Exquisite Corpse: Poetry Edition
Welcome one and all budding poets! For those of you who don't know what an exquisite corpse is, it's basically a Round Robin :) Anyways, I thought it'd be cool to start one of these here after seeing it on the Slam; the rules are pretty simple:
1) Each person posts one line of a poem (and one line only!). At the end, I'll put all of the lines together and post it here.
2) Please wait for the person before you's post to show up; it makes things a lot less confusing
3) Round robins generally last (almost) forever, but I think that it'd be nice to cut a poem off at some point, so this 'round' will run from December 1- 31.
4) Have fun!
Whomever posts first can start the poem :)
I love this game! Have fun :)

Oooh! This looks cool! Here's a random line to start us off!
Once upon a winter's eve I found myself dreaming
(November 28, 2017 - 3:21 pm)
(November 29, 2017 - 12:13 am)
of birds and blossoms, of times long past
----------------
Hope it's not cheating that that's two things in one line, and also I hope I didn't start to early.

Oh, sorry! I just realized that you said we'd go from December 1 to 31! We can forget about my post if you want.

Top!
(December 2, 2017 - 9:43 pm)
lost but found; i could never tell
~~~
Applejaguar and Leeli, it's perfectly fine!
(December 3, 2017 - 5:52 pm)
the mirages from the real world, my afterimage hallucinations
---
I hope this is okay. I've always wanted to do one of these, thanks for making this thread!
(December 4, 2017 - 10:50 pm)
float in my head as if they know they aren't real but they want to be
(December 5, 2017 - 5:34 pm)
As real as the
flakes of snow on my upturned face, there one second gone
the next
(I'm counting this as one line XD)
(Mudge says drie. XD)
(December 6, 2017 - 9:12 pm)
i wish i could catch them so i could know it wasn't all just a dream but
(December 7, 2017 - 10:19 am)
as soon as they fall in my hand, they melt, just like my visions of something better
(December 7, 2017 - 10:57 am)
Wishes that just don't come true
(December 7, 2017 - 8:33 pm)
like you were;
a wish that melted as quickly as the spiraling snow but
left me burning for a while
(December 7, 2017 - 10:35 pm)
I suppose it's pointless now to reminisce when all it does is spread the ache
(December 8, 2017 - 1:26 pm)
My cold heart is
so
unlike the warm flame in my fireplace
so
unlike yours
---------------------
I'm sorry if that counts as more than one verse! I could've done it shorter, but I liked the way the line breaks made it feel.
