Here is where we post about our heroes and villians, and ask the other Chatterboxers what they would rate them from 1-10, 1 being "A flop" and 10 being "EPICNESS!!!" I'll start. Note: We are not allowed to rate our own heroes and villians, since we are almost certainly biased enough to give them 10.
HERO
Name: Kartani.
Age: 10.
Mission: To save the Land of Waterfalls, a land of cliffs and waterfalls where large numbers of wolves reside in safety, from The Disaster.
Allies: She has a lot of 'em. :S I will name the most important four. Rolford-her friend since she was a baby, also a wolf-heart; Satyiyi-a water nymph princess; Starspirit-an extremely mischievous spellwolf (the wolf equivalent of a wizard); and Nightsong-Kartani's wolf friend.
Special powers: Can turn into a gray wolf at will, and thus has enhanced hearing and smell. Can speak with animals.
Personality-Slightly aloof and wary, but friendly once you get to know her. Willing to do anything for her friends. Slightly hot-tempered and impatient.
Physical appearance: As a human: Long black hair, dark blue eyes with flecks of gold, tanned skin. As a wolf: Large, gray fur, golden eyes.
History: Both her parents were wolf-hearts, but died when she was eight months, so she grew up in an orphanage knowing nothing of her origins. One night she was told by Nightsong that her destiny was to save the Land of Waterfalls-and that's how she ended up going on a journey.
Other names: Wolf name: Gara (means loner in Karen, the language of the wolf gods); The One (in an ancient prophecy foretelling The Disaster).
VILLIAN
Name: Wackler.
Age: Um...never thought about it...about 40.
Mission: To stop Kartani from saving the Land of Waterfalls and capture Starspirit.
Allies: Minions, in this case, would be a more accurate term. Anyway, his minions are an army of cougar-hearts, humans who can turn into cougars.
Special powers: Almost the same as Kartani, except for being able to turn ino a cougar.
Personality: Greedy, cunning, sinister, ruthless, and cruel.
Physical appearance: As a human: Short, fat, and balding, with gray eyes. As a cougar: Huge and powerful, with tanned fur and bright amber eyes.
History: How should I know? Heh heh. But I do know that he murdered Kartani's parents, without knowing that they had children.
Other names: Cougar name: Tarag (don't ask me what it means, I'm not really developing the cougar god language at the moment), Terror of the South (earned after numerous terrible deeds done as a cougar).
So? Ratings? Please?
Here are a couple more rules: 1. You may post as many hero/villian pairs, but one at a time, please. 2. The hero and the villian must be involved in the same story.

@Wolfgirl: Without reading about her, I would be inclined to give Karatani an 8.
Wackler, 6 1/2.
Protagonist:
Name: Corelle
Species: Faerie (light)
Age: 20
Mission: FInd the Pearls for the restoration of magic to the Faerie Kingdom.
Allies: Lunacea, beautiful and serene Queen of the Faeries; Lilliterra, precocious and intellegent five-year old youngling, lover of plants; Robyn, wise and brave red-haired faerie
Special powers: Flight, as all faeries have, and is able to use magic, but only when the Light faeries are in possesion of the Seven Pearls. (Whichever side owns the Pearls gets their power.)
Personality: Brave but impulsive. She loves drama, and often daydreams or reads about dramatic situations.
Physical appearance: Blue pointed solid-color butterfly wings, medium-length brown hair, height: short, likes to wear pink
History: like that of other faeries. She grew up in the Hollow-trees. (main faerie city)
Antagonist:
Name: Dracea (Dray-sha)
Age: Seventy-eight (but Faeries can live to a great age.)
Species: Faerie (Dark)
Mission: Acquire the Pearls of Power for herself, Defeat the Light Faeries in battle (I almost accidently wrote ballet!) And become the sole ruler of Penthallia.
Allies: (like yours, minions would be more appropriate.) The other Dark Faeries, who follow her because of a prophecy that she will one day be Queen. A long time ago she gathered them together and they all seceeded from the Faerie Kingdom.
Special Powers: Like Corelle's, like any other faerie's.
Personality: Prideful, vain, temperamental
Physical appearance: Black hair, ugly purple wings (her worst feature) imposing presence, commanding voice.
History: When she was young she received a (convoluted) prophecy (that doesn't say what she think it does) stating that she will one day become queen. She was emboldened to seceed by that prophecy. She thinks Lunacea, current Queen, is an imposter.

For NaNo10 there's technically no villain, but...
HERO
Name: Mort
Age: 15-ish (he doesn't know his exact age)
Mission: To Save the World from the Dark Lord. Also, to not die. The former is what Epon wants to happen; the latter is Mort's main concern.
Allies: Ecge, a claustrophobic poetry-writing Dwarf, and Fael, your typical Rebellious Elf Princess. Technically also George, who is useless. And Epon, who is supposed to be Mort's Wise Mentor and is also useless, though not as useless as George.
Special powers: He has no powers. He can't do magic. He can't fight. But he can steal practically anything.
Personality: He's extremely sarcastic and extremely pessimistic. He also talks too much. But he's fairly friendly.
Physical appearance: To quote Fael's description of him: "Tallish for a human, rather pale, shaggy brown hair, greyish eyes, way too skinny." He also dresses in all black as per Thieves' Guild regulations.
History: Never knew his parents. He was abandoned on the streets as a baby, and taken in by the Thieves' Guild (he wasn't nailed down) who raised and educated him.
Other names: The Elves call him the Defeater of Evil and the Defender of Good. This includes Fael, but she does it mockingly. She also occasionally flips it and calls him the Defender of Evil and Defeater of Good.

I love Mort! I would give him a nine. It sounds like you're doing some sort of satirical fantasy, if the prologue you posted in another thread is for Mort's story. Which I do believe it is. So yay for you!
That being said, I LOVE HIM, and I love you and him even more for writing something that sounds so deliciously awesome! ;)

These are from my NaNo story.
HERO
Name: Erin
Age: 11
Mission: To stop the wolves from using her dogs and all the other dogs in the world for revenge against humans.
Allies: Gosh, alot,: Humans (main three): Bailey (sister), Christian, Elizabeth, Dragons (again, main three): Naneka, Riotoliko, Graelda
Special powers: Is the keeper of Dragons which means she has the ability to control them to a certain point. Becuase of a wolf becoming part of her she has the ability to turn into a Gray Wolf it will.
Personality: Sensitive, easily gives up, tends to depend on others more than herself.
Physical appearance: Long blonde hair, Average in weight and hieghth, a few freckels.
History: Grew up with both parents and her sister in the Colorado plains.
Other names: Keeper
VILLIAN
Name: Zotnoke
Age: Five
Species: Wolf
Mission: To stop Erin and use every single dog in the world to attack the humans for stealing thier land. In other words, revenge.
Allies: His sister Lillilita, Fahtan, the whole wolf pack basically. Oh yes, the dogs were forced to help him with magic.
Special powers: Whit, everything a wolf has basically, he steals magic too.
Personality: Cunning, Jealous, Stubborn.
Physical appearance: Large.
History: Grew up in a wolf pack and fought his way to being top dog.
Other names: None.
