ART POSTING

(Subject not going through....Third time's the charm...??)

Art stuff thread starting...NOW!  If you draw stuff, you can post it here! I draw in a sort of anime/manga/toon style, but if you don't, don't let that stop you from posting your stuff!  I would love to see other people's art so post away!  They can be OCs, fan art, or just random stuff.  You can use any media, including digital, like I do!  Just to let you chatterboxers know, I started this thread so we can share our tricks of the trade with each other.  Feel free to: ask questions about how to draw certain things, post techniques, share art, and mostly HAVE FUN!  If you draw your OCs, feel free to share information about them such as their names and that sort of thing.  Same goes for fan art since not all of us know where these characters are from.  You don't have to be polished with your art.  I myself am just a beginner at anime/manga/toon.  I'm not good at hands so if any of my hands looks particularly cruddy, you know why.  I also struggle sometimes with feet so same goes for that.  If any of you know how to draw a particularly good hand or foot, feel free to share your trick for it.

Going to post a picture of my OC, Tuxedo, if this post goes through okay.

Is photography allowed? Or is there a separate thread here for that?

Yes, photos are allowed as long as they don't have people in them. There are at least one or two photography contest threads somewhere on Chatterbox. Participants set a new theme every so often, then judge the entries, and the winner gets to name a new theme.

Thank you for letting me know :) Anyway, most of my photographs are dolls interacting with inanimate objects sitting in my hand or something like that. My hand is allowed, right?

This is kinda a before and after photo of one of my favorite old drawings. The bottom one I drew about a year ago (And I thought it was absolutely amazing), and the top is a remake of it.

I've been changing up my style of drawing faces, actually following a sort of technique and stuff. Like sketching the shape behind it first, and the grid lines, and all that. I think they came out cute...

I'm also working on a digital one the same way. And I'm planning on using a scan of a pencil one to create a digital version eventually.

Also, masks. I like masks. Half-masks. Bandannas. Whatchamacallit.

And I'm talking in fractured sentences that fall apart, like I'm drunk or something. I'm not. I think.

Thanks! And also...

Coyote. Those are amazing! That’s an amazing way to draw it! I should try it out sometime.. is it hard?

Na, I found it pretty easy! You should totally try it!

Here are some over-complicated instructions!

First I draw two vertical parallel to decide the width of the face. Then I curve down from the bottom and up around, over the top, to shape the face. Then I draw cross-lines. The eyes will usually go on or just below the horizontal cross-line, so plan ahead. Continue drawing a grid of horizontal and vertical lines, and make sure they curve to show the shape of the face. Then start drawing the features. I usually start with the eyes and ears, since the rest of the features are proportionate to those. After the features, draw the hair. I use the grid guidelines to keep it orderly. When shading hair, make sure to share with the flow of the hair. And then draw the neck and shoulders. Remember that the neck flows down from below the ears.

Yeah, this sounds way too complicated. I hope it helps, though. It’s fun.
