URGENT IDEA!!!!!!!

I just had an amazing idea- I’ve actually had it for a bit but I was kind of afraid that nobody would like it. But anyways, here is it.

What if I make something (with help, obviously) like Kyngdom?  I understand if you don’t want me to becuase I’m so new, I just thought that it’s something I would enjoy doing with some help! 

Now here’s a few problems, it would probably (unless the CB Team is interested in granting us a new category like Kyngdom does, although that could be tough) have to all be on Inkwell, but with a lot of pages like that we’d have to figure out how to keep it well organized, maybe make a table of contents, although then we’d have to rely on the Admins putting up with us asking for all of the edits, I’m not sure if they’d like that very much owo

Anyways, I’m probably thinking too far into this, I need to know if you guys and the Admins think it’s okay/it would be fun UwU I understand if you want somebody who’s been on the CB  longer than me to do it.

I personally love Interstellar. Maybe that can be a working title for now? And now, to business.

As someone who discovered the CB through Kyngdom when Kyngdom was still new, it hurts just a little to see something that meant so much to me when I was younger (and still means a lot to me now!) being replaced. I agree with Sybill that this is definitely a replacement for Kyngdom whether it's intentional or not, and that everyone should give Kyngdom a jolly good try before deciding it's not for them. The basic story is actually not very confusing at all, but there are a lot of tangential side stories and subplots - which you don't necessarily need to know all about before RPing. 

Here's the link to the Ultimate Guide to Kyngdom again. Please, at least read the first post. Hazel does a great job summing the story up in a paragraph. If you read it and it's not for you, that's fine. If you read it and it is for you, great! Welcome aboard! Be a part of Kyngdom. Be a part of Interstellar. Heck, be a part of both or neither! Anyhow, I love you guys :)
 
We totally understand and love that many CBers are so loyal to Kyngdom. We love Kyngdom, too. But we just want to remind everyone that the CB is a giant place with plenty of room for all sorts of stories and everyone's voice to be heard. Perhaps instead of thinking of things in terms of "replacing" or "competing" with Kyngdom, Kyndomers can be proud that the are "inspiring" another idea that can coexist with Kyngdom. Artists are inspired by other artist's work all of the time. That is one we grow as artists. --Admin

I was going to do Kyngdom but it was waaaaaaaaaay too confusing. I just tried the link and that was perplexing as well. If we go through with this idea (and I think we should) we should try to make it less confusing.

I think that Distress Signal is a really awesome name, and it could maybe be the working title? Interstellar is cool, but it’s the name of a movie and I don’t wanna... Actually I’m not completly sure I’d probably just get confused, also I like multiple word titles xD

Maybe we could use Across the Void instead, because more people seem to like that one.

(I personally don't like Distress Signal. Across the Void was my second favorite.)

What exactly about the Ultimate Guide to Kyngdom is confusing? Sorry if this comes off as rude - I'm asking because 1) your comments could help make the Guide better for newbies and 2) I would be glad to answer any of your questions. Laughing

This might not be the right place for this post, but people have been discussing Kyngdom, so.

I'm thinking about jumping back into Kyngdom. I read through the whole Kyngdom Academy thread a while back, and I've tried to join a few times before, so I have a vague idea of what's going on. But I'm not sure where to start or what kind of a character to make, or how I can get involved without disrupting anything. I know this is a really vague question, but do any Kyngdom people have advice?

I just updated the Guide with another bit of story, so I think it's fully updated for now. Things have actually been going pretty slowly over on Kyngdom (because summer break) so now would be a great time to join! There's a signup form on the "Who's here?" thread (located on the Kyngdom homepage) which you can fill out (it's not required). The Grasplands ("Beginner Thread" on the RP Board, which is located at the very bottom of the Kyngdom page) is specially designed as a jumping off point for new Kyngdomers. There's a few different stories going on there right now (I just realized nothing on that thread's supposed to affect the main plot...shucks) but there's plenty of room for another one! (Speaking of plenty of room - I do believe the world is wide enough for both this project and Kyngdom. I didn't specify that in my last post. Apologies and good luck to Niteskiies and the rest!)

I like both Across the Void and Interstellar.  They seem to encompass the sci-fi genre of this idea.  Have we decided which idea people have given to go off of?

I have another question about Kyngdom.  In the character sheet it asks "Friend or Mentor?", what does this mean?

A mentor is like a teacher, a wise counselor, a master for an apprentice to follow. And you know what a friend is.

It basically is just asking if your charrie is very close to others, or is allied to a specific faction, or whatever.

It's asking who your charrie's friend or mentor is. I'm currently filling out that sheet also, so if you'd like to make yours and mine friends that would be fine with me. Otherwise I think you can make another one up, but you don't necesarily (I still don't know how to spell that word) have to make the friend/mentor play a huge part in your RPing, I think? I don't really know, I'm probably not the best person to answer this, as I'm a newbie too, Sybill, Bakerloo, or Hazel would do a better job.

I think this is a great idea, but we should have to get a certain space for it.
