I love the way you control me, SC. Endey, I'm not talking to you. Will post when I get back from school.

Wait! What? Huh? Waa? Draco, why you mad at me.

Random message from Endey:

Not sure what I did (besides stabbing someone) but I'm sorry!!!!

A little late. A little short (probably). A little uneventful. But to Fantage with it all.

Draco~

I looked into Endey's distressed eyes, and somehow knew that he was thinking what I was thinking. And Adela, so it seems, was thinking the same thing.

"They say there's a mage...." she began.

"...named Essrial?" Make that Aleakim, too.

"But we just got out of Flintwall!" Ferr exclaimed in Draconian.

"We have to take that chance," Anex replied. "It's our fault."

I was grateful he didn't say 'It's Endey's fault', but the truth was swirling around in my head anyway. The simple truth: Endey just stabbed a thirteen-year-old with a dagger. I kissed him a few months ago. Well, he kissed me. But now he just stabbed a thirteen-year-old with a dagger.

Well, he was defending himself. My brain made a feeble excuse, but I waved it away. What I knew is, everything I've fought for, everything I've ever killed was... was... older. More expirienced. Less of a child, more of a threat.....

"We're going to Flintwall," Arlen said gravely. "I had a younger sister that age." (sorry I added that to your biography, E.M., if it bothers you, we'll just pretend he knew a girl that age.Or something) He didn't say anything else, but we all understood, because we're all also thinking about the children we've known...

Aleakim was crying again. Corbinian was watching helplessly. Endey was still on the ground, eyes empty and blank. Elyana was pressing her face against Xell. Catrin was staring at him in shock, probably thinking something on the lines of 'what kind of people did I save?'

"We're going, all right?" I broke the silence, speaking in a hard voice that sounds nothing like my own.

We mounted our dragons, Elira volunteering to carry Hadrian (who was still whimpering horribly, but probably somebody else would have been screaming their heads off. I admired his bravery). I got onto Ferr, but as Endey got up from the ground and made as if to follow, I whispered "Leave him, Ferr," in Draconian. I didn't intend for Endey to overhear, but he does, and he looks more dejected than ever as Ferr flies into the air. He joins ELyana instead.

Here, up in the air, with the wind blowing my red hair and soothing my face, I should've felt better-- but I didn't. In fact, I felt worse, remembering all the days I'd spent with Endey.

I'm not sharing a dragon with a coward and a murderer, though. I can't. I seem cruel, occasionally, but I'm an honest person. Mabye, with their 'noble-noble' stuff -shutupshutup Draco- the knights may have a point.

~~~
As we stood by the dark wooden door, Elyana finally came forward and knocked firmly on the door. An albino girl in her early twenties -- though, of course, you can never tell with mages-- came out and surveyed us-- eyes falling on Hadrian, still alive somehow, on Endey, eyes directed toward the ground, on Aleakim, eyes red and wild.... and understood.
"I'll heal him," she said simply. "But there will be a price... there is always a price."
And we all understood that this price has nothing to do with gold.
~~~

Possibly not that short then.

I swear I'm not trying to make this rp crazier then it already is by adding another species, and if anyone objects to the existence of another species in our story I'm totally fine with that. I just really wanted to come up with something super awesome involving elves X) and I've been watching Antlantis so this just came into my head. Keep reading and you'll get what I'm talking about. :)

Aleakim--

"Name your price," I say curtly. The girl smiles at me, her red eyes staring into my own brown ones. A shiver goes up my spine. (And my friends think I'M creepy when I smile?)

"I want a soulstone. Preferrably an elf's soulstone," she says cruelly. I frown in confusion, as does everyone else.

"Elves don't exist," Draco says. Catrin, Endey, Adela, Elyana and Corbinian all nod in agreement.

"Yes they do. But what are these soulstones you're talking about?" I ask, bewildered. I've seen elves on occasion, back in my slayer days, but I've never heard of an elf having a soulstone. Anex steps forward and we all look at him expectantly. Out of everyone in our group, Anex knows the most random factoids.

"Soulstones are rocks formed of an elf's blood when it's born. The blood hardens into a round stone, which from then on carries the elf's soul."

"Smart boy," Essrial says. She says it as if he's at least fifty years younger than her, which knowing mages is probably true.

"But, is the stone carries the elf's soul, then what would happen to the elf if we took one?" Elyana asks nervously. We're all thinking the same thing: would we have to trade Hadrian's life for an innocent elf's? The mage dodges Elyana's question completely by saying,

"Contrary to popular belief, elves are not the only creatures that can have soulstones. They are the only species that needs the stones for survival, but other species can have them too. Dragons can have them, even Draceai can have them," Essrial glances at me slyly, "if they're deemed worthy. But only an elf can create a soulstone. Find me a soulstone, any soulstone at all, and i'll heal your friend."

