Friday is cool!!

@ WritingWarrior-- Suspicious!! Good post!

Annie

Itook the folder out of my leather satchel. I flipped through to the page I’dmarked and took out the overly large photo of Rose and the Janitor.

“Who’sthis?” I passed the photo around.

Myfriends looked at it carefully.

“That’sRose Summers. She’s in our class!” Katie exclaimed.

“Correct.”I answered.

ThenI took out the rest of the photos.

Theothers looked at them in horror.

“Sheknows more about the janitor than any of us. We need to talk to her!” Ideclared.

Jesstook the paper with Rose’s picture and information.

“There’ssome sort of schedule on here. Maybe a train…” Jess said.

“Bus.It’s a bus schedule! Rose takes the bus, remember!” Emma exclaimed.

Inodded.

“Weneed to talk to her. Don’t say anything about this until we get to school. We’llcorner her at lunch.”

Therest nodded and with that we left and rode back home.

Iopened the apartment door quietly and slipped in.

ThenI lay down on my bed and fell asleep.

Rose

Jess and I biked to school the following morning, Jess promising to fill me in on all the details. First, she talked about the death of the janitor, the TOP SECRET! file, the blood on the sink. When I didn't respond, her bike came to a screeching halt on the pebbly ground.

"You're kidding, right? You've been a friend of his since the start of the school year, and now you don't care?" Jess whispered in shock.

"Oh, I've known for a while now," I chuckled. "A couple pieces of restroom graffiti here, some office gossip there...". I'd recovered from the loss of my friend after 2 tear stained journal pages and a sad song on my guitar the night it all happened. But just how did Jess, Annie, Katie, and Emma come into play?

"Wait one moment. The teachers are talking about it? This is bad, oh man, this is bad," Jess wailed. Confused, I waited for her to explain. So she went on to talk about how the file contained the pictures of everybody who knew some bits of information, and whenever another person got a clue, a new picture was discovered hidden amongst the others. Jess also explained her theory of "the order the pictures are in, the order the bodies are killed"- and she was picture #1.

"Oh, don't worry!" I laughed cheerfully. "As if they'll be able to catch you!" But then, things only got creepier. Jess told of how she was ambushed on the way to school- explaining how her jacket had ended up in such a remote area.

After this bit of information, Jess dragged me into a popular dress store called Gowns and Crowns. Together, we raced under a spinning rack of glamorous, glittery skirts. I giggled, remembering times when I did the same thing at 3 years old. A clear of the throat from Jess, however, silenced me. This was no time to relish childhood memories. This was a huge secret just waiting to burst.

"First of all, there are only 5 pictures in the file right now: Me, the other 3, and you. If that killer discovers those graffiti kids too... they'll end up there somehow." Jess's voice sent chills down my spine. Was this true? A life or death situation? Or a horrible prank on Miss Invisisble?

"And finally...I discovered a sticky note in the bottom of the file the other night. It read that all administration must KEEP OUT! But if you heard talk in the office...then...then..."

"...then one of the teachers is your pursuer, Jess," I finished for her.

We huddled under the clothes some more after that. We didn't even notice the masked man who was running off with our bikes.

Just ignore my previous post. Someone exited the window so I have to start all over again.

And I meant that the night we had the meeting was Friday night. So it would be Saturday now. Is that okay? If it isn't just ignore this post too.

//Katie//

I got up at 6:30 on Saturdays as well because I had work at Dunn Brothers. I worked as a barista from 7:30 to 11:30.

I did my morning ablutions and got dressed in my favorite red dress. Then I went downstairs. My mother and father were already up and my mother had made doughnuts and sausage. I ate quickly, said good-bye to my parents, went out the door, and rode to the mall on my bike. When I got there I saw Annie and Emma just putting their bikes in the bike rack, I put mine along side theirs and we walked into the mall.

On the way to the coffee shop I asked, "What are you doing here?" (I know that malls don't usually open till 10:00, but I thought this could be an outdoor sort of mall)

"We just decided we would like to have some morning coffee," Annie said. I was suspicious. I didn't think that either of them liked coffee that much or got up early on Saturday morning just for that. But I just replied "Okay, where's Jess?" "She's with Rose Summers." I knew that that probably meant she was telling her about what was going on.

Here I go,

Bill

I was walking to get a new shirt when I saw a man run away with 2 bikes.  I had to let the owners know about that.  I began searching the crime scene for some people.  Then I saw two girls chatting in some bushes. I didn't want to disturb them, so I wrote on a scrap piece of paper:

Someone stole your bikes!!

I quietly hid behind a bush beside  them.

Rose

Jess and I had moved outside of the store after checking out some of the sales items. I love locally owned stores, so I was in heaven! The best dress there was something I normally would have considered too fancy, but for some reason today, it was gorgeous. It was a velvety black color and had a red sparkly sash wrapped around it. We were still pretty worried about the killer, so we hid out in some bushes surrounding the shop.

Suddenly, I spotted a torn up piece of notebook paper carried by the wind tumbling in our direction.  The words were written in slanted handwriting:

Someone stole your bikes!

