This is my first Solo Write so sorry if it’s terrible. But here goes: In the middle of a war torn universe, Aelaas has fallen. Likha did it. Likha… the indestructible empire. And Aelaas. The center of art and music and quite simply, happiness. The country that gave hope to every, single, person who’s had to live through this war. Without Renilaas… the war is lost, Likha has won. Or so everyone thinks. A small group of renegade rebels is formulating a plan to overthrow the malicious Empress. They call themselves Heilona, after their founder, Heilona Liya. Part I
Khaira stood in front of the oasis on the outskirts of Kazadeh. It was dark out, and she was ready. Tying a black scarf- not her usual colorful one- around her head, she ran into the night.
“Wake up!” Lianna cracked open her eyes to find the Herb Woman standing over her. She didn’t have a name, or if she did, no one knew what it was. Lianna realized with a pang she would have to leave her- along with the rest of Malandrife- tonight.
Delilah sat away from the other refugees. It wasn’t her fault that her dad was born in Likha. Just like it wasn’t her fault Aelaas had fallen. So why did the other Aelaanian refugees keep shooting her dirty looks?
Luila looked at Raymond sadly. “Come on… it’ll be fun!” but it was no use. Raymond wasn’t coming. She didn’t want to leave him, but if he wasn’t going to cooperate… It was her duty to do anything she could to help the Heilona. Just like all the others: Heilona herself, Khaira, Lianna, and so many others...
Raymond couldn’t believe it. Luila expected him to just run away with her to this- this- this- rebellion, without planning ANYTHING. It was crazy! “What about the Karosones? You can’t just leave them!” he yelled. Luila bit her lip.

Khaira surveyed Malandrife in awe. How could there be so many mountains in one place? She subconsciously retied the old colorful headband she’d switched into that morning. Taking a deep breath she sprinted up the paths till she came to the spot where Lianna should be.
Lianna bit back a scream. What was that girl doing on top of her house? “Hi!” the girl shouted. “I’m Khaira! You’re Lianna right?” Lianna exhaled and nodded. “Who’s doing all that shouting?” asked Herb Woman. “HIDE.” hissed Lianna. As Khaira dove under some rocks, Lianna said, “Oh! No one.”
Delilah stood up, incensed. “STOP TEASING ME!” she shouted at that annoying kid. But wait.”I’m sorry. I’ve had a loooong day. What’s your name?” Delilah really needed to ACT HER AGE. The kid shook his head. Oh great. Now she’d scared him. “KARMA, DELILAH,” the megaphone yelled. The boy looked at her and ran away.
Luila packed her bags up. Khaira and Lianna should be picking her up soon… Raymond watched with a scowl on his face. What was his problem? Didn’t he understand she was doing this for everyone that had died in this awful war? Luila had to do this, although she still wished she was doing it with Raymond. “C’mon, Do Whatever, right?” she asked.
“Fine. But the Zoo is coming.” Wait what? Those words did NOT just come out of his mouth. Raymond looked around. Okay, so apparently they did. Luila looked like she’d just got her memory back and she had awesome parents and they were still alive and she had lots and lots of amazing sibs. “Okay. So… we’re leaving at midnight, okay?” Luila told him.

Finally- midnight. Khaira slung her backpack over her arm and waited for Lianna to show up. Come on! She wanted to yell, but that would wake up that old healer Lianna lived with. Fortunately, she did. “Next stop is some unnamed town in the middle of a lake- someone named Luila?” whispered Khaira. Nodding, Lianna followed her silently down the mountain.
Lianna followed Khaira, not mentioning how LOUDLY Khaira climbed. “I wonder how we should scare Luila?” mused Khaira. Wow, thought Lianna, some prankster, and stayed silent. They reached the big lake. “Hey, can you swim?” asked Lianna. While she wasn’t much of a talker, she didn’t want anyone drowning. Khaira nodded, though not super confidently. Okay the. She dived in.
Ugh, thought Delilah. Now they all think I’m some sort of Likhan spy. As she walked up to the Inspector, he raised an eyebrow. “Karma is a Likhan last name.” I KNOW, she thought. Out loud, she said, “Yes, but I’m not a spy.” “Hmm.” the Inspector frowned suspiciously. “I’m afraid I can’t let you leave this city, however inhabitable it is.”
Luila bent over the two girls gasping for breath. “What happened to you?” the pale skinned girl- probably from Malandrife- gasped, “We-cough cough-swam…” Raymond and Luila looked at each other. “Um. Why didn’t you take the ferry?” The other girl managed to stop coughing long enough to say, “Ferry?”
For some reason, Raymond, the most recent addition to the Heilona, was the only one who realized that these two girls must be Khaira and Lianna. After they got dry, he and Luila brought them to the small ferry that wasn’t motorized- so they wouldn’t wake the village. On the ferry, Lianna filled them in- with many interruptions from Khaira. The gist was, they were going to Aelaas to help out and then they would go to the Heilona HQ.

@admins, i posted a AE Thread some time ago, around 10:10 or something like that. cant find it. if its something to do with things we cant control, like internet or gitches in computers, sorry to bug you. but i was wondering where it went.
