Six Word Stories!
Chatterbox: Pudding's Place
Six Word Stories!
Six Word Stories!
~~~
Hemingway once came up with a challenge to tell a story in six words. I think it's a great creativity exercise, so let's see what you come up with!
His example is, "For sale: Baby shoes, never worn."
Read it again.
Doesn't it give you chills?
Flight is grounding from the ground
No matter where, loss of aspects
Fight fire with stick and marshmallow
Not a mouth has never lied
Eyes see; so do great minds
Mirrors are false, mirrors are true,
It depends on what you ask,
But also who has asked you.
Love is blind of the eye,
The heart can only see it.
Destiny ends and starts with life,
Destiny may springs anew among death,
So no light is turned off.
Death is life, life is death
For you are never ever alone,
You have heart, mind, eyes, body.
They aren't alone--inside is you.
Please don't ever answer your phone;
Things I regret are also lessons.
"'Will you?' 'I do' Still true"
I feel like what makes Hemingway's better is that it could be a real sentence and that it tells a story much bigger than the one it says explicitly. So I made this one, inspired by Mirax. It doesn't have the story aspect as much, but it could be a real sentence.
"He died, that's why she's grieving."
Books are gates into other worlds.
Maybe today was a great day!
A lie is the truth bended.
A happy face emoji popped up.
A dreamer keeps a-dreaming ages on.
We will move this world along.
The moon shining down on me.
Take time to smell the roses.
Let us sing, dance, and smile!
I was trying to do interesting, sad things like everyone else, but I ended up with some random stuff and two different song quotes. I had to add a moon one for my CB name, which got me: "The moon shining down on me." I'm going to go check out other posts, so bye!
Why am I writing this, Admins?
You put a comma after dearest.
Twelve months, three hundred sixty-five days.
The mosquitoes were completely, insanely, annoying.
Like them? The mosquitoes one was elaborating on one of my previous ones.
He stared. She glared. He ran.
Blood ran though the streets. Death.
I know these are stupid.