I showed the message to Jess. She panicked -- hey, wouldn't you if you just got back from a creepy discussion? Looking around for a man in a mask, I bumped into the bush behind me. I expected to find our tormentor, so I was surprised when I saw the boy. He had thick black hair, a plaid shirt, and short blue jeans covered in what appeared to be rasberry stains. I turned to face him completely, and asked...

"What just happened here?"

I add this on:

Bill

I didn't waste any more time.  I quickly went to buy a new shirt.  After that, I went to my Saturday job at the farmer's market.  My boss, a nice man named Allen paid me $4.00 for the first hour.  I got right to work.

Sorry.  Forget the other one!Embarassed

This one's real:

Bill

I was running away when I  felt someone run into me.  It was the same two girls.  "Huh?" I turned around. "What just happened, and who are you?" I asked.  "We're Jess and Rose.  What are you doing here?" they said.  I replied, "I'm Bill.  I saw that guy just go and steal those bikes!  Those guys have been around since I moved in!" I was very annoyed at those men around there. "I need to work at the market," I said, as I hurried away.

I was wondering if you guys could see who posted last and if you can't see the post, please wait because then we get confused.

Annie

Emma and I sat down at a small round table in Dunn Brothers. Katie went behind the counter and brought out two coffees.

I looked down at the dark brown liquid and looked at Emma in disgust.

“Ugh! Can you hand me the sugar?” Emma nodded and pushed the small sugar dish over the table.

I took it and spooned tablespoons of sugar into the coffee. Then I grabbed four cream containers and poured them in.

Emma stared at me.

“Are you crazy?” she asked. I took a sip of the coffee. “Nope. This stuff really tastes bad!” I set the mug down.

“When are Rose and Jess coming?” I asked.

Emma looked at her dark purple watch.

“They should be here in a minute,” she answered.

At that moment Rose and Jess burst into the store.

“Hey!” they exclaimed in unison.

The two girls slipped into the booth.

“Some guy . . . he stole our bikes!” Rose exclaimed in a whisper.

“WHAT?!” Emma and I yelled.

“How did they know you were there?” I asked. “Dunno, followed us probably.” Jess shrugged her shoulders.”

“How did they know that you’d told us? You told us over your phone.” Jess shrugged her shoulders again.

“Give me your phone!” I demanded.

Jess took out her phone and gave it to me unwillingly.

I looked at it. My thoughts were buzzing.

Then I noticed a small device near the lense of her camera.

I dug my nails under it and it came off. I could see small electronic wires connecting to each other.

“Guys!” I whispered. “They put something on Jess’s phone! I don’t know what it is but . . . Is there an electronics store in here?”

“Over there!” Emma pointed to a small shop. We got up to leave.

“Katie, we’ll be back in an hour or thirty minutes!” Katie nodded and went on serving her customers.

Then we ran out to the electronics store.

I rushed to the farmer's market.  When I got there, people scattered in all directions.  I saw it. a bunch of masked people were running around trying to catch people.  I waited until everyone was out exept the masked people, then I closed the gates.  I decided to get some coffee.  I ran into the mall and to a coffee shop I like.  I said, "Who are you? I've never saw you before."   "I'm Katie.  Would you like some coffee?" she replied.  She looked about my age.  I took some coffee, poured a teaspoon of sugar and a container of cream. I also ordered a few cookies.  Then I sat down for an hour before the same 2 girls and another girl walking out of the electronics store.

Annie

The electronics store was small and cramped with millions of gadgets.

We walked up to a teenage boy with a pimpled face, curly brown hair and piercing blue eyes. He looked up at us and smiled.

“Welcome. How may I be of service?” he asked politely.

I opened my hand and showed it to the boy.

He took out a small microscope to look at it. After a moment he looked up in shock.

“Where did you get this?!” he exclaimed.

“Uhh…” I was trying to think but I couldn’t find an answer.

“The road. We were biking and we thought it was a jewel or something, then we noticed the wires. . . .” Rose’s face was innocently placed.

“Wow! These cost a lot! This is a tracker.”

“What does it do?” Jess asked.

“It tracks you. This is the newest model. It’s connected to a GPS and people can see where you’re going.”

“How do you confiscate it?” Jess’s voice was excited.

“You disconnect,” the boy took out some tweezers, “these wires.” He looked at it closely. Then some smoke billowed up from the small tracker.

“Is that all?” the boy asked.

“Yep,” Rose, Emma, Jess and I answered.

Then we ran out of the store to tell Katie.

When we got into the café, Katie was serving a boy some coffee. He looked about our age and my stomach turned at the smell of the stuff.

“That’s the boy we met,” Jess whispered.

“Is he following us?” I whispered back.

“No idea,” Jess answered.

As soon as Katie was done she hurried over.

“And?” she asked curiously.

“We’ll tell you later. . . . Maybe two o’clock at the community gardens. You know Aunt Sue’s routines.”

The others nodded, happily remembering the long days in the dirt planting.

I plumped down on a seat and looked at the boy.

“Should we talk to him?” Emma asked.

Jess looked over at him and then at us.

We got up and walked over to the table where the boy was sitting.
