SailHaven

(I will do an explaination, then people can add to the story.)

SailHaven is my home city. It is a floating city, with a network of tunnels, allowing crime syndicates to evolve. The scientists there mostly develop implants, like blades in arms, or wearable tech, like monicles with lenses for seeing in the dark and stuff like that. I got exiled after creating blades that could be installed in arms, but they worked like a cat's claws, and could be hidden completely. After several assassinations, they had to punish me for making them.

Well, actualy, I thought you could go escape, and tell Alexander what happened to SailHaven, and there could be a Scion v Bats battle.

Name: UB-01

Gender: none

speicies: intelligent nanobot (like the ones in Star Treck the Next Generation, seseon 3 episode 1, "evolution")

backround: my race was created by B.I.G., but desroyed becase we were uncontrolible. a few of us escaped.

fave form: i like to inhabit scyons, but any mechanichal machine will work.

i'm sitting on a wall, waiting for something to happen, since sailhaven crashed, there havn't been any talk shows on the radio. its been pretty boring without them.

suddenly i hear something next to me. there are four people, one of them has a metal arm.

hmmmm, i think. i know who that is.

i scutttle over to her and bite her arm. doing this transfers me from my favorite scyon, to her arm.

i slap her face to get her attention and use SSL (sailhaven sighn language) to sighn

your sproket, arn't you

P.S. i hope everyone likes the idea of this charrie, i thought it would be kinda cool for a twist in the story.

P.P.S. if anyone can guess where my name is from, my sibings and i will side with you on Kingdom

P.P.P.S. sorry about the face slaping, i ment no offense by it. it was the only way i could think of to get your attention.

I am sorry UB-01, but I don'the think this will work right now. I am being hunted right now and am in a place that you wouldn't be. I am sorry. Maybe once this whole thing blows over?

~Senator Faye

"Well tell the King that I don't care how busy he is, I need to talk to him!" I almost yell at Manning. "If he really cares about this criminal then he will postpone anything to get information.   People in high places will pay desperate prices to get what they want." I say as a sidenote. "And having as much power as King of Sailhaven.... well let's say that it can... tax... your resources. Mentally and physically." Manning nods. Servants can be very sympathetic creatures sometimes.       I sigh as he slowly pads off. Forced to use an out of date manual talking device, convince 3 secretaries to contact the king, then brushed off when I can finally send him a note. A very tiring day. But I'm not expecting him to remain in office very long. He is, after all, only a temporary regent while Sailhaven is under major attack. But while he is here, I am forced to negotiate with his half-crazy ideas. I'm tempted to wait before telling him about Sprocket. Maybe it could clear his mind. Or it could get me banished. And exile is not a variable I want in my plans. I sigh again. A very tiring day.

It's not hard to spot the flying city from the air.

Or shall I say, what's left of it.

Sailhaven looks exactly like how it was depicted in books-except, not. The large mechanical city is simply missing peices, and some neighborhoods are still on fire. I see the orange and blue flames enveloping  sections of the city, eating away at them as if they are potato chips. It looks as if a giant child had carelessly bashed and pulled apart pieces of the empire, leaving only fragments intact.

As I fly closer, I realize I've only seen the top of the brazen. The streets that aren't on fire are nearly abandoned, and trash, gears, and broken glass litter them. I hear a small noise, and suddenly realize there could be other people here. People who don't take kindly to she-mutants with giant bird wings coming and crashing their party.

I duck into an abandoned storefront. I hear more voices outside, and I'm glad I took cover when I did. Any later and I would have been dead (again). The voices become fainter, but I decide to stay inside. You can never be too careful.

Since I'll probably be here awhile, I look around. I think this was a junk shop. As I look through the drawers, my suspicions are confirmed. I start stocking up on supplies. Who else is gonna use it, right? I find a really nice leather backpack and start to fill it with items: a small, silver dagger, an empty vial, a few gold pieces, spare undies (hey, everyomne needs those!) and some other random gizmos I find.

I open a drawer and a weird metallic bug-thing scuttles out. A scion. I smash it with a hammer and watch as it's small silver body is crushed into spare parts.

I decide to take a break and go to sleep. That's enough searchiung for one day.

"Are you sure it's her?"

"My automatons are the best in Sailhaven. They can match a face from miles away, and thanks to the wanted posters, hers has been everywhere lately."

"I still don't understand how it could be possible..."

I woke up to the sound of these voices outside the storefront.

"They said she landed around here, and took refuge in one of these buildings. Ler's start by checking this one."

As the door opens, I dive behind the counter. But it's to late. They see me. And I see them.

"Icy!" I say

"shadow?"

"You're in Sailhaven?"

"You're alive?"

"Yeah, things change-" i shrug my shoulders, "how did you know I was dead?"

"News travels fast around here."

"Um," says a voice from behind Icy, "I don't mean to break up this whole love fest, but the king wants to see you."

I look behind Icy and see a girl.

"I'm shadow," I say, holding out my hand.

"Sprocket," she says, shaking my hand, "just Sprocket. I'm sure you understand the whole one-name thing."

"of course," I nod.

"Ahem," says a voice behind Sprocket. Except it's not a girl. It's a boy.

"Oh yes, I'm sorry. This is Elliot."

And that's how I met the king.

Um, so what happens now? If Sailhaven is really as bad as this, shouldn't we all evacuate? Or stay and fight Octavia?

No, it was a coup. Elliot was working for Octavia the whole time.

I am really sorry Shadow, but that whole Elliot thing won't work. First of all, he is no longer the king(he resigned to Octavia), and second of all if he still was the king I wouldn't be taking orders from him because he is trying to kill me. Maybe you could meet us in a different way because we are underground. In hiding where no one will hopefully find us. I am sorry if this sounded mean. I didn't mean it to be. BTW, welcome to SailHaven(or whats left of it).

Of course! I honestly am sad to say I don't know that much about Sailhaven. I read the thread as often as I can, and I love the story, but it can be kind of confusing for an outsider. Could you write a quick summery of what's been happening lately? I'll write a better 'meeting' later. What if I find the city completely abandoned, then decide to try looking underground? By the way, no one sounded mean or anything, and I completely understand. Thanks.
