SOCS Costume Ball

SOCS Costume Ball

I'm making this thread because it was agreed that someone should. It's for the costume ball that's being held by the SOCS, possibly the SOCS Army. I believe those who may attend are those who are in or allied with the SOCS and those in the town(s) directly surrounding the location of the ball. A specific place was not decided on to my knowledge, so if anyone has any ideas for that, please post them here. The thread can also be used for planning, ball-related art, out-of-charrie discussions and of course, ball RPs.

I think that's it, so... Let the posting commence!

Welcome, Dee! There's no General Lark that I'm aware of, but I suppose you could make him a slightly lower-ranked officer if you wanted. Alexandria would probably know him, though. Sorry, I'm not really anyone to say. May I ask, are you new to Kyngdom?

I know Ronan posted, but it's not showing up yet. I'll check back later.

Everything has been madness recently. The ball exploded and Catastrophe seems to be angry. Don't ask how I know. Is it just me, or are more and more parrarells being constantly drawn between me and that madman?

Claaws said I looked like him. So what if I do?

Catastrophe seems to always want to murder me.

Never mind that. Off to find my lost friends with little wizard. Again.

"Homini revalare!" yells the little man. No one appears.

I sigh. How long will it take for us to get an organized army?

The thick snow won't help.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We've been walking for hours and hours, not really going anywhere, just scouring the place.
"Ya fink dey wus takin' ov? 'tastrophe wud be likin' a turturein'. Git sum of dat infermashin fer 'imself."
"No, I can sense people near us. Or something..."
Then the world falls in on itself.
I hear a cold, crisp voice squawk. "Argh!"
I open my eyes and see a bright red bird sitting in front of me.
She seems to be looking me over carefully, as if she's had bad experience with humans.
Then I realize we're underground. We'd stepped on a loose piece of earth covered in moss, and had fallen down into a shallow burrow. I could see the sky above us, and reckoned we couldn't have fallen more then five feet.
Then I smile, still flat on my back. "Rabbicus?"
"Yezzir!"
"You know that old proverb, 'if there's a twisting path, you follow it?'"
"Mor er lezzir."
"Well, this burrow might be big enough for a lot of people..."
Little wizard instantly gets the meaning of my words. "Yez, surr!"
"I'm going to find some animals like mice. Do you know mice about these parts?"
"Mise's everywere, dey is-"
"I mean do you actually know some?"
"Yez!"
He quickly tells me how to find the biggest and most influential mouse family this side of Meek Peak.
And like that, recruiting for our army-as well as a base-are as good as taken care of.
The girl in the cell beside me is sleeping, but someone else near my cell. I slowly turn and then jerk up, realizing Shadow is looking at me through the glass.
I roll my eyes and lay back down.
"Still not getting over it, are you?" she asks.
I see the girl in the other cell stir.
I slowly get up and walk over to Shadow.
We look at each other through the glass.
"Would you?" I ask.
She pauses. "No. Can I get you anything?"
I scoff. "Cat girl will probably blow your head off if you do."
"Who, Mina?" she asks. "Oh, she's not really like that. She just has...grudges against your side."
"Then she'll have to get in line," I mutter.
Suddenely, I hear the scream of a girl. Shadow hears it too.
"What was that?" I ask.
"I don't know," Shadow replies.
She then types in the code to the pad by the door of my cell, and the doors open.
She smiles. "Wanna come help me check it out?"
I jerk awake. The screams fade into the distance, becoming a shadow of a noise. Sighing, I roll over. You heard screams all of the time.
Then a movement catches my eye. It was Alexandria, with the older girl with wings. I slowly walk over to the door of my cell.
Alexandria sees me and nudges the girl next to her. She sees me and walks over.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Dee. Lieutenant Larks daughter. The one you imprisioned." I sense confusion, then understanding, then finally guilt.
"Oh. Sorry 'bout that. Do you want to come with us? We are investigating the scream," she replies. Without waiting for an answer she opens the lock, punching in the code. As she did so she mutters something about Sprocket and killing her.
Finally my door slides open and I walk out. The thought of running went into my head, but I knew it was pointless. Besides, I was getting some extreme apprehension from shadow, and Alexandria seemed normal.
"It's probably Hyla down the hall. She has screaming bouts sometimes that keep her up." shadow looks at me weird but keeps walking. I follow, wondering what would happen next.
