Hey, guys! I recently got into Keeper of the Lost Cities, and I've noticed that some of you like it too, so I thought I'd make an RP. I'll put the character sheet, then the rules, and a basic description of the series for anyone who doesn't know. I'm also going to create the first comment on this thread as a "General Comment", so that anyone who joins late can see the plot so far. Now, let's get started!

RULES
-Your character may bear similarities to a character in the book, but you can't RP as a character in the book.
-Your character can have more than one ability.
-You can have as many characters as you want, though try to keep it to 3.
-Try not to lead the plot like it is in the series!
-Characters from the books can exist, but just as side characters. Don't involve any book characters in major things.
Series Description (with as few spoilers as possible):
Keeper of the Lost Cities is a currently 8.5 book series (more coming soon).The series is about a girl named Sophie Foster who finds out she's an elf, though they're not what we usually picture them to be. They look like humans, only they dress differently. (Usually tunics and pants with capes and cloaks, though girls wear dresses when going about if they're in nobility) and they live in what are called the "Lost Cities", called this because they are lost to humans. For example, Atlantis is a Lost City. Anyway, Sophie we discover is the creation of a group called the Black Swan, whose total motives and reasoning are still unknown. Right now, the Council, a group of elvin leaders who are basically the government, want to find them because they are going against elvin law. (Like going into the "Forbbiden Cities" which is the human world.) Though no one knows exactly who is in the Black Swan, or basically anything about them. Sophie has multiple special and enhanced abilities (like she's a telepath with an inpentrable mind) because the Black Swan created her and tweaked her genes. She has information that she can't access stored away in her mind, and is only given clues here and there by the Black Swan to help both humans and elves.

Yeah, I agree with the two elf parents. And unless anyone else has some ideas for the project name, we can call in Project Discovery. Also, do ya'll mind if I fill out a form for Kalen? I think he probably needs one if he's going to interact in the story. And finally, is there anything else we need to clear up before we begin the RP? I was just wondering if there were any more final questions before we can take off on this.

Okay, here it is! Let me know if I missed anything or if there are any changed I should make.
Name: Kalen Sauron
Age: 13
Appearance: Brown, semi-curly hair with a ting of reddish coloring in it that comes down to just under his ears. Pointy chin, emerald eyes (when not dyed blue), and a ski-slope like nose. Normal height for his age, maybe a tad bit taller. Thin, with relatively normal sized ligaments and long fingers.
Ability(s): Has not manifested yet (or at least that's his cover story)
Home name: Callacove Gates
School: Foxfire
School Level, if needed: 3rd
Personality: Introverted, doesn't care to be around people. He's dealing with enough already, in his mind. Blends in in a crowd, silent unless provoked, and sneaky when needed to be. Performs many actions that nobody would ever suspect him of. Worried, he always has stress and guilt on him from what the Vanyar makes him do. He's always thinking of a way to escape them, but doesn't know how. Has a relatively hard time in class, because as you can see above, his mind is elsewhere. And, of course, he is not an Elf. He's always trying to fit into a world of other creatures, but it is hard. He doesn't really have any good friends.

Hey there! I think Kalen is a fantastic character, but I believe that 'Sauron' is a bit of a dead givaway connecting him to anyone relating to Tolkien, 'cause like, Sauron is one of the most famous villians in history, and he also has a HUGE part in the movies and books. I'm not sure if it's too late to change it, but if anyone has other Tolkien names we can use for Kalen I'd like to hear them.

Okay everyone, here it goes!

I arrived at school early this morning (to set up a prank, obviously), so I was very suprised to see that I wasn't alone at the school. I had arrived by light, like normal, but when I reformed in Foxfire, something was off. It was strange, I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary, but I had this sensation that trouble was near. And I know trouble. I decided to ignore it, since nothing looked different, but the feeling just grew stronger as I made my way to my locker. As I turned into the Amber colored hallway though, I stopped dead in my tracks. There were footsteps coming down the hallway. This was no time for pranks. I lunged back behind a row of lockers and made myself as stiff as a board. But I still watched. And waited. I heard the feet coming closer, and I scrunched into the wall even more. How was I ever going to get out of this. Then, I saw the figure. I would like to tell you it was some ominous beast that a new alchemy student somehow created in class, but unfortunatly, it was no such thing. As a matter of fact, it was only Kalen. Kalen, the quitest kid in the school who never paid attention in his classes. So, why was he here? He slowly crept toward his locker, continuously turning back. Did he think someone was watching him? Well, okay, I was, but that didn't count. He wouldn't expect me here. So who was he looking for? With a shaking hand, he reached toward the handle of his locker, thankfully on the wall across from me, and opened it. The door flung open, and I noticed a small mirror stuck to the inside of it. Why had I not noticed it before? Then, Kalen reached for a bottle of blue liquid stashed in his pocket. He unscrewed the dropper top, and then looked in the mirror. And that was when I became scared. His eyes...his eyes were not blue. In the mirror, I saw emerald, not teal, aqua, navy, or turqouise. I tried to back up, but of course, there was a wall behind me, and I only succeeded in making a large thump sound. And Kalen heard.
"Wha..." he started turning around. "Jasper!" He cried quickly hidding the bottle in his locker. "What...what did you see?
I should have told him. I should have. But something inside me told me to hide it. "Nothing" I responded inocently.
"Really?" Kalen questioned
"Yeah, was there something I should have seen?" I asked, playing it as cool as I could.
"No, nothing at all!" Kalen stuttered, trying to descretly close his locker. "Nothing at all..."
