ART POSTING
(Subject not going through....Third time's the charm...??)
Art stuff thread starting...NOW! If you draw stuff, you can post it here! I draw in a sort of anime/manga/toon style, but if you don't, don't let that stop you from posting your stuff! I would love to see other people's art so post away! They can be OCs, fan art, or just random stuff. You can use any media, including digital, like I do! Just to let you chatterboxers know, I started this thread so we can share our tricks of the trade with each other. Feel free to: ask questions about how to draw certain things, post techniques, share art, and mostly HAVE FUN! If you draw your OCs, feel free to share information about them such as their names and that sort of thing. Same goes for fan art since not all of us know where these characters are from. You don't have to be polished with your art. I myself am just a beginner at anime/manga/toon. I'm not good at hands so if any of my hands looks particularly cruddy, you know why. I also struggle sometimes with feet so same goes for that. If any of you know how to draw a particularly good hand or foot, feel free to share your trick for it.
Going to post a picture of my OC, Tuxedo, if this post goes through okay.

More Podcast Art.

The art is great, I especially love how you drew his legs! What podcast is this from?

This is a really horribly bad drawing of a sea wing from wings of fire the book.
(April 12, 2018 - 6:31 pm)
That is not a horribly bad drawing at all. It's incredible. Unfortunately, it looks nearly identical to many the google images that come up when you search 'seawing wings of fire'. Like the one below (which I have screenshotted). Whoever you are, for this reason, I have trouble believing you really drew this. I don't know why you would take an image from the internet and claim to have drawn it yourself, and I'm not upset at you for it in the least. But plagiarism is very serious, and I hope you understand that and won't do this again in the future. Remember, everyone makes mistakes, and none of us will be mad at you, but please only post art of your own next time. :)
There was more to the comment that came with the drawing in question. I don't remember exactly what it said, but it may have been to the effect that the submitter made it with some program with which I was not familiar. Since I didn't have time to check into the unfamiliar program or website, I deleted that sentence. What you say about plagiarism is true, but I don't think it applies to this drawing. Much computer art looks similar to others.

i see what you mean Leeli, but I was looking at that very picture to draw it. If you look closely there are a few mistakes that make it look less like that image. Anyways I swear I would NEVER copy someone else’s art. Though with the mistakes I suppose a artist always sees there own flaws more then others. But I do see why you would think I had done that. I just hope you will believe me when I say I didn’t.
farewell,
Embarressed.

Ah, I see. I'm sorry. Maybe I was a bit hasty. I just get concerned whenever these kinds of things happen. I do see how the images differ, though they are only subtle differences. The art is incredible, by the way, and far better than anything I could ever do.

What are you talking about?? That is amazing! It looks just like the illustrations from the books! That's so good. What don't you like about it?
(April 12, 2018 - 8:44 pm)
Thanks, what I don’t like is if you look closely you can see slight flaws, such as the tail is slightly off. Thanks for you’re support!!
farewell,
Embarresed

Embarrassed, I get that to you mistakes may be more evident in your art than to us, but . . .
Don't be embarrassed about this piece. Just don't.
If I saw that picture anywhere, I'd think it was done by a professional, or at least someone who's been drawing for at least seven years (that was oddly specific but I'm proving a point). It's absolutely gorgeous and amazingly detailed; that must have taken a lot of patience. I wouldn't say this is something to be embarrassed about. In fact, it's something to be proud of.
Oh! And just as a note. If you don't like a piece you've made, never label it as "bad," no matter how bad it may be. Label it as a learning experience. Keep in mind what you'd like to improve. If you can, fix things. And always make sure to look for the good as well. Because it's never healthy to put yourself down - and certainly not with something as lovely as that. <3
