in confidently. "Clear out, you lot," she said, mimicking an expression she'd picked up from Alecto Carrow in Muggle Studies last year. The firsties scattered, and Adrina flopped onto the vacated seats with a smug grin.
No more Snape, no more Carrows, no more DA students getting tortured and ruining her breakfast, no more ridiculous curfews, no more Draco Malfoy strutting around bragging about his stupid Dark Mark, and no more Precious Potter for everyone to drool over… Oh yes, Adrina thought, this is going to be the best year ever.

Sorry I haven't been posting, I've been sick lately!

I opened the door to one of the only compartments that didn't look overly crowded and stepped inside. Instantly I sawa Gryffindor, a Slytherin, and Eimhir, a fellow Ravenclaw. The Gryffindor, I think her name was Monika, and the Slytherin, Kale, I believe, were standing up, wands out. I sighed. Put a Gryffindor and a Slytherin in the same compartment and this was bound to happen. "Hey, guys!" I said rather louder than needed. "Hey, Brendan," Eimhir said in her usual quiet way, and Kale and Monika put their wands away. "Hey." Kale and Monika said in unison. I sat down on the bench after swinging my bags up to the luggage rack. "So...how was your summers?" I asked awkwardly. "Good, good," People chorused.
Gah, sorry that wasn't very good, I just woke up. -.-

((I'm operating under the assumption that this is set in the year following the Dark Lord's defeat, per ZB's original suggestion. If we're not, feel free to Internet-slap me.))

TNÖ, just wondering...
Well, how can Annie be Luna's niece if Luna's still at school. She and Ginny would be in 7th year if it happened like that.
Just saying, ye ken. You probably already know this...
(January 29, 2012 - 6:30 pm)
Well even if Luna was done with Hogwarts, she couldn't be her niece because Luna doesn't have siblings. She could be Luna's niece by marriage, but Luna doesn't get married right away. She goes looking for crumple horned snorkaks before she marrys Newt Scamendar's grandson, right? It doesn't have to be exactly accurate, though.
(January 29, 2012 - 8:24 pm)
@Ena- Yes, that could be you. :)
But she wouldn't be married in her seventh year... I think Annie might have to change the whole Luna thing. Perhaps she could be someone else's niece.