"He's not our friend," Corbinian says awkwardly.

"No?" The mage looks at him. "Then I'll keep this one as collateral until you return." With that, she grabs both Hadrian and Anex and slams the door in our faces. We all stand in front of the door, stunned, for about two milliseconds. Then all of us are trying to push open the door for about two minutes, then we realize it's not going to work and talk about where to find an elf for about two more minutes.

"I've seen an elf before, up in the mountains." I point north. "I don't know if there's an encampment there, though."

"It's better than nothing," Draco says, and starts trudging towards where I'm pointing. After a moment's confused hesitation, we follow her.

Aleakim, are you Melody or Coral?

Sorry if this is short!

-Catrin-

An elf’s soulstone. “Would a poor, innocent  elf have to die to save the boy, Hadrian, who
had tried to kill us all?” I thought as we trudged toward the mountains. I felt
sorry for Endey; he obviously felt horrible, and Draco was continuing to ignore
him. “Look!” Aleakim said, pointing toward the mountains. We looked and saw a plume
of smoke, rising from a cave high on the mountain. The cliff was steep, and the
cave entrance did not look large enough for the dragons. “So,” Elyana said, “do we even know if these elves are friendly, cause I’m not sure if we want to
be somewhat stuck up there with a bunch of evil, murderous elves.” Draco took a
deep breath before answering. “We don’t really have a choice.” Endey looked at
everyone and said, “Listen, this is all my fault. Let me go in and get the
stone. If I don’t come back out in five hours to let you know I am okay, then
come after me.” Everyone looked at him with their mouths open. Draco grinned, “Was that just me, or did Endey just admit his mistake? I guess there is a first
time for everything. And no way am I going to let you go in by yourself and have
all the fun!” she said, lightly punching him on the shoulder. He smiled,
looking relieved that Draco was speaking to him, and that he wasn’t going to
have to go in by himself. “So,”  I said,
“how are we going to get in?”

@Ivy: nope.

Aleakim--

"Well, we could just go in," I say, and unfurl my blood-red wings. Catrin looks vaguely surprised, having not seen them yet. I fly up to the mouth of the cave, ignoring my friends' frantic warnings to "come back right now!"

"Hello!! Elfies?! You home?" I shout into the mouth of the cave. Without warning a dagger flies out of the darkness and tears painfully through the membrane of my left wing. I curse very loudly and drop like a stone onto the ground just outside the cave. Three extremely tall and skinny people with pointed ears come out of the cave, all glaring at me. As the sounds of dragons' wingbeats approach the cave, I say, "I'm guessing you don't like being called 'elfies'."

I'm posting now because tomorrow I'm going on vacation for a week. With no Internet. Well, also because this is Tiffany W. you see before you and Tiffany W. likes to post on this RP. Not as much on others though *looks guilty*

SC, sorry I made these precicely the types of elves you don't like, but I don't think these are supposed to be good guys.

Draco~

As we come in, Aleakim is surrounded by three tall blondes with pointy ears. "I'm guessing you don't like being called 'elfies'." Aleakim is saying.

The leader gives her a cold look. "Human child, you dare to come to our home and make fun of us?" He shook back his golden hair. "I am Eivalrel, elven prince!"

I look around the cave. "Fancy place you've got here," I mutter, "Even for a prince!"

His slanted green eyes turn to me. "Oh, you don't like princes, Siara Rizlak? WHo likes to be called Draco because her name reminds her of things she doesn't like?"

I stiffen, speechless. He smirks at me and turns toward a silver leaf carved into the wall. Maple leaf, probably. Even I know about maples, well, hey, I lived in the forest.

THe elf sings something in a high, clear voice. Strange words, words that leak elvish magic. I look around at my friends in shock, but they're staring at the elves too.

"Come, and you will see what befits a prince!" He enters the opening that had appeared in the rock. Not knowing what else to do, we follow in and appear in a throne room that shimmers with green light. I'd have thought it was made from malachite, but Arlen's eyes widen. "Elf-stone!"

Eivalrel turns around. "Elf-stone, indeed," he motions to his guards. "Leave me now. I have matters to discuss." He then turns toward us. "So, why do you feel like I should give you a soul-stone to save the boy that he"-- he motions toward Endey -- "Nearly killed?"

We exchange glances. The elf might have heard of me and guessed a few things, but this left no doubt: elves could read minds.

Tiffany W., on the RP we have unicorns that smell, idiot knights, extremely stupid princes, and whole lot of other silly things. Blonde, tall, skinny, perfect, arrow shooting elves make perfect sense here.
