Star Trek TNG

Star Trek TNG

Has anyone seen Star Trek The Next Generation?  I LOVE it!!!  my mom is a Trekie and bought all the seasons, and I've been watching them nonstop every spare minute I have!  My favorite characters are Lt. Commander Data, Commander First Officer William Riker, Counselor Deanna Troi, and, of course, Captain Jean-Luc Picard.  Well, to be frank, I love everyone!   What is your favorite species?  I think my favorite is... I don't know, I'm fine with everyone, except the Borg.

Space, the unexplored, these are the adventures of the starship Enterprise, our mission?  To explore new worlds.                                                                              -Captain Picard

Haha I love TNG. Great characters all around; I don't like Troi very well, but everyone else is awesome. Including Q. And Worf. And Data [squee! He's so awesome!] and Picard and Riker and so on. It's cool. :)

Dear Lavendershy,

I love The Next Generation too!  I'm glad you like Q.    He is interesting:)

I agree with you, everyone is amazing.  They are all fantastic actors and actresses, and played their parts terrifically.

Did you know that during the first six weeks of production, Mr. Patrick Stuart, who plays the wonderful Captain, didn't unpack his bags, because he thought they were going to fire him!!!

Isn't that funny, especially because he is so amazing.  Who is your most favorite character?

Dear Elizabeth,

In answer to your earlier question, Wesley is Wesley Crusher.  Son of Dr. Crusher and her late husband Jack Crusher.  He is such a genius, he is the youngest ensign ever. He failed his entry exam to Starfleet Academy the first time, but he lost to a Benzoid, really really smart.

Stargazer, I saw this thread and literally screamed! :D I LOVVVVVE TNG!! It's amazing!!

My favorite characters are... Crusher, Picard, Riker, Troi, Data, and... And just about anyone else who is one the show :

Wouldn't it be fun to do a RP of this?! Or just make a story using th characters! :) I soo call Crusher. :) I think she's really pretty and she's probably who I'd want to be if I could choose... Also, it makes me so sad that Crusher and Picard never got together :( **SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE STAR TREK: INSURRECTION** Troi and Riker got to get married, and Crusher and Picard were perrrfect for each other! I make me sadddd!!

Have you ever heard Data's "Lifeforms Song"? It's in one of the movies (Nemesis, I think...) and it's hilarious! You should look it up if you haven't seen it!!

We should definitely do a RP or story on here! Ooooh, please please please agreeee! :)

Emma out.

:)

Dear Emma,

Nice to hear from you!  I'm so glad you enjoy Star Trek as well.

The reason why Beverly and the Captain never 'got together' is for the simple reason that the producers and writers wanted the Captain to be 'available.'  As well as it might seem... uncomfortable, if the Captain was married to one of his crew.  It would lead to unecesary emotional attatchments that would hinder story plots.

I love Data's singing. "LIfe Forms"  is actually from Generations.  The only TNG movie I've seen.   He sings Blue skies at Will and Deanna's wedding, doesn't he?  I haven't actually seen the movies and I don't plan to.  I watch bits on Youtube, though my dad owns all of them on Blueray.  *MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER!!!!*  Data, my second favorite character, Dies!!!   I couldn't bear to watch it, even though he does it to save the Captain, my favorite character.

Role Playing sounds like fun.. but what is it?  I mean, how do you do it?

This is sorta related  to the comment about how Patrick Stewart thought they were going to fire him (which is ridiculous!), it's just another random fact, but do you know the episode "Remember Me"? It's a big Bev Crusher featuring episode and it's really good. Anyway, right before that episode, like just days before they shot it, Gates McFadden (the actress who plays B.C.) found out she was pregnant! And she even did her own stunt work in the episode! Oh, and also, Gates' real name is Cheryl Gates McFadden, so when she's working and a choreographer and/or dancer, credits say "Cheryl McFadden", but as an actress she was known as Gates!

Dear Emma,

I remember that!  Yes, that was something.  And, did you know that Brent Spiner (Data) is the Godfather of James Cleveland McFadden-Talbot?  Her son?

Did you also know, that when she auditioned, or was chosen, they had three roles.  She asked, "Which one is the funniest"  They gave her Dr. Crusher.  I swear.  The scene she read was from The Naked Now, a really weird episode, I would not advise anyone watch it.  Weird!  Well, Gates read it (Bev was under the power of a toxin and was acting really flirty)  and she thought it was funny.   Turns out it was one of the only funny scenes she had in the whole seven seasons!!!

Gates was also a muppeteer for Jim Henson.  Cool, right?  Who doesn't like Jim Henson?