I changed my dad to a lieutenant. Is that OK? And I have been on Kyngdom for a while.
Yeah, that's good. You and Alexandria should probably ask shadow about her letting you out of your cells, though.
Do you have any other charries? Or do you not want to tell?
I hear a slight rustle behind my door, so I get up and walk over to it.
I perk up my ears, and on the other side I can hear voices. Three, to be exact.
I suddenely open the door, and the people look at me wide-eyed.
It's Shadow, and the other two are prisoners.
"What do you think you're doing?" I exclaim at Shadow.
"Going to check out some screaming we heard, why?" she replies.
I scoff. "I'm glad you can take it so casually. Now if you don't mind, Resistance's Most Wanted needs to get back to her little cell."
Shadow grits her teeth. "The 'Resistance's Most Wanted,' is my sister, and she was just coming with me."
"She needs to go back to her cell, Shadow," I snap. "She's dangerous as long as she's out of it!"
Shadow looses it. "Look, give her a chance, will you? And I mean, just as I was starting to think that you guys trusted me, you can't even trust me with my own sister."
"While she's still here, you treat her like a prisoner. Do you know how many people she's killed?" I hiss.
"She didn't know any better!" Shadow yells.
"That doesn't matter!" I shout back. "Take her back or I will."
"You won't touch a hair on her head, Mina," Shadow replies, a dangerous growl in her throat.
I glare at Shadow and grab Alexandria's arm.
Shadow shoves me against the wall.
"I SAID YOU WON'T TOUCH A HAIR ON HER HEAD!"
I dodge Shadow and go for Alexandria again, but this time Shadow punches me.
I look at her in shock, but then side kick her, making her madder.
Pretty soon we're hand-to-hand, when she kicks me against the wall. I look up and see the emergency alarm button.
I look back at Shadow as she draws back her fist.
I inhale sharply and push the buttom, and alarms go off, signaling an escaped prisoner.
They've locked me in one of the cells they use to keep dangerous prisoners in. They've even tagged the outside. Three red bars. Anyone else would not have known what they meant, but I've been working here long enough that I do. Traitor.
The door opens and a cat comes up to me. Mina. She stares at me through the glass. Pity, shock. Sadness.
"Why did you do it, shadow?" she asks
"Mina, do you remember when you saw Leva again?"
She nods, so I continue.
"You were still Ravage then, but despite the fact that she was your enemy, you wanted her to be safe. She was your younger sister. When they shot her, you felt the pain as if it was your own."
Shenods again.
"Well, that's how I feel about Alexandria. I lost my brother. I lost my parents. I'm not losing her."
She nods, and she's halfway out the door when I speak again.
"Oh, and Mina?" I say. She stops to listen.
"What?" She asks.
"I'm sorry I punched you."
Wait, we do have phones in Kyngdom. Remember, Charlie sent some pictures from his cell phone back in the Power of Claw threads?
Or was it the Power of Fin? Might have been Wing. Or both. I'm not sure.
slipping quietly down to the dungeons I walk up to Shadows cell. Pulling out a lock picking set, I start to open it.
"What ar you doing?!?!" She asked, bewildered.
"i think that would have been obvious, I'm getting you out."
"Why? Everyone else thinks I'm a traitor." She said glumly.
"Sprocket and I don't agree with Mina." I explain, "I'm taking you up to meet with sprocket and I. Hopefully we can smooth this all over."
i step back as the door swings open. Shadow and I then run up through the dungeons, through the hallways, and into Sprockets room.
"Quick" said Sprocket, "shut the door, the last thing we need is Mina coming along and making assumptions."
"Wait!" I say, just before we leave. I go back into the cell and move my hands over the place I was resting. I hope this works. I close my eyes and envision the forest. Beautiful trees, calm rivers. The birds chirp and the squirrels scurry up the tree limbs. I hear a gasp from Trillian nad I know that I've done it. I open my eyes and see a bush has grown, in the exact shape of me. "There, now she won't be able to tell I'm gone."
Then we run out of the room.
Out of charrie
guys, I'm really sorry if giving shadow all these powers is OP. At first, I didn't know what that was, so I made her Angel of Death. Now that I do, I've been trying to even her powers out with her emotions, so that she's weaker on the inside. This means if someone had one of her friends with a gun pointed at them, she would sacrifice herself for the life of her friend. The only reason I'm using this power right now is because I mentioned it in an earlier post about shadow, when she was just learning about her abilities. I hadn't mentioned it in a while, but I thought maybe I ought to.
