I just had an amazing idea- I’ve actually had it for a bit but I was kind of afraid that nobody would like it. But anyways, here is it.
What if I make something (with help, obviously) like Kyngdom? I understand if you don’t want me to becuase I’m so new, I just thought that it’s something I would enjoy doing with some help!
Now here’s a few problems, it would probably (unless the CB Team is interested in granting us a new category like Kyngdom does, although that could be tough) have to all be on Inkwell, but with a lot of pages like that we’d have to figure out how to keep it well organized, maybe make a table of contents, although then we’d have to rely on the Admins putting up with us asking for all of the edits, I’m not sure if they’d like that very much owo
Anyways, I’m probably thinking too far into this, I need to know if you guys and the Admins think it’s okay/it would be fun UwU I understand if you want somebody who’s been on the CB longer than me to do it.

thread for your project. We think other CBers would be interested in joining
and helping to develop your idea as they have on other threads over the years.

This sounds cool (I say having yet to read through all the plot stuff)! I do have a question, I know Kyngdom has a lot of threads that all amount to one big story- is this going to be similar? I feel like it sounds more like an RP with a lot of people. Please correct me if I'm wrong, like I said, I haven't read through everything. It sounds like fun!

Here’s what I have so far.
The galaxy of Krein, and I think that I’d like to start with Pari at least becuase that was sort of a main planet, but we can World-build from there.
There’s a president of each planet
It will be many threads, not just one
A distress signal is sent to each planet, but the presidents cover it up, saying it was a false alarm and that nothing is wrong.
A select few (Aka everybody’s charries) get a message written on something special that is almost never used- paper, that says (also that was the best, I wrote pap and immediatly the toilet paper emoji popped up. Goes to show what emojis peeps be using these days xD) “Come to (insert location) at (insert date and time). We need help. - The People of <the planet’s name has been scratched out>.” There is a note scrawled on the back of each letter. “Don’t listen to them. The emergency is a lie. - <The leader of your planet’s name here>” (Yes I’m throwing in a Portal joke don’t blame me)
You must chose whether to go to (location) or to listen to your leader and go to a meeting with them.
Eventually later on I’ll add a bad guy and throw everybody outta whack >:D
Hows this sound so far? Tell me if I got anything wrong or should add anything

Remember that the joy of Kyngdom was that you could be anyone, or anything. So people should also be able to play as those on the distress signal planet, and leaders of planets.
Ways we could organize the threads--
-Completely take over the Inkwell, and move roleplay, solo-writes, and all ski-lodges to Pudding's Place. While this would, admittedly, be by far the easiest and best to keep track of, it would also be a dramatic and massive change to the CB. Those not participating would probably feel that this new project was destroying the CB.
--We label each thread belonging to this with a certain set of letters or numbers. (This option would probably make everyone the happiest.) For example, the start of each thread would look like AB: Title of the Thread.
--We take over Kyngdom with this. While this would also be one of the easiest and best ways to do things, as a long-time Kyngdomer I do not like this option at all, and if you all decide on this, I will do everything in my power to make sure this project doesn't happen. I understand that you all are using this as a replacement for Kyngdom because Kyngdom was too old or whatever, but Kyngdom's still being added to and written, so I strongly advise you to not mess with it.
--We wait until we can get a new category. This would mean repeatedly asking the Admins, and having to wait a very long time. (Possibly even up to a year.)
--Use a specific section of Kyngdom. This would make Kyngdomers just as angry. I don't like this option.

Before we go any further, I'd also like to voice my opinion as a long-time Kyngdomer.
This project is, at its core, a replacement for Kyngdom. Don't try to dance around it, or say otherwise--intentional or not, that is what it is. I mean, half the people joining these are people who planned to join Kyngdom, but didn't because it was too daunting!
So let's be real. Unless all of you promise to give Kyngdom a try, it's not getting any newcomers. It's going to get pushed aside and forgotten. So, maybe you could help advertise Kyngdom a little?

Also, for those of you complaining that you didn't want to wade through tons of old threads just to join Kyngdom? You don't have to. Here's a simple, easy, one-thread guide to all of Kyngdom.

Just a quick question, Sybill. Is Kyngdom a big time commitment? I mostly haven't joined because I have not had enough time to explore it fully and I didn't want to leap in and mess things up. I'll look into joining again. Your last couple posts convinced me to check out things further.

Yes and no. It's like a large roleplay--so it depends on how active you want to be. Some people only post when they have time, like me. And if it ever gets too much, you can always leave. So it's really up to you if you're going to be super committed. But no, you don't HAVE to be super active, and roleplay there until the very very end. :)

I didn't say that I was angry or starting a fight--calm down, I don't want anyone getting worked up. I'm just saying that this IS, at it's core, another Kyngdom. Meaning we should also try to give the original a little love and care, right? :)
As the Admins said, there's room for everything on the CB--we just have to make sure it has room.

@Sybill, I am interested in joining Kyngdom, and one reason I haven't is because if you go to the "Enter the world of Kyngdom," there's a thread that says "the story so far" and that link doesn't work. So thanks for putting up that thread. It's much more helpful. I would like to be active in both of these! Question, though. How do I put in a charrie? How do I start RPing and all that jazz? That's the second reason I haven't joined previously. I haven't been able to get much info on how to actually join. So yeah. If there is a link to instructions, I would totally come on!

I think there's something on the Ultimate Guide that shows how to do that. If not, post your charrie sheets on the Who's Here thread. Then, join any active roleplay threads like you would a normal roleplay.
Currently active roleplays:
--"Beginner Thread", located on the Rp board
--"Pre-Winter Masquerade", located on the Rp board
--"Tale:Two Kyngdoms", located on the home page
--"The Nocturnal", located under the Groups section

I do understand why some people think that this is essentially a replacement for Kyngdom, and I have tried to join Kyngdom several times in the past (which didn't really work out...), but to me this new project seems different. Kyngdom was created and shaped by people who have long gone, and the times that I have tried to join, I've jumped into RPs that have been going for a while and where everyone else already has history. This time, we will be the ones shaping the path of the roleplaying and the history of the world, and we'll grow with it so we'll know what's going on instead of reading up on the history all at once.
I don't think this will be pushing Kyngdom away. I think it's an entirely separate thing.
I definitely don't think we should take over Kyngdom for this, and I like Sybill's idea of labeling the threads so we can find them easily; do we have a name for this project yet?

How does The Kreinian Chronicles sound? It seems a little too YA to me, but it's the best I can come up with at the moment.
Lucinda says "fivrn". Five right now? I think she's asking for a five minute break, but she doesn't get any (as specified in our contract). Maybe she can bring the issue up with the CAPTCHA union?