Maybe I can be her cousin!
Spammy says teby. Toby? Tubby? I have to admit, I am a little heavy...
(January 31, 2012 - 11:08 am)
The boy named Cauliflower, or some other vegetable--Kale, was it? sat down heavily and glowered at me [I'm changing to first person, seems to work better in an RP]. Brendan Karnthy tried to make the atmosphere lighter, and as usual succeded. Kale and I were the only ones not roaring with laughter at his jokes as the train roared off and the station receded into the distance.
I felt horrible, my throat tight and inflamed with the spells I hadn't uttered. I had never attracted this much attention before, and though in the past I would have tried to follow Marian's example and shrug it off carelessly, I couldn't. Maybe it was Eimhir's innocent question about Marian that had set me off. It's never smart to get involved with humans, I could imagine Shi-zi breathing down my neck.
It wasn't just my imagination. Something was breathing down my neck. I reached up to the luggage rack and felt a hot and sticky nose. I looked up and saw her. She wasn't invisible anymore! Trapped beneath the heavy trunk that Brendan had plopped on the rack she was struggling, half hidden, to get free. Her amber eyes looked at me desperately, and I knew what I had to do. Nobody knew about her, and I had to keep it that way. I didn't want her to get hurt, so I only had one option...
I tapped Eimhir, sitting next to me, on the shoulder and under the cover of the laughter of Brendan and the purple haired girl who had slipped into the compartment, I whispered urgently into her ear. She frowned, but then she stood up and murmering something about the bathroom left.
The purple-haired girl I didn't know, and I didn't feel too much like warning Brendan or Kale. Call me cruel, but they really wouldn't be hurt that much. I surreptitiously pulled out my wand and stood up. The next few seconds were hard to recall. I had a glimpse of Kale, seeing me draw my wand, stand up also, but then I muttered a spell and there was a massive explosion. Shi-zi was literally blown onto my shoulders, in an burst of pain I saw red dripping from my shoulders and the luggage rack went flying in all directions.
The door burst open and Shi-zi, turning invisible as she leapt, jumped off my shoulders and raced down the corridor. The two cats shot yowling down the corridor and the three other people and I inside were thrown onto their faces in the corridor, as pieces of luggage flew over our heads.
In the relative quiet that followed the massive boom, I pulled my self off the ground and almost fell back down, dizzy. I heard whimpering and saw the purple haired girl next to me on her back, shocked and covered in dust but unhurt. Kale and I, nearest to the luggage rack, took the brunt of it--I saw him nursing a swollen teeth and I felt the blood on my shoulders.
People were pouring out, buzzing with shock. I heard snippets of "Bomb in the train!" and "What's a bomb?" to "Someone blew themselves up!" "Is there a train wreck?"
I saw the girl with light brown hair who had criticized Kale's dueling stance peer past with interested eyes. Suddenly I had a flashback. Another explosion, another year, and Marian running, running through dark trees. I swam into the present and heard the train screeching to a stop. What had I gotten myself into? I never thought about the consequences.
(January 30, 2012 - 11:46 am)
Oh wow. "Swollen teeth!!" Oops....that was supposed to be "swollen cheek". :P
(January 30, 2012 - 7:03 pm)
Yeah, cousin is a more accurate idea.
I guess that Monika is on Ginny's quidditch team then (?)
(January 31, 2012 - 6:42 pm)
Hold on, so Ginny's still at Hogwarts? Sorry, haven't been paying attention. :( So yeah, Monika is a beater on the Gryffindor team. Do we have a Slytherin Quidditch team?
(February 2, 2012 - 7:51 pm)
Yes. I'm on it.
(February 2, 2012 - 9:13 pm)
Ok, I'm going to go ahead and reveal the secret...
This is pretty much what I've been doing while the other events took place so, sorry it's so long

I
weave through the crowd, trying to find an empty compartment. At last I find what I'm looking for, and with a mutter jump in, hoping with all
my heart that I could stay alone for the train ride. The corners of my
eyes are wet with tears. Hopefully this year won't be like the last
one. I hope so desperately that maybe this time no.... no accidents
will happen. My hand instincitvely reaches up to grasp the crystal
strung around my neck at the thought. The other kids . . . they will all
go on with their normal activities, they only see the surface. Those
that have the eye to dig deeper, I must avoid. I can't afford to have
anyone know my secret. Slowly rubbing the crystal with my thumb, I
start to mutter a few words under my breath, slowly, the crystal becomes
clearer. This is my reminder that I am different from all the people
on this train. There, in the center of the clear crystal, is a large
scale. But this scale is not ordinary. This is one from the legendary
snake, Nagini. This is my secret. I am a descendent of the Dark Lord.
Voldemort, You Know Who. My only link to my past. I was left alone by
my parents and am now adopted by a pureblood family. They are good to
me, still predujuced as all are these days. Dwelling on these thoughts
for a while, i stare out the window, grateful that I had this rare
moment of peace, something almost unheard of on the Hogwarts train.
Something fuzzy brushes up against my leg. I jump back in surprise,
then a warm smile crosses my face. I had forgotten about Paka, my cat. He jumps onto my lap and I allow myself to relax into the seat. Suddenly, the car shakes and both Paka and I sit bolt upright at the sound. Sighing, I think that it's probably just some of those students that I avoid, for reasons that I stated earlier. And maybe Brendan. I know him... Well, if my assumptions are correct, then it was just a remark someone made, next thing you know, people are pointing wands. There might be a bit of blood, and maybe curses, but among third and fourth years, nothing compared to what I know, what I have seen. Let them carry on with their games... I have worse things on my mind.

Capatcha says womb..... Ok then....
(February 2, 2012 - 10:32 pm)
So... you're related to Voldy? How? Is that.... possible?
By the way, to those who don't know (TNÖ probably does): Harry and Voldy are related.
