Welcome to the Sunbeam Inn!
Need a break from life? Preferably somewhere comfortable? We've got you covered! With plush rooms, state-of-the-art television, and, of course, lots of popcorn, the Sunbeam Inn has all you could need, and more! Hang out at our pristine pool (that definitely isn't just a hole in the ground filled with dirty water), borrow the latest from our library (that totally isn't a dusty bathroom filled with books in the toilet bowl), and shop at our exclusive candy shop (which of course isn't just a bowl filled with our expired chocolate, now why would you think that, certainly not because we told you so!), and more! Escape from everything, the right way!
We look forward to seeing you here,
Luxury & Contentment
P.S., beware the dragon. She's been in a mood.
We will be accepting a maximum of 12 CBers.

Day 3, part 3
GloomyBear rubbed her head, feeling dizzy. Lillagwaith - another newcomer, and hopefully the last one as the front doors had disappeared now - was sprawled on the couch in the Great Room, as she had been for the last hour. She refused to wake up, but at least she was breathing, her chest rising and falling in slow motions. Gloomy couldn't help remembering that today was the third day since the Game had started, and that that meant that someone else was going to die today. Unless they could somehow do something to stop it.
Gloomy looked at Lillagwaith, mentally willing her not to die. Gloomy knew that some of the others suspected she was the murderer, but as cool as that sounded, in reality Gloomy really didn't want her friends to die. And she hadn't even gotten to know Lillagwaith that well (yet.. she hoped), but she didn't want the girl on the couch dying either. Couldn't they just have a normal vacation?
Riley had gone up to fetch Luxury and Contentment (well, probably just Contentment) - it had been decided that xe stood the best chance of getting her downstairs - and everyone else was gathered in the Great Room, solemnly counting out whatever points people had gotten from the scavenger hunt. It had been cut short by Silver's scream, but pangolin, determined to have at least some fun while trapped in this prison, had insisted that they still count out the points. Moon Wolf won: she had untied her shoelace as something that you can tie, and had stolen a spoon from the kitchen, which acted as her something that can be a mirror. She'd tried using an eraser as something that bounces - erasers are rubber! was her reasoning. And rubber balls bounce! - but that didn't really work out. However, Moon Wolf had also decided to categorize herself as "something you can bounce", and, bouncing herself across the room, nobody could really argue with that. For the "something you can wear as a sock ", she held up her... sock.
Sometime between Lillagwaith's faint and the gather of everyone in the Great Room, a wolfhound -- "Huan" Lillagwaith had seemed to mutter, once, unconsciously -- had appeared, and now he was nuzzled under Lillagwaith's arm, keeping a careful watch over her.

I've really got to stop writing this only when I'm super tired and my brain's asleep and my fingers keep tying typos cuz they're tired too if I want better quality but nope-

Day 3, part 4
Hawkstar was gathered in the Great Room with the others, watching Lillagwaith and Huan. Riley had yet to come back with Contentment, and the CBers weren't really sure what else to do. Moon Wolf had gone to get popcorn, and had brought back a bottle of chocolate as well, and this Hawkstar squeezed onto her popcorn with gusto. She leaned back against the couch and put her feet on the table, wiggling her toes. She wondered if she could squirt chocolate all over her feet and let them solidify. What would it be like to eat chocolate molds of your own feet? Hawkstar sighed, stuffing a fistful of more-chocolate-than-popcorn into her mouth. She was so bored that these were the best thoughts she could come up with?
"Well!" she said, louder than necessary, standing up in her own effort to shake the tone of apathy from the room. "I for one need a change of scenery. Anyone else wanna go to the library with me?"
Pangolin had been one of the first to follow Hawkstar to the library -- though she were hesitant about leaving Lillagwaith behind, Gloomy said she'd keep a good watch over her, and plus there was Huan, so they didn't think there was much harm in leaving. Plus, there was something she wanted to investigate at the library. Something didn't feel... quite right. Dreams and illusions, she thought nonsensically, but shook it off. The sooner they got to the library, the sooner they'd get answers.
BookGirl flopped into an armchair across from Gloomy, blowing out the air in her mouth. "So..." she said, then stopped, not knowing what to say. Just then, Contentment came down the stairs, Riley right behind her. Gloomy jumped up from her spot staring absentmindedly at the floor. "Contentment!" she yelled. "You're finally here! What took you so long?"
Contentment sighed. "Gloomy, everyone," she said, addressing the room. "I'm sorry I wasn't down sooner like I said I would be. I just... I couldn't face you guys. After what I'd done. I really sincerely hope you guys don't die," she said, looking at each CBer in the room in turn. And then she screamed.
Gloomy was lying facedown on the floor, a throwing knife in her back. The other CBers followed Contentment's gaze, and fell silent. BookGirl shakily walked over to Gloomy, turned her over, felt her pulse. She nodded at the others. Dead.
The CBers in the library went blissfully unaware at first. Hawkstar leafed through a particularly intriguing book, then opened to the first page to start from the beginning. Pangolin walked next to her, looking around the library from clues. Dreams and illusions, came the thought again. Pangolin tried to push it out of her mind. They needed her mind clear. Think, pangolin, think! they told herself. Dreams and illusions, think, dreams and illusions, pangolin, think, dreams and illusions, someone is dead..," the last thought came with sudden revelation. A shock to her system, cold water, dunked. Someone is dead. There is no sunlight in the library, pangolin suddenly remembered. No windows. Dreams and illusions. Windows. Someone is dead.
They turned to Hawkstar and the others, horror in their eyes. "Someone else is dead. And I think I know who's behind it."

Day 3, part 5
Contentment stared with rising horror at the body of Gloomy. She knew this was all a part of the Game, and that playing the Game was necessary if they wanted to keep the Inn open, but suddenly she wished that she and Lux hadn't agreed to play it. That, in fact, they hadn't taken that writhing mass of darkness from the void to begin with. What has they been thinking? Where had it all gone wrong? Contentment felt an urge to flee up the stairs again, to run away like she always did when things got bad. She had never been particularly brave. The brave one had been Luxury, the oldest. And Contentment hadn't realized how Luxury had been breaking before it was too late.
If the bravest one of them couldn't take this, how could she?
But she saw the fear on all the CBer's faces, the fear on Riley's face, and she knew she couldn't leave them again. She had sentenced them to this Game. So she resolved, right there and then, that whatever happened, she would also stay. She would be here for these CBers. She would pay the price for her and Luxury's mistakes -- Luxury wasn't in a state where they could face this, so Contentment would. She was still far from brave; she knew she wasn't facing her fears by staying here with the CBers. Just evading her sense of guilt. But yes, she would stay.
Besides, Riley had stayed. It seemed Contentment hadn't given her twin enough credit for being able to do the hard things. Xe was stronger than she had known.
Just then, the sound of pounding footsteps came down the stairs, and the CBers who had gone up to the library burst into the room.
"Who was it?" huffed Hawkstar, out of breath, but then she caught sight of Gloomy on the floor. "No..." she dropped to her knees.
"Contentment?" asked pangolin, noticing their host.
"Yes. From now on, I'm staying," Contentment said, forcing herself to meet pangolin's eyes. Surprisingly, they didn't look accusatory. Just... scared. And determined.
ahh gtg bye!-

Edit: The brave one had been Luxury. The oldest. Of course, Contentment hadn't realized how even Luxury has been breaking; not until it was too late.
Edit: actually a lot of things need editing and I can't put them into the exact words I want right now so the above will do in the meantime :)
Edit: Just then, the pounding of footsteps came down the stairs, and the CBers who had gone up to the library burst into the room.
